Three years later, I still believe this a good place to eat your heart (and stomach) out! Today the food was tasty, hot and areas always clean. Our server was very attentive and accommodating. This is a good alternative when in Marble Falls!

    Very good Chinese buffet!

Very good! My husband came a year ago and raved about it and he's picky- especially about buffets!! Lots to choose from, very fresh and good! I really liked the shrimp salad!! I'll definitely come back!

Even with the 100+ temperature outside, the inside of the restaurant was very comfortable.

Chef Ling is a brilliant and personable chef who treats her chefs and staff like family. Several different chefs prepared each course, and the presentation was well beyond what we expected, both visually stunning and thoughtfully composed. From the moment we walked into Ling Kitchen, the energy felt warm and intentional. The space is intimate without feeling cramped, and you immediately sense that you are about to be part of something special rather than just another dinner reservation. Chef Ling personally welcomed guests, shared the story behind the menu, and checked in throughout the evening in a way that felt genuine and never forced. Each course built on the last, with a clear progression of flavors and textures. The fish was impeccably fresh, the knife work precise, and the seasoning balanced to highlight the natural ingredients rather than overpower them. You could see the coordination among the team as different chefs stepped forward to prepare and present their dishes. It truly felt collaborative, like a small culinary orchestra. What stood out most was the creativity. Traditional techniques were honored, but there were subtle twists and unexpected combinations that kept us curious and engaged. Every plate was composed like art. The pacing was perfect, allowing time to savor each bite and appreciate the craftsmanship. Beyond the food, the hospitality elevated the entire experience. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly proud to be part of the team. That family atmosphere Chef Ling fosters is palpable and makes the evening feel personal. If you are in Austin and looking for a memorable omakase that rivals experiences in much larger food cities, Ling Kitchen is a must. This is not just dinner, it is a curated, immersive experience. We will absolutely be back. Thank you Ling!!! You are truly one of a kind!

For $150/head you get solid Chinese food, with nice presentation. Once you consider the $150 price point for the meal, paying simply for presentation is not enough, especially if you consider other restaurants competing at this price point. None of the dishes had any real flavor innovations past the traditional taste. You would be able to get a larger version of most dishes, with similar quality in Houston for $20. Not much innovation on the flavors for the palate, but the food had very cute visuals. Service was nice, and the Chef's energy was infectious!

The delivery arrived earlier than predicted which is always appreciated. I don't believe we have ever eaten at Lin's Cafe II. All our meals were piping hot upon arrival. My son's Chicken Fried Rice was as ordered sans veggies with chicken breast only. He gave it 5 thumbs up. Hubby's was Lo-Mein with Mixed Proteins. He was very impressed- the brown sauce was light and delicious, plenty of lo-mein noodles and very tender beef, chicken and tasty shrimp. I order the Szechuan noodles. They were offered with mild, medium or hot spicing. I requested 1 chili peppers worth. It turned out just a little more spicy than I thought it would, but I thought it was very good! My mixed proteins were also super tender and flavorful. The portions were ample and we all will have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I definitely recommend.

Our current favorites are the chicken fried rice, the chicken egg rolls, and the tangerine chicken. Their portions are large. My boyfriend and I have shared a plate before and been full. The staff is always friendly. Tip: look closely at the decor when you walk in at first glance, it is Asian style, but there is Bible scripture and references to Jesus everywhere which we love.

He recommended the lychee martini and it was perfectly made, easily one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. The dumplings were absolutely unbelievable and the duck genuinely changed my life. I will be coming back specifically for that dish. The lamb was also cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. Overall, this was the best dinner I've had in months. From the food to the service, everything exceeded expectations. I've heard so many great things about this restaurant, and we finally made it there over Memorial Day weekend. It absolutely lived up to the hype. This place is truly impressive. You can tell every detail was thoughtfully designed and intentional, from the stunning interior design and décor to the incredibly creative menu. What I loved most was how the dishes stayed rooted in authentic Chinese flavors while adding creative, and sometimes surprising, twists. Everything we ordered was excellent. The Lobster Cheese Puff was a huge hit: crispy on the outside and packed with flavor inside. The Salmon Sashimi Mango Salad was incredibly fresh, bright, and crunchy. The sautéed pea shoots were so tender and fresh. And the Lamb Chop with Spicy Miso Sauce was absolutely unforgettable. One of the biggest surprises for me was the Veggie Fried Rice. As a native Chinese, I've had countless fried rice dishes over the years, but I've honestly never had one prepared quite like this before. It was so flavorful and unique. For dessert, the Chocolate Soup Dumpling was both creative and delicious, and the bunny-shaped sorbet was almost too cute to eat. Our waiter, Jake, was also incredibly attentive and helpful throughout the evening. He made our first experience there even more special. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high-quality Chinese cuisine paired with a beautiful ambiance and elevated dining experience. Perfect for celebrations or a special night out in Austin!

We've tried ordering items gluten-free, and going through each dish ingredient by ingredient to eliminate the gluten-full ones, and ordering items that should not have gluten to begin with. All failed and they were each followed by a long night of cramps and diarrhea. So we've reluctantly crossed them off our list. But if you don't have gluten concerns, the food is pretty good, especially for the more "Chinese" dishes. There is usually at least one Chinese speaker who can talk about Chinese items not on the regular menu. We marked them down slightly for service because it really is hit or miss depending on who you speak with both on the phone and in the restaurant.
