    Shredded Chicken Mole

Grand Hacienda was an excellent Mexican restaurant in St. Pete Beach. I was impressed by the menu variety, service, and speed of the food. Food prices were average and serving sizes were very good. The restaurant isn't large, but it had a good crowd so you knew there was a good following based on food quality. I was impressed they had shredded chicken mole and the flavor was excellent. Overall, definitely worth checking out if you need a break from the fried beach food next time you are in St. Pete.

Stopped in here for dinner after enjoying an afternoon on the beach. Really cute little restaurant with authentic flare. We didn't have a reservation but were seated promptly upon arrival. We arrived around 5:30, I'd defiantly come before 6:00, looks like they tend to get busy after that. Parking in the side or in back but again it fills up so plan ahead. The booths are large with high backs so no awkward look overs. If you have little kids, you understand. The servers were sweet and prompt. The menu is giant! So many options and really something for everyone. We opted for the carne con queso, Mexico City enchiladas and grandmas soup. All were super tasty. The potatoes in the soup threw me for a loop but not in a bad way just not something I'm used to with chicken tortillas soup. Chips and salsa are complimentary. They offer house margaritas and have a happy hour (bogo house margs) 3-6 Monday through Friday. The margaritas were not great if I'm being honest, something about the mix was off. They only have one margarita offering so we swapped for beer.

Service was good, the margarita was okay and the food honestly is way over priced and was not my most favorite Mexican food. Kind of disappointed

Don't drive fast or you'll miss it tucked away on the corner. Nice place with friendly staff, inexpensive margaritas and good food. Interior is standard with booths and tables and not overly huge inside. Good choices were very well done and more on the menu providing a reason to return. Chips and salsa were nice and fresh.

Let's remain entirely objective about Agave. There is no need for emotional exaggeration; here are…read morethe documented facts of this establishment. **Fact 1: The Taco Regime.** They operate under a rigid, militaristic policy regarding taco distribution. The menu clearly states in aggressive red font: "NO MIX AND MATCH." Do not arrive expecting a whimsical tasting flight of varying meats. You will select one of the fourteen options, you will receive four identical soft corn tortillas, and you will live with the consequences of your choice. **Fact 2: The Moisture Tariff.** Additional structural moisture costs exactly $3.00. If you wish to make your $14 Burrito Fajita "wet" with green sauce, red sauce, or cheese dip, you must pay the hydration fee. It is a straightforward financial transaction: you provide three dollars, and your food becomes wet. **Fact 3: The Walnut Cream Incident.** There is an $18 item called Chile en Nogada. It involves a roasted poblano pepper stuffed with ground beef, pork, apples, raisins, and pecans, which is then covered in a walnut cream sauce and pomegranate seeds. I am not passing judgment; I am simply reporting the physical reality of what they are assembling in their kitchen. Consume at your own risk. **Fact 4: Operating Hours.** They are closed on Sundays. If you show up on the Lord's day expecting a $46 pitcher of prickly pear cactus margarita, you will simply be staring at a locked door in a St. Pete Beach parking lot. The transaction was completed exactly as the laminated menu dictated. No more, no less.

I joined a group for a birthday celebration. My friends ordered house margaritas that they all enjoyed. I know a taco salad, chorizo tacos and a beef brisket were ordered. The obligatory chips and salsa were very good and we ordered the queso which was also very good. Then the main course food arrived. The only saving grace was that the rice and black beans were very tasty and not spicy. I ordered the number 3 combination. The beef hard taco was good, however the enchiladas were so spicy that I couldn't eat them. Some type of terrible green sauce made them so hot I almost gagged. Tex mex should be spiced after serving, in my opinion, not during cooking. Traditional Mexican food is not super hot. This was so spicy it burned my throat and I sent them back after powering through.

Snappers was packed at 6:30pm on a Tuesday night. However, as it was late July, we were able to get a table outside right away. There are fans to help with the heat, and it's well ventilated so there was a nice breeze. Our server was prompt and friendly. The menu was seafood with an Asian flair. We started with the crab stuffed portobello (probably the weakest part of the meal) and delicious coconut shrimp. After that, our entrees came with salads, which were also great (tortilla chips and a zesty dressing made it more fun than your usual house salad, but it didn't feel too decadent). I got the snapper, which was served over coconut rice and with a delicious curry sauce and mango chutney. The curry reminded me more of thinner Japanese curry versus Indian or Thai, which I loved. The snapper itself was a nicely-sized piece and was cooked/seasoned perfectly with a hint of spice. The coconut sticky rice was so addictive!! The sweetness of the mango chutney just made each bite a wonderful flavor explosion. I would 100% recommend this dish. My husband got the coconut cashew crusted mahi, which was also excellent (and another huge portion of fish). It seems like you can't go wrong here with a fish dish!

We wanted to eat something that would be filling, comforting, grab a few drinks but not necessarily need a whole sit down experience. So we stumbled upon Casita Taqueria. Thanks to the other awesome reviews, we knew this was the place to go! It literally feels like a casita when you walk in. They have lots of outdoor seating, picnic tables and such. Inside had a bit less seating (especially when it's raining and most of the people want to stay indoors). Either way, we found a table for 5 in no time. The ordering is easy, you go up to the register, order what you want and then they bring the food to you. No servers no waiters just easy. Highly recommend ordering a pitcher of margarita, we got the spicy jalapeño one and it was so refreshing! The food was delicious, freshly made, quick, and perfect for a lunch break. We got the tempeh nachos, rice and beans bowl, chips guac and salsa plus everything else the rest of our table got. We left full and our hearts happy! The ONLY THING I wish I would see was a super spicy house sauce. Which btw, they have a little fridge of their house made sauces for you to grab and enjoy. If you're looking for a (mostly) tequila-based craft cocktail, or a break from the norm in walking distance from numerous hotels and beach bars, this is definitely the place to go. They're related to the excellent Agave restaurant two doors down in the same building, so certain Agave food items are available here. In any case, I stopped in for some drinks recently and loved everything. I started with their Oaxaca Old Fashioned, which is an orange-tasting mix of tequila, mezcal and bitters. Moved on to The Don; a great margarita. Finally, feeling the need to step it up, I asked for a recommendation on a reasonably priced smooth tequila to sip; the recommended Padre Azul anejo was exactly what I was looking for. The interior has more of a lounge vibe than a bar; lots of group seating areas, a pool table, chess, etc. Now, my six months later update to my original review; I've since ventured into the world of mezcal, and love coming here to find random new mezcals they get in. Mezcal is also produced from the agave plant, but unlike tequila, generally can't be produced in anywhere near the volume, so you aren't going to find it receiving the same attention tequila does, since no distiller could generate enough to keep up with the demand an advertising campaign would bring. I've found I really enjoy a smoky mezcal, straight up or even for an upgraded margarita, and many of the mezcals they serve here can also be purchased in bottle form at the liquor store next door (a family member of the owner owns that store).
