See what is on the menu for the night and order a few things to have. Best is to share it with the people you are with. Having a drink and something to eat reminds many of us what it was like when we were in college and sitting in a bar (if we could drink there at that age) and have a bite to eat. It is all good. As for the bartender...it is a place to go. They do know what to do when you place the order. Even ask for a special cocktail they would try themselves and you will have something to enjoy. While in St. Pete, we found this place and really wanted to check it out. We were not disappointed! Our entire family had an absolute blast during our visit. We walked in after musical bingo had started, and received an amazingly warm welcome from the host. The entire staff was equally as kind and helpful. The interior gives those fun tiki vibes, and the decor supports that Polynesian theme. The food snd drinks were very good, as well. Nothing was gimmicky. Came here after attending a craft festival on Corey Avenue. My husband is a tiki bar aficionado, so we have gone to many. This was a fun choice with excellent food. A typical setup with thatched roof bar, lots of tikis and overall fun atmosphere. We were able to pick from their standard menu as well as their brunch menu, and we picked from the latter. We ordered drinks: a captain and diet for hubby, and a quarantini for me which was light and tasty. We shared an appetizer sized ahi tuna, perfectly prepared and served with seaweed salad. Delicious! Our entree was a tasty crab cake served on a pretzel bun and served with tater tots ( our choice), and according to Tom " it was the bomb", as the "combined taste was so good". Our server was just okay; not overly friendly and a bit annoyed when I asked if they served mojitos ( evidently not, had I looked at the menu...) What could be a tasty tiki bar with good drinks....lacks liquor. I thought the specialty tiki drinks were priced low. Tiki drinks advertise boozy fruit added but that's fake news! I noticed a stumbling drunk guy hitting on every chic & almost getting into a fight still holding his drink until he was detoured towards another direction...I felt he was over served & needed a taxi ride home! Yesterday we went to the Corey Arts Festival and stopped in for a quick lunch. Truly a tiki bar and sat at the bar for lunch. First time in so I always like to gauge based on the bar. They have indoor seating as well as outside. Large place with lots of TVs. I ordered the spiked strawberry lemonade - yummy and light. I enjoyed the Greek salad and honey had the Aloha Chicken sandwich with fries. Both were delish and large portions. Service was great and so was the food. My daughter Nicole left a review about her 30th birthday party here at this unfortunate establishment. Kim, the owner of Twisted Tiki, decided to rebuttal, so as we all know there are three sides to a story, her side, her side and the truth. All I will say is... Do not have a party here and let KIM decorate for you!!! Decorations were just awful! I offered to do it myself but Kim said "Trust me I do this all the time"...In this picture is an example of a backdrop that was used and she had it 4 feet off the floor. Who does that? The backdrop was 8 feet tall. I didn't wanna see her outdated wallpaper underneath our backdrop. I told her the most important thing was having lots of balloons, there were maybe 20. The woman has no eye for Decor at all!!!!!!! Plus, she said (in her rebuttal) she came in on her day off to do our decorations Am I to feel sorry for her that she showed up on her day off when she owns the business? How accommodating seriously? My daughter was not an hour late we asked her to come after 7 o'clock to make sure everybody was there. She was there by 7:15. As far as Nikki's boyfriend, YES! he was very drunk and he very much acted out of hand and we are very sorry that that situation happened. We would have apologized to the table and the DJ "JONNY B" had he not kept going on and on and disrupting the whole night intermittently about this, calling us out even after her boyfriend left (without incident, I might add)...He was never charged or even spoken to about this situation. But as the cops said, Twisted Tiki & Jonny B took it out of context due to the fact that the DJ was encouraging people to throw things at him for fun, AT A BAR!!! Nikki's boyfriend doesn't drink very much so this hit him hard and he SCREWED UP, but had the DJ just shut up about it (once his statement was given to the cops) this review would never even been considered, but him and his 10 followers, who were drunk also that night I might add, made it to the point where we left early and we DID pay for everything!!! Have to add to my previous review. My friend and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The holiday decorations were fun and festive. The atmosphere friendly. I enjoyed a rum eggnog garnished with jimmies and a candy cane which was decadently delicious (thanks Amy). The Ahi tuna with seaweed with all the tasty accompaniments was a bit tough but did not disappoint. Will definitely order again. My friend ordered the Pineapple Express. What a dish. It's half of a fresh pineapple stuffed with chicken Teriyaki and rice topped with pineapple chunks and sesame seed. Both entrees were truly delicious. The music being played by the customers was so good that we stayed for another drink just to enjoy the day with fun loving folks. The friendly establishment on Corey Ave is a perfect location. Arrived at 5 pm on Friday 1/10 at 5 pm to eat dinner then watch the Shake Society. Almost all tables were marked reserved. We sat at one anyway as it was empty. The reserved table was for someone named Karen. She actually had 20 seats reserved. We saw at least 40 people come in trying to eat between 5-6 pm, who left to Dine elsewhere since Karen said her tables were reserved. 40 guests at $20 per between 5 and 6 pm lost sales. Regarding the reserved 20 seats. Karen filled 15 of 20. Observing Karen, for 4 hours, she personally ordered nothing from the kitchen or bar. Drank water from the cooler by the front door. We stood for a while. Had we been able to sit and receive service, you'd have sold an appetizer and 2 entrees. Instead we spent $40 on drinks and left. Your reserved tables lost you $2k in sales from 5-630 pm. Hopefully Karen tipped well. May want to reconsider your reservation policies. Use open table, or require all to be present before seating a large party. Bad management. ​ read more

What an absolute gem! We were invited to try Twisted Tiki by a friend and we are glad we were! The restaurant has that local home town bar feel. Additionally, there was live music which always makes the experience even better. We started our meal with the Crab Rangoon Egg rolls, boiled shrimp, and taco dip. Everything was absolutely delicious!!! For our entree's I had the pineapple chicken and it was very good. My partner had wings and a side of tots! I haven't had a lot of success with the bars on Corey avenue but this one we liked. They did a good job with the tiki interior and had a number of rum drinks that were quite tasty. Get the one with coconut and blue curaçao. It was good. Being on Corey avenue, this bar tends to attract older people in the afternoon. We were the youngest people there and we are middle aged. My wife and I stopped by one afternoon recently to grab a bite and have a drink. The food was pretty decent. We had a really good cheeseburger, good tasting and it reminded of a home made burger, served with nice crispy tater tots. Their wings were good too, tasty Buffalo sauce and all drumettes. The service was also excellent, really nice ladies behind the bar took great care of us. The problem was the Mai Tais, they weren't even good bad Mai Tais, they were fruit juice, mostly pineapple and orange with some cheap rum in them. Normally, a bad drink would only knock a star off but "tiki" is right there in the name the place! Go, hang out outside with your dog, enjoy some tasty bar food and drink BEER! read more

We visited Twisted Tiki on Friday night. We first sat at the bar, but moved to a table because the two guys next to us were very drunk and continued to yell and swear. The bartender definitely over served them but should have cut them off and asked them to leave. At the table there was a hand written note reserving the table for 8 pm. It was only 6:30 at the time. The band Full Throttle was scheduled to play at 7 pm. The band never played and started drinking. Apparently, the lead singer didn't show up. The band should have played some music , so we had some music to listen to. We waited an hour but still no music , so we left. We didn't see a manager take control of this unacceptable situation. These people are the greatest! We had a wedding wind down at 9:30 at the zamora and we were looking for a place to take the after party. We went to Jimmy b's and they were great, but as soon as the bride and groom arrived we were told they were closing. I scouted ahead and was going to see if swigwam was still open but I turned an open door too early and explained to the bartender that we had 20-30 people ready to party and spend money. The bartender said he'd gladly stay open and Kim the owner said they would do anything we needed to help. Needless to say we had a great time and the twisted tiki really came thru in the clutch.
