Before the day of, I placed a cash deposit to hold the room, and someone reached out before the event to have me place the order for what I wanted on the tables before or right when I arrive. My brother and sister-in-law were able to go in a half hour early to set up some decorations before I got there and when I arrived everything was perfect (FYI: the restaurant DOES NOT provide a cake, decorations, or extra tables and stuff but just ask if you can bring your own stuff, and CLEAN that up yourselves afterwards). All of my guests and myself were very satisfied with the food, service, and communication. Karaoke was easy to adjust. Just make sure you go in hungry and ready to sing. We did think it was supposed to be another room, but I had less than 40 people, while the other room was around 50 people. It wasn't an issue though. I wanted to really like this place but it fell short for me (and I gave this place a second try to make sure I was absolutely positive about the review I wanted to make). Grand Hotpot Lounge does a great job in offering a variety of different AYCE options (free drinks during the service, multiple options of AYCE hotpot and different meat/veggie/fishball options, full sauce-bar, and free dessert) which is why I would give this place 2 stars. The ambiance of the entire restaurant felt open and not overly crowded, with a karaoke bar being separated from the rest of the restaurant. What disappointed me the most were the flavors of their broth. In the two times I went, I ordered Tom Yum + a bone broth. Bone broth was just OK and the tom yum was straight up just not tom-yum at all. It was dark, salty, and had no flavor associated with what tom yum is. It is also very difficult trying to get ahold of the servers to even refill the soup for you. Usually at other hot pot places, they go around with refills when they notice your pot being low on soup or beginning to thick up from the meats - the service here fell very short on being attentive. Another thing that really disappointed me was the service and quality of service when it came to my larger group. It felt so hard trying to get a waiter to take our order and help us. Additionally, when it came to asking questions, it seemed like the team were all over the place with standard protocol (in our case: it was questions about how long our group had for the AYCE portion, and if 2 more family members came later on during the dinner service, what would the additional price be). The first time we asked, they let us know that the other family members could join our table, but we would still need to honor the 90 min AYCE dinner service - we understood this. Once our addtl party of 2 showed up, all of a sudden they wanted them to move to a different table and be separated. This caused a lot of frustration, confusion, and made things very uncomfortable. There needs to be better understanding among all the staff members and transparency to avoid any miscommunication. Came on Labor Day (Monday night @9:20pm), and we were so grateful that they opened late (until 11pm). It wasn't super busy so we didn't have to wait for a table. I enjoyed my dinner at Grand Hotpot Lounge. Upon my arrival the person seating us was very efficient and spoke zero words to us, instead he used hand motions to get us seated. We didn't mind, thought it was pretty funny. However, minus one star because I felt like I was inconveniencing them because we had never came here before and were all unfamiliar with the ordering experience. There's a pen on the table and the paper menu, you just write the quantity of items and they come take the paper and you get your order. I also hate self serve sauce bars because I suck at making sauces. But drinks are included (we did course C) the alcohol they get for you, but can drinks you can help yourself to from the fridge. They also have a wide variety of ice cream flavors in the front of the restaurant. The restaurant was nice and I peeked in the karaoke rooms those look fun too. Okay here's the deal. If you love hotpot and you love karaoke, y'all HAVE to make your way out here. This place has VIP rooms for AYCE hotpot AND karaoke. At the same time. I came with family and friends, and while we only tried the AYCE hotpot (no karaoke this time), it hit the spot. The inside is elevated and spacious with lots of seating options. They have booths and round tables and you'll get seated accordingly depending on the party size. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the menu also included all you can drink items too, with a selection of different drinks to choose from--sodas, juices, teas, etc. On top of that, there is all you can eat ice cream. It can't get any better than that. The way you order at this place is to mark all the items you want on the provided menu. The menu will ask you what kind of soups, meats, veggies, noodles, and appetizers you want. I came here for a private party in their large room and I think it's a little harder since the tables are larger and leaning over compared to smaller tables but the food is still really good and service is good too. There are plenty of parking spots outside the restaurant. Their format for the menu is basically the same as the other location. You can choose from three different tiers - A, B, and C. A has the basics without all-you-can-drink alcohol (regular drinks are included, though). B includes all-you-can-drink alcohol along with items such as sashimi and other seafood! C is the most expensive and includes everything from A & B, soju, and more! The food itself is fresh, and they have multiple broths that you can choose from. The variety here is unbeatable with their menu and drink options. Dessert is also included! I can't get enough of the black sesame ice cream. Currently this is the BEST All You Can Eat Hotpot restaurant for me in the Sacramento area. I came in around 8PM at night and surprisingly it was NOT busy at all and my party immediately got sat. It was our first time dining in and we thoroughly were explained how the menu works. To sum it up, you have 3 courses to choose from Course A ($25.99/person), B ($35.99/person), or C ($47.99/person), priced as of February 2026. In my honest opinion you get so much food options even at Course A. But my party opted for Course B because it includes all you can drink: Sapporo, Chardonnay, Cabernet, and Sake (and Enoki & Shittake Mushrooms which are my favorite) Each staff member who interacted with us was very kind and always checking up on us. The food was greatly delicious and it came out so very quick. I will say that orders of any of the meats are generous and my party was not used to seeing hefty meat portions as compared to other restaurants, for us that was a nice bonus. We opted for the House Original & House Curry broth and it was fantastic. I do wish they had a LITTLE bit more sauce selection at the sauce bar. Their drinks are self serve and all in cans/bottles. You have drinks ranging from waters, sodas, juices, teas, and even milk tea which was very very unique. To top it off they have AYCE ice cream too which I find awesome when restaurants include that. We only placed three rounds of orders for a total of 6 girls. We selected Tier B for $35.99, which wasn't bad for the price for AYCE. The server explained the ordering form clearly and was able to answer additional questions we had throughout our dinner. Also, they help clean up our table when we did cake, which was a plus. Food --- I would say it was a hit and miss for my friends and I. I personally, enjoyed most of the food and options. I really like the abalone, which was really good with the hotpot. I can devour a dozen of those if that was available, sadly...it was one of the limited options on the menu to one per person. I was disappointed by the salmon sashimi that was also limited. I wouldn't say it was sashimi because it didn't look fresh enough to eat as sashimi and it was too fishy. I took a bite and it was not sashimi texture. Instead of wasting it, I just cook it in the pot, which was a bummer. As for the broth....all the soup (we had four soups) we had was okay. None really stood out and we couldn't identify what is what because they all taste very similar. I tried the young coconut juice with jelly, which was good. The small sake was actually pretty big in size. The portions are big so for some items like the less desirable meats and veggies, it might be better to ask for half or a third (depending how big your party is). We ordered a variety of dishes - many kinds of sliced meats including ribeye, pork, belly, supreme, beef, fish, fillet, lamb, and flank steak. The best one was the rib eye. The salmon sashimi was good. The honey glazed prawns were good. The sesame balls were good. The udon and quail eggs were good. The lychee ice cream was good, followed by mango. It was fun to cook the food and take our time eating. I would definitely ask for way less food next time. They give you so much if you order one item. I like how they are open late too. I have been eager to try this rather new Ayce hotpot since it opened last year. Located in South Sac on 24th. Came here for the happy hour price $24.99 at 9pm which goes off the lunch ayce menu. They also have a karoake room you can rent per hour if you don't want hotpot. The karoake is located right on the other side of the wall, so it may get loud bc it's so close in proximity. Will try the karaoke another time. The happy hr comes with unlimited drinks but no alcohol. It wasn't too busy when we came in and got seated fairly quickly and was able to order 10 min til 9pm. At your table, you mark off what ingredients and what broth you want. Keep in mind, if you have a party of 2-4, you can only select at most two different broths. The broth pot is centered at your table for everyone to grab from. We got the house spicy curry and veggie mushroom broth. It was pleasant. Our favorites of the night was the honey walnut shrimp and shanghai scallion pancakes, unlimited drinks, and ice cream section. The only let down was the sauce bar. My usual go to sauce didn't taste right, which it normally does. Probably something they can improve on. Went to checkout and they gave out coupon incentives. I got $18 worth back for our party of 3.
