My friends and I enjoyed singing karaoke and dinner on a weekday night here! We came in with no reservations and wanted a smaller room, but unfortunately all the smaller rooms had reservations already. We opted for a medium size room, which had a bar-like seating area and multiple couches. Salt & Pepper Fish: This was crispy and well-seasoned and personally my favorite snack/dish! Green Beans: There was a good balance of garlic and spice, and this made for a good side vegetable dish. Empress Martini: They originally brought out the wrong drink (Espresso Martini) and double-downed that it was the correct drink. Thankfully, I was able to convince them that it was the incorrect drink, and I was brought the Empress Martini instead, which was refershing and smooth. Good food and drinks, and the selection of music is ample to choose from (there is also the option of searching up Youtube videos).

Real authentic Chinese food! Taste 100% better then other Chinese restaurants. Great customer service and they're always refilling your water and checking up on you. The area is very nice and family oriented, it's a nice late night spot or a great family dinner spot.

Star KTV Lounge is more than just a karaoke lounge, it's also a Hong Kong cafe style restaurant / boba spot. Came for dinner and got the: Salt & pepper fish cod 10/10 Fish cod & tofu "clay" pot 10/10 Pork ribs & bitter melon 10/10 Everything was really delicious and perfectly flavored. It hit the spot and I look forward to going back. Friendly staff, delicious food, and they're open late.

Me and my friends love this place - not for the karaoke (we do home karaoke), but for the snack food and Cantonese cuisine staples! On addition, it's always the only place open after 10 pm so when we have the munchies, this is the go to. I recently came back from the east coast and, like always, this is always our first gathering spot, and for many other locals it is the local 3rd place. If traveling from out of town, come here if you want to get a feel for Sacramento, and it's charm!

I have dine in on 3 separate occasions since October 2025, the last 2 were in the last 2 weeks. I am highly impressed with the improved quality of the food. The garlic fried chicken wings are still amazingly delicious. So crispy, tender, and flavorful. The dry style beef chow fun is not overly greasy. The additional items that I tried were the roast duck and the clams. Both were really good. This restaurant will be on my rotational places to dine at.

Came friday evening, not too many people but some people. Ordered stir fried cod with black bean sauce(?) beef stew chow fun, house fried rice, and mandarin ribs. Theyre stuff imo is on the pricey sauce especially for the portions given. Our chow fun took literally 30 minutes to come out, we were alr almost done eating. Other stuff came out fairly quicker. Overall food was mid, fried rice decent flavor but so oily, same with cod stir fry the bottom had a huge pool of oil and i feel like it was alot of onions/bell peppers. Ribs were whatever, its not that tender and flavor is okay. Chow fun very below par esp waiting half an hour, lacking flavor and beefstew was not that tender, alot of tendons or wtv its called. Barely any service. With a more modern style restaurant with younger workers i expected atleast a little service but not much. Came to refill our tea once, but no greetings entering or leaving, werent friendly didnt say much. Wouldnt come back :D

This is a good place to come for that late night authentic Chinese food cravings! We came as a group of 5 around 9:30 and was seated immediately. We ordered a variety of dishes, each one was very delicious. The salt and pepper cod was a bit too salty, but their mapo tofu was really good and had a great szechuan kick to it. Servers were nice, they took our order quickly and food came out as quick too. The guava tea was also super tasty and refreshing.

Haven't been here for karaoke but my husband and I have really enjoyed the food so far. The menu is extensive and everything we've ordered so far has had great flavor! During our recent visits, there's aunties and uncles eating there too, so you know it's legit. Service has been great as well. Servers we've encountered speak both Cantonese and English. Parking lot can be a little cramped.

Overpriced, Unorganized, and Lowkey a Scam My friends and I were hyped to try this place since it's near our house, but honestly? Never again. The pricing starts at $24/hour before 7 PM and then jumps to $48/hour after 7 PM, which already felt steep. But what really got me? The mandatory 18% gratuity fee--and trust me, this place did not earn that tip. Karaoke Experience: A Mess We booked a two-hour session, and right away, it was just meh. The room was a decent size, but the disco lights didn't work, and we had multiple technical issues that ate into our time. One of the mics was completely broken, leaving us with just one working mic for four people (which, at a karaoke place, is insane). And let's talk about the "karaoke system." Spoiler: There wasn't one. They literally had us pulling up songs on YouTube like we were at home with a Chromecast. Sure, it lets you sing anything, but it also means you're stuck with whatever random, low-quality karaoke versions exist online. It just felt cheap. Then, in the middle of our session, the system crashed for over 10 minutes, and we had to call staff to fix it. When my friend asked if we'd get extra time to make up for it, the staff member straight-up ignored her for a solid 10 minutes while fumbling with the system. In the end, she reluctantly gave us an extra 10 minutes, but the miscommunication didn't stop there. When 7 PM rolled around, another staff member barged in asking if we wanted to extend our time, even though we had already gotten the extension. Like... maybe communicate with each other?? Food: Overpriced and Mid We ordered food, and honestly, I wish we hadn't. It's overpriced, mid-tier Chinese food--think golden buffet quality, but triple the price. What made it worse? They served some of us on actual plates but gave the rest of us PAPER PLATES. So let me get this straight--I'm paying an 18% mandatory tip and you can't even give everyone a real plate? The one redeeming factor? The Thai tea was decent. But even that was ruined by the fact that the boba was slimy and overcooked. The Drink Scam This part actually pissed me off. I went outside the karaoke room to order my drink separately at the bar--specifically so it wouldn't be tied to the food bill. My drink was listed as $11, but when I paid, it magically became $15 because they automatically added the 18% gratuity fee without telling me. Like, $4 in tip for one drink?? I would've tipped regardless, but this sneaky fee with no warning is actually ridiculous. The same thing happened to my friend who got boba--her $6.75 drink became almost $8. Service: Straight-Up Rude After karaoke, we wanted to sit in the dining area (which was basically empty) to finish our food. One staff member said it was fine, but when we actually sat down, another acted like we were inconveniencing him just by being there. He kept giving us attitude, even though we were literally eating food we bought from them. It was so awkward, and the other staff members were just glaring at us the whole time. At this point, we realized they just wanted us to pay and leave so they could pocket the 18% gratuity. Which, fine, whatever--but at least be upfront about it instead of making us feel like we were unwelcome. Final Verdict: Not Worth It We paid $137 for four people and walked away feeling scammed. The karaoke setup was lazy, the service was disrespectful, and the hidden fees were next-level shady. If you're gonna charge mandatory gratuity, at least train your staff to be polite and competent. Save your money. Just do karaoke at home for free.

Star KTV is one of my go to spots when I'm craving Chinese food. It's open until 2am which is nice when I'm craving a late night meal. I usually come here with my friends and we go a little over board with ordering since we want to try everything. What we ordered: French fries Salt Pepper Chicken Wings Honey Walnut Shrimp Fillet Eggplant Pot Shrimp with Egg Chow Fun Side of Rice Everything I listed here is delicious! My favorite item personally is the filet eggplant pot and chicken wings. I would order that if I went here alone. I walk in hungry and I leave being full. The employees were super nice and helpful if you need anything. They were constantly asking about filling our waters. The inside of the restaurant has a nice vibe to it and they have TVs playing music all around the room. Also, they serve boba / smoothie drinks here as well I'll be back here again soon. Thank you Star KTV!

Last minute dinner with the family and it was my first time there. I knew this has been here, but I always thought it's just for karaoke. Parking is a nightmare, it's narrow and it is only one way!! The restaurant itself is quite spacious and bright, but it's like any typical Chinese restaurant. The service was alright, nothing special. The food itself was your typical chinese food. The chow fun had a decent "wok-hey", the pan fried crispy noodles didn't look pleasing too me. The chicken and the sauce just didn't look appetizing to me, but it was for the kids. We also ordered the Mongolian beef, garlic beans, and egg flower soup. The Mongolian beef was a bit chewy and too salty to my taste and so was the garlic beans. Although the beans were my favorite out of everything. The soup was so-so. Overall decent dinner. Wouldn't be my first or second choice.

On my latest visit it was a very busy Sunday, but I was able to place an order for take-out and then wait in my car for the order to be ready. I ended up ordering the pork steamed rice noodle roll, the beef and cilantro steamed rice noodle roll, the garlic long beans, and the beef and mixed mushrooms. I saw a couple of other Elites dining in when I was ordering, but it was so busy I couldn't properly say hi, so "HI DAVID AND EVA!" I'll have to keep an eye out for their next review, because whatever they had looked delish! I waited in the car for a bit and then when the order still needed a few more minutes I popped into the dollar store next door to kill a bit more time. Before I knew it my order was ready to go. They packed everything really nicely and we served it up as soon as we got home. Their rice noodle rolls are so flavorful and I love the sweet, salty and savory sauce that comes with it. The noodles are really filling, and the dishes we got would be enough food for 2-4 people depending on how hungry you are. We ate the rice rolls right away and then had leftover green beans and beef and mushrooms for lunch today. The green beans were fresh and had a great garlic flavor, without it being too much. The Beef and Mushrooms was great, the beef was tender and flavorful and the mushrooms soaked up all the sauce. There were also green beans in this dish, which was a perfect addition. I really need to dine in soon for the full experience, but take-out has always been a win for me.

We decided to try a little bit of everything and here is what we ordered: hot and sour soup, potstickers, spicy cucumbers, BBQ pork, BBQ pork fried rice, Mongolian beef, and honey walnut shrimp. The food came out fast and piping hot. Pretty soon our entire table was covered with dishes. We started with the hot and sour soup, which we both felt was lacking in the flavor department. It didn't have that spicy tang that you look for when you order hot and sour soup. The potstickers were fried crispy, but the dough was a little too thick. The spicy cucumbers had no flavor to them at all. And the honey walnut shrimp was not memorable. We both felt that the two best dishes were the BBQ pork fried rice and the Mongolian beef. The beef was tender and had good flavor. The prices were extremely fair and the portions were large, but all in all this was not my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area.

The restaurant itself also has a nice, old-school Chinese feel that adds to the experience. That said, there is a serious packaging issue that needs attention. The food is served extremely hot, and for takeout it is packed in styrofoam containers. In some cases, the heat is so intense that it causes the containers to warp or even melt through at the bottom. This raises concerns about food safety and materials leaching into the food, especially given how hot the items are served. On one occasion, I noticed the container had partially fused to the breading of a chicken dish, and I could actually taste what seemed to be the styrofoam. While I understand styrofoam is common for takeout, I would strongly encourage a switch to more heat-resistant and safer alternatives, such as waxed paper-lined or higher-grade containers, especially for very hot dishes. Overall, the food and service are excellent, but the packaging choice takes away from an otherwise great experience.

Adj: dependably and predictably ok Chinese food…read more We've been coming here for Chinese meals both sit down and take out from when they used to be Holiday Villa. That was decades ago. About 10 or so years ago, they changed ownership or rather they went through what seems like several changes and then they became Lucky Jade which is kind of a chain but not exactly. I recall at one time, the workers wear shirts that look kind of like uniforms with another store's name on the back with address and phone numbers, so apparently Lucky Jade is owned by people who also own a few other Chinese restaurants but not by the same exact name. In any case, Chinese food can be pretty formulaic, so it's not really that hard to have consistency as long as the cooks know how to make common standard dishes, the taste generally would not be too different. This is true for Lucky Jade. We had take out recently and got a chow fun, a chow mein, and a broccoli beef. The first was quite tasty, on the oily side but I've not found any place able to make it not too oily and still yummy so it's necessary for this dish. Then there's the chow mein, this one was not good. Kind of non descript and the oil tasted oil (reused). Not too greasy which is my biggest complaint of chow mein from elsewhere like New Lai Wah, but again, this did not taste fresh. Finally, the broccoli beef was overcooked. Broccoli was not quite mushy but almost, still a little bit of crunch but you can see they were turning yellow. And the beef was so chemically tenderized (hopefully only with baking soda and not worse) bc it was also almost mushy. Wasn't cheap either, but on par with other Chinese restaurants around here for take out. I think I'll just tell my in laws they can just order from Bel Air Hot Chinese food deli on Florin Rd which is in the same plaza and they'd pay less and the food would actually taste better with fresher oil (probably not reused) and better quality beef that doesn't need to be tenderized to a questionable quality. Overall, not too good.

We had some friends over and decided to grab some traditional and non traditional Chinese cuisine for lunch. Hence we opted to dine at Lucky Jade for their diverse menu, accommodations to dishes due to allergy constraints, and fast service. So what did we order: 1) chicken teriyaki with sauce on the side: the entree arrived covered with teriyaki sauce. What was troubling, the server was trying to have our diner accept the kitchens mistake of covering the chicken with sauce..even when our diner refused, the server tried again to convince our diner to accept this dish. finally, the head wait staff told the server to take the item back to the kitchen. However, when the dish returned, the chicken was no longer grilled but fried. I hope the kitchen didn't rinsed the chicken off of the teriyaki sauce and deep fried the same chicken instead of grilling a fresh piece of chicken. Plus, our diners bowl of rice was forgotten and we had to remind the wait staff. 2) broccoli chicken w/fried rice: it was your basic american chinese dish and our diner only orders chinese combo plates. So he had no complaints. 3) Green bean chicken in black bean sauce: very nice black bean flavor, tender moist chicken but half of the green beans were old and stringy. The prep cook needed better prepping in food preparation- please toss out old green beans before the cooks prepare an entree- what was sad, this dish is always exceptionally well prepared in the past. Not today. 4) fried smelt: very good. no complaints on this dish. 5) chicken and asparagus in garlic sauce: moist chicken but again the prepping of the asparagus was lacking. When our wait staff informed us that they had fresh asparagus- we jumped to her reco. Unfortunately, this dish was served with the woody bottom ends of the asparagus. Which is tough, stringy, and just inedible. Plus, our dishes arrived at different times- in some cases 5-10 minutes apart. Perhaps the Kitchen staff had communication and food prep issues today. Not sure, but i would not recommend dining here on a Sunday. Perhaps the "B or C" team of cooks and prep cooks were definitely working tonight. And the wait staff should have caught the mistake from the kitchen and never served that dish...let alone, trying to push a dish that was not properly prepared or requested by the diner. That is also unacceptable. sorry no pics. Would I return....not sure now.
