We live in San Francisco and always stop by here after snowboarding--super convenient with a nearby Supercharger. The food is fresh, delicious, all-you-can-eat, with fully customizable dipping sauces. You can grab most items from the conveyor belt and order meats / drinks directly from the staff. We especially love the pork belly. We visited about 6 times and saw Phong 3 times. He was incredibly friendly, always smiling, went above and beyond, consistently checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Truly outstanding service. So glad they opened a Seapot in Sac so I can get my fix without going to the Bay Area now :) Came on a Saturday at 6pm for a party of 2 noting 30min wait on the Yelp waitlist but actually no one was waiting much in the front when we got in to checkin and we got seated right away (maybe people starting to add names to the waitlist for 7pm!). Opted for hotpot only which is imo my go-to here, but appreciate that the sauce/salad bar has some Chinese sides / Korean banchan to cut through the meat (e.g. seaweed salad, pickled radish, korean fishcake, pretty good cold marinated pigs ears). Fried sides at the bar such as the eggrolls we skipped after 1x bc they were quite soggy. I've been to basically all the norcal Seapot locations now, this one and San Mateo are probably my go-to based on the fact they both have the best soup selection. My partner likes the tomato broth and I like creamy milk (sweet, savory, w some corn), which is unfortunately not on the menu of the Daly City location. In terms of meats, we usually just keep a steady flow of beef (Angus, Wagyu, Ribeye, Brisket) coming and enjoy all of them. Our waiter was very attentive, worked a lot of tables and we never had to ask for more soda refills or meat orders. As we ate, the restaurant got more crowded for the 7pm weekend dinner rush so we watched waves of ppl starting to line up at the sauce/salad bar after initially being seated so we would wait for these to die down before walking up there. Meat took a little bit more time to come out when it got more busy after we ordered with our waiter, but was a steady flow as we ate. If you come with a 4+ people, it's most fun to sit close to the conveyor in the booth to have best access to the hotpot sides. Depending on where you are seated on the conveyor, you might need to wait for certain seafood or noodle sides longer than others. But luckily the meat comes separately to your table, which is the star of the show anyways. Overall love Seapot and it is a nice addition to Sac esp during the cold season! read more

They have the revolver that has toppings for your hot pot & also a bar for the Korean bbq. Downside is the table has to agree on one selection meaning everyone has to do hot pot, or k bbq or both. Seapot is always a great experience ! I love going here and getting the house spicy hotpot and I really love the sweet and spicy sauce it's my go to sauce and it's one of my favorite sauces ! My whole family loves it and the meat here is always so good we love the Australian Wagyu ! I was so happy to finally see more enoki mushrooms when I went today because I never get to see it when I come here. The conveyor belt has its hit or miss days when it comes to what comes on the belt like some days you will see stuff you like sometimes you don't. Like one time I went I didn't see ANY enoki mushrooms that day and then another time I went I saw enoki mushrooms once LOL. We decided to take my mother in law for mother's day to this place. It was the best of both worlds; Hot pot + Korean BBQ. We had a large party of 12 and reserved ahead of time to ensure we had a spot. When we got there, it was not pack at all. We were seated and immediately asked what option we all wanted. We decided to go with the hotpot/kbbq. I would say that the hotpot+Korean bbq was quite a lot. I could had probably just done the hotpot and been fine with it. The broth was alright. If i wanted hotpot, i probably go to another shabu heat. The nice thing here is that there were a lot of room. They changed out our grill as much as they can. The food overall was decent. Seapot is an all you can eat hot pot and Korean bbq restaurant and it's pretty good. I originally heard of Seapot from the Bay Area, but now Sacramento has a location in the South Sac area. We came for an early dinner on a Sunday and there was no wait. Although we only had 3 people, the booths were large and could easily fit 10 people. We opted for hot pot only, which was $32.99. You can have both Korean bbq and hot pot for $5 more. First, you can select the type of broth you want. We all chose tonkotsu. What is great about Seapot is that each person has their own individual pot. No sharing germs, no losing the food you put in the pot..everything is yours and you control the temperature. You order the meats from your server, but for the veggies, noodles, and sides, there is a conveyor belt that runs plates of food along the side of the table you can pick up. There is also a station at the front with sauce, appetizers, fruit, and desserts. We enjoyed a variety of meats including ribeye, brisket, and Australian wagyu. From the conveyor belt, we liked the seafood - clams, mussels, squid, and ramen, udon, and veggies. We also liked some of the fruit and the sesame balls from the dessert station. There is a 90 minute limit to dining, which they were strict to enforce. Drinks were not included in the AYCE price. Service was not bad, but not extraordinary. read more

Really great food! Came here on a Sunday and it got pretty busy around 6:30pm. I love the concept and we chose to just do the hotpot option with sukiyaki broth. The toro was the star of the show and it was amazingg and we kept ordering it haha! I also love the idea of the conveyor belt where I am able to choose what items to put in my hotpot. It was decent and husband loved the Galbi short ribs but we both felt it wasn't necessary with all the great items available for hot pot. Love the conveyor belt option. Love being able to grab ingredients just a few inches away. Our favorite server, Kyle, makes our visits even more enjoyable. I went to Seapot for the first time with friends and was excited to try it out. I really enjoy a good Kbbq restaurant. I arrived first and got on the waiting list. You will not be seated until your entire party has arrived which is understandable. The restaurant is huge and super clean inside which is a huge plus and the booth we sat at were very comfortable and spacious. We all picked menu A which is meat and a decent amount of seafood options and hot pot. The ingredients for your hotpot you grab table side from the conveyor belt. They also have appetizers you get up and get from the hot/cold table with your sauces and toppings. I was a little disappointed in the vegetable options it lacked a lot and they do not serve sesame balls except on the weekends. The food was really good otherwise. I left full and happy. We were really bummed out that the happy hours is later at night 8:30pm-11pm as with other Kbbq spots have a much earlier happy hour or even all day happy hour. Out waitress wasn't very personable and forgot to bring food items ordered to the table. Unfortunately, she was getting her 18% either way. I would come back. My son took me to Seapot in Sacramento for Mother's Day dinner, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. He paid for the all-you-can-eat premium KBBQ for our party of five, along with drinks, and spent well over $300 for the evening. We ordered three rounds of food, and during the third round, we were still actively eating and still had food on our plates when a server came over and asked us to leave. We were all shocked because we had clearly not finished our meal. What made the situation even more upsetting was that there were other parties there who had been seated longer than us, yet no one approached them or asked them to leave. The way we were treated made us feel singled out and uncomfortable. As a family, we left feeling embarrassed, hurt, and honestly questioning whether racism played a role in how we were treated because we were African American. Mother's Day was supposed to be a special evening with my family, but instead we left disappointed and in shock. Sadly, after this experience, I would not return. read more

We stopped by Seapot with a large party of 10 for hot pot. Overall, it was an okay experience. Our waitress was great, he stayed on top of refills and was quick about bringing out our protein orders. The soup bases were flavorful, and we enjoyed the variety. The vegetables and other hot pot items come out on a conveyor belt, which is a fun concept. However, two people were seated next to the belt to easily grab items. The people sitting farther away had a hard time seeing what was coming by and asking for what they wanted, which made it a bit inconvenient for a large party. In hindsight, we probably should have requested separate booths to make things more manageable. One thing to note for large groups: when we asked to split the bill among three families, we were told they could only split it two ways. Because of that, I ended up covering more than I should have. One family had 5 hot pots and paid $210 for their group and left. I covered group 2 and ours I paid 260 which was also 5 hot pots total and 3 soda, because group 2 had 2 hot pots and 1 soda and was calculated to pay only $86. My group only had 3 hot pots and 2 soda, yet we ended up paying $180 because the $60 tip for the entire group was included in our portion. Splitting it evenly afterward didn't feel fair based on what each family ordered. Honestly If splinted equally group 1 has same amount as group 2 and ours together. Overall, it was a decent experience with good service and flavorful soup. Would I go again? Maybe, but I'd definitely plan the seating and payment situation differently next time. read more

There was so much space at the table, we could have fit 4 more people with us! Walking in at almost 7pm on a Wednesday night and there was absolutely no wait. All the little extras they have to make your own personal sauces was so nice. Its set up off to the side of the restaurant, next to the bar. So many options, it was so fun to try something new. We ordered the miso hot pot and 3 or 4 meats for the BBQ and off we went! I pulled at least 2 different noodles off the conveyor belt. They had everything from bok choy to squid and scallops. I feel like they forgot that we ordered a couple of beers for people at our table, hence the 4 star. But all the food looked fresh and everything was very tasty. I loved going to the seapot in sj, so was super excited when sac opened a seapot! This location is also pretty enormous with many tables for huge parties. We went on a Friday night around 7:30PM and only had to wait about 10 mins! They do have the online waitlist to check wait times though if it does get busy. Seapot is ayce. You order meat and beverages through your server and then any extra ingredients you can retrieve from the revolving conveyor belt. I like seapot but I realized that if you have a party bigger than 4, it can be a bit inconvenient to grab plates for people that can't reach the conveyor since it's only on one side. I like the idea but the downside is that other tables may take a plate before it reaches you and I've noticed that some of the ingredients aren't super fresh. Seapot does have a sauce bar and a some hot food items available as appetizers! The staff were attentive and checked up on my table pretty frequently. Plenty of parking since it's located in a plaza. Came here during lunch on a Monday- there was plenty of seating. They don't seat you unless you have your full party because there is a time limit as soon as you sit down. The lunch price on weekdays is really great. We got both the hotpot and kbbq so it was $26.99 per person for ayce. They have a revolving station in the middle for all of the hotpot sides, which was nice so we didn't have to keep ordering that. The hotpot meat and kbbq meat were pretty good too! Not the freshest meat there is, some of it clearly frozen, but still tasted good. I had the Thai pot- which tasted like a tom yum base, it was a tasty broth! Cons: Ok, two but they were pretty influential to our entire experience. The water is not filtered. It tastes literally right out of your kitchen sink. The water hardness in Sacramento is pretty damn high, so this is very noticeable. So gross, no way around that. But at least it's not going to make us sick. Our waitperson was absent quite often. From the moment we got our menus, the waitperson showed up close to 20 minutes later. You've got 90 minutes all together from the time you're sat. Each time we placed an order except for two times, we had to stop our waitperson from trying to run by our table without checking in. They checked in on us twice in that entire time on their own. They were very absent and our "90 minutes" went by so fast, because truly, we didn't get 90 minutes to enjoy ourselves. They seemed super fast to drop off our check, though! The Japchae noodles were tough. They aren't supposed to be tough. The food was fresh, we didn't get sick, and the ambient temperature wasn't too hot or too cold. I also like the condiment/banchan bar so you can customize your sauces and help yourself to all the pickled veggies, like kimchi. They also have fresh fruit available. So we all decided to add on the AYCE KBBQ for an additional $5. I probably would not do that in the future. The only protein option I liked was the shrimp. I didn't care for the marinated meats. The cheese corn was good, but served in individual small tin cups that you need to throw on the grill. Overall, I'd say just go for the hot pot. I liked how the tables were spacious enough for our group of 6. We were celebrating my bday, so at the beginning, the server brought over a little wheel for me to spin for a free drink. I got a free soda. We ordered a bottle of Soju and had them flavor it with peach and mango. It was tasty and enough for all of us to share a few shots. The restaurant was clean and had a nice vibe. It wasn't chaotic or crowded like other AYCE restaurants. There is a time limit, but the staff didn't sweat us about it (probably not too crowded at the time), so that was appreciated. It was a bit too much food for two adults and two kids (6yo, 3yo) but we packed it in! My only recommendation would be to figure out how to keep the sauce station tidier: lots of mixing from the rear containers to the front containers (i did not have any issues but i could imagine others being put off). They also had cherries, cantaloupe, and watermelon, along with some cookies. Total was a little over $75. For such good meats, etc., this felt like a real bargain. Walls of wine bottles decorate the restaurant, as well as a gigantic television (120 in?!) framed by four smaller mounted TVs. The bar looked like a nice place to hang out but it was clear people were here for the food. We decided to only partake in the hotpot experience - might be too overwhelming to do both hotpot and KBBQ for our first go-around. Overall, it was a good experience. We got to try a lot of different veggies and meats from the conveyor belt. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety. I think the price is good and reflective of what you receive. Personally, I'm still a fan of Heat Shabu on Broadway. I did like that appetizers, sauces, and desserts were on the side so people can just get what they want and the quantity they want. For those of you who love Asian hot pot, this is the place for you. They have a great selection of meats for hotpot that you order from the table but they also have all kinds of yummy accompaniments that constantly circulate on a conveyor belt. Just grab what tickles your fancy. It is cheaper to just do hot pot but you have the option of paying extra and be able to cook in a hot pot and also cook on the BBQ grille. There is a sauce and condiment station that has plenty of different sauces and seasonings to come up with your own dipping sauce. They also have Jap Chae, fish cakes, Kim Chee, and other accompaniments as well as cream puffs, orange slices, and cookies. There is a great variety of meats and other food items that are available to truly make this an awesome culinary hot pot experience. This is my first time at this location. It was amazing! We all got hotpot and BBQ. We had three toddlers there and staff were really friendly and understanding. First time at Sea Pot, and I really loved the ambiance! The high ceilings and spacious interior, combined with beautiful lighting and decorations, made the place feel bright and inviting. There are plenty of tables with the option for KBBQ, hot pot, or both. We chose hot pot for lunch at $21.99, with the KBBQ option available for an extra $5. Everyone gets their own pot, and I went with the Thai pot -- it wasn't exactly a traditional Tom Yum, but close enough and super flavorful. A conveyor belt next to our table delivered sides like veggies, fish, and meatballs, while meats had to be ordered through the server. You're limited to ordering three meats at a time, and they took a while to arrive. I'm not sure if that's intentional to slow down the pricier items, but we didn't mind since we kept grabbing sides from the belt to add to our broth. There's also a self-serve station for sauces and extras like Korean noodles, kimchi, and desserts. The dessert selection was a bit limited -- just éclairs, cookies, and fruit like orange slices and pineapple. I would've loved a few more options.
