Holly does an amazing job! My dip nails are always perfect and never crack or break. Pedicures are amazing too. Won't go anywhere else.

After coming to this nail salon for 3.5 years and driving 45 minutes, I have found a new salon. What made me decide to leave was when I came in to get my nails done, the new receptionist told me they were full and could only get me in at 4 pm. I completely understood since I didn't have an appointment. While being in town I took care of some errands and then came back for my scheduled appointment. This new receptionist told me to pick a color, literally took 15 seconds because I knew what I wanted. Went back to the front desk and she looked at me and said "oh sorry but we can't do your nails." I mentioned I had an appointment and she said she knew that but said they would not be able to see me. She was extremely rude in her tone of voice so I left. I called in wanting to speak with Nina and the receptionist would not let me speak with her. It was a huge disappointment when I would get a manicure done 2-3 times a month and 1 pedicure done each month. It was all handled very unprofessional. I spent a couple weeks looking for a nail salon and I now have one I love! It's a little more pricier but it's worth it when you don't feel like your being discriminated and you're being treated with respect. Reading responses from reviews I see that they do not care if they lose a good customer because that person will be replaced by someone else. How I wish I read these comments sooner because I would had left a long time ago. Great customer service and respect is important. There are many other places that will give that to you so no need to tolerate poor behavior. read more

Walked in here and it smelled like harsh chemicals. Had to leave. Was a strong chemical smell. It'd be nice if they greeted you and made that awful smell go away. I've never experienced this at another salon. read more

An update since I can't respond to the owner directly nor have I ever received a direct private contact from anyone. So, I'll break down my entire cost it here. The owner is claiming this is a "misleading review" because I mixed up the pricing or how things took place.. (guessing).. but I don't recall seeing him there (and again had not reached out to me) to ASK about my experience instead went straight to my review (I got no offer of assistance or did her get clarification from me, the consumer). In the end, I PAID $62 for MY pedicure! $57 for the pkg (you can go else where to get the same thing for less, where it could of course probably look better, and you don't have bad customer service or experience like I received yesterday) and $5 for the gel removal off my toes. I wanted my nails done and I kind of had an idea of how I wanted it done, but when I kept telling her what I wanted and all I kept hearing was "that's extra" "that's going to be extra" "that's extra, I'll see how much". So, of course I changed my mind at the point and just wanted my nails off to get them done somewhere else (my nail shop is in Glendale, but I was in the Scottsdale area for lunch), she had attitude about just removing my nails. Realizing the time and already being rushed by this person, SHE ASKED IF 'I WANTED COLOR ON MY NAIL'. I explained to her at that point I really wanted my nails done. She said "so, what do you want because it's already 5 and we close at 6, so what you want done" with an attitude might I add. I told her what I wanted at that point and asked if they had sugar for the nails. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and came up with how I wanted my nails. And this is where everything went downhill! When she was filing my nails and I wasn't paying much attention to her (because I figured I had nothing to worry about since my nails were decided on) and I was on my phone like most people when they get their nails done.. she said OK let's get up and move to her station from the pedi chair. I caught a glimpse of my nails as I was walking over, I sat down, I looked at it while she was filing my nails and I asked her if she could take them off (keep in mind it was only the tips on, not powder or anything) because I wanted them longer... SHE WAS PISSED (only two times I change my mind from just removing my nails all together so that I can get them done somewhere else and just asking her to take them off so I can get a longer length) (it was only one hand she filed at this point). She rolled her eyes when I spoke to her, tugging on my nails, she slammed things, and threw things in her drawer! So I told her, "it's OK if you don't want to do my nails, I can find someone else who wants to do them" The lady who did my toes was in the background laughing very loud after the girl doing my nails said whatever she said in her language (in a nasty tone) and the other girl who did my toes replied back (still laughing). SO ABSOLUTELY NEITHER OF THEM GOT ANY FORM OF GRATUITY, THAT MOST DEFINITELY WENT OUT THE WINDOW! You don't get to treat people poorly and then get rewarded. The lady from the front desk area came over, I cannot remember her name exactly I think it was Nina or Nia (sorry) was nicer than her and politely said, " yeah I think it would be best if you go somewhere else because we close at six". **I replied telling her "that's fine" and called other nail shops and found one close by the mall. Who provided the exceptional customer service and satisfaction that Grand nails couldn't provide to me. Now even though they didn't finish my nails until after 7pm (their closing time) they went above and beyond with smiles and great conversation and it's unfortunate that every nail shop can't be like the one I went to after leaving Grand.** In the end, I went to a different nail salon that put me in a much better mood, made me feel better, and did my nails exactly how I wanted for a great fraction of the price than Grand quoted me. I don't know if it was purely inexperience but I felt very uncomfortable immediately and had to make a decision to leave before it was finished. Nikki has been doing my nails for over a year now and they are perfect each and every time! The location of her shop is great and easy to find and access. By far one of the most beautiful nail shops I have ever entered. The entire staff will make you feel welcome and treat you like a Queen for the short time you are there. I made an appointment because of their sign for 20% off services for their grad opening and after my experience this is going to be my go to nail salon! I have a specific way I need my nails due to what I go to school for and my future profession. Tom was meticulous with my manicure and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. Rose did my pedicure and it was one if the best pedicures I've had. She made polite conversation while doing the pedicure and I personally like that and appreciated it. I got the $26 pedi and was very satisfied! In the future I'm looking forward to getting one of their more extensive pedi's! In my opinion their prices are competitive in comparison to other salons in the Scottsdale area. 45 minutes and still waiting for my daughter and her friends to get there pedicures. Their feet are soaking in cold water. Made the appointments on a Monday and walk into numerous people just getting started. What's the point of an appointment??? With one lady having two people - one doing her nails the other doing pedicure...not wise when you have people waiting for their appointment. They have guaranteed we will be out by 5. This place is one of the best nail salons around. I've been to a lot since moving to Arizona and this place is by far is the best by quality and by CLEANLINESS. Tons of nail salons are dirty and their equipment is unsanitary but this place uses brand new, out of the container, nail filers for each client's nails. Pros: Nikki is fantastic and pays attention to detail. The color range is great. Clean salon. Cons: Anytime I go, for some reason I always get the same, quiet guy. He's the younger one who wears brand tees. He's not friendly and I never love my nails when he does them. He needs to learn about customer service and better mannerisms to have, even when telling me to turn my hand to the side a certain way more comes off very rude. I have also referred 2 friends here to see if they'd get a better experience and they have all come back to me complaining how the staff is rude and makes judgemental comments. Well, I needed a pedicure and a full set and listen my nail is ingrown and yes I said is!! They did nothing but painted them they tell you 26 for regular pedicure but it's 20 more for gel!! $46 for Gel! My full set was $50 ok not bad but no design and regular nails!! Old school looking like my moms... wait!!! There's more when checking out the girl at the front said will you leave tip cash or credit? Like so it's mandatory she said it one more time louder and emphasized you had two guys working on you, how will you be leaving tip for them? I'm like wow never going back. This is hands down the best place in Scottsdale to get your nails done. I have gotten my nails done by three different nail techs here and all of them have done a PERFECT job. This salon is incredible. I love the new owners so much. I originally started going to the salon under previous ownership and enjoyed it then as well. Recently, a new owner took over and her kindness, experience, and skills are absolutely appreciated. She made the transition flawless and works hard to make sure everyone is happy. I tend to get really bad ingrown nails and the lady who did my toes was able to remove them and also put alcohol on the toe that was irritated, which I really appreciate.
