If possible I'd give NEGATIVE stars but sadly that's not an option. We took our dogs there for a "temperament test" for 3 hours. Our Lab, who definitely still has puppy brain, was excited and hyper. After 5 minutes of sniffing and greeting through a fence someone who we were told was the manager, said that our Lab was aggressive and had assumed a fighting stance. If they had spent the scheduled time, or even a quarter of it, I wouldn't be so irritated. But 5 minutes? Seriously?!?! To top it off some older women, one with bleached blonde/white hair - that I got some indication she may have been an owner but good grief I surely hope not - and her friend, decided to make comments "under their breath". Um hello people I'm less than 5 feet away from you. Did you really think I couldn't/wouldn't hear you? An incredibly disappointing experience! From the moment you walk in, it now has a very professional lobby... Very positive experience boarding our 17 year old cat. She had never been boarded before so we were nervous leaving her for a few days. The staff let me tour the facility beforehand to alleviate any concerns. From drop off to pick up they were kind and accommodating. Our cat was enjoying the view out the window when I picked her up and seemed disappointed to be leaving. The desk person on duty shared how she had spent time brushing and playing w/her and when I called to check in they gave great updates on how she was doing and shared pictures. I made a reservation for my dog to board over night! The woman I talked to when I made the reservation was very very sweet and helped me get him on the books no troubles. I was quoted 55$ for over night with drop off before noon, then 5 dollars for every hour past 12 the next day for pick up. Ok cool no problem! When I went to drop my dog off I was hit with "well you are here before noon so that's 15 dollars and then you are looking at another 15 dollars after noon and before 3:00 when you pick up plus the 55 for the over night stay" I was incredibly confused because that's what I was not told on the phone. The older gla with the white shirt hair and glasses said "well I thought our prices were stated clear on our website. Well I didn't look at the website I called and was quoted wrong drop off times and wrong prices. The old lady was so rude and short with me. I explained to the girl I talked to on the phone it was not her fault because she was training but I was extremely frustrated with the situation because that's an additional 30 bucks for over night. That's insane for over an overnight stay and shocking when you go to drop off your pet. 2 out of the 4 people I talked to in the whole situation were nice the other two were definitely not. From updates on what's going on with your fur baby to building connections that leave lasting love, making them excited to visit again. I know my Henny can't wait to see Naomi who is his absolute favorite. Told there was no charge for an "evaluation", then I was charged, even though they did NO evaluation. The story: I called on 1.03.23 and talked with a pleasant young woman and was told I could bring my labradoodle for a 4 hour evaluation the following day and that there was no charge. I arrived the next morning and was greeted by the same lovely person and was told the same thing. Then, I watched from behind the pillars and my dog was put in with the other dogs immediately with no assessment. I came back shortly to pick him up and an older woman with graying hair told me I owed $35 for the evaluation. I questioned it..was firmly told evaluations cost $35. I paid. But, I won't return. They could have gotten a regular customer and a sweet doodle. But, just as well, the big dog area was "staffed" by a young man who sat around with his back to the dogs. read more

This is the only place we take our boys. In the past before we found this place our dogs were terrified of going to get boarded or groomed. We had awful experiences at places like PetSmart. Since we started coming here in 2018 our dogs get excited to get groomed. They will not let anyone else give them baths even us only the wonderful groomer here. read more

Completely unprofessional. Dishonest. We have an aggressive (with other dogs) rescue dog and we needed to board her for a Christmas trip. We made 2 separate advance trips to this facility, got the tour (twice), were told they could handle aggressive dogs and keep them separate, we saw signs on pens for some aggressive dogs ( also mentioned in their web site) , we filled out our paperwork, sent in vaccination records, and gave a $100 nonrefundable deposit. We also agreed to bring the dog for an initial 4 hour short stay, and then later an overnight, to get her acclimated to the place before a long stay. On the day of the first 4- hour visit the staff was completely different from the people we met with on the earlier tours. A new person was outside and immediately asked "Is she aggressive?" and when I said 'Yes - with other dogs" the person announced, "They are not taking those dogs anymore. " I went inside and tried to explain that we had been there 2 days earlier and made all of the arrangements, and I was told "its a new policy" - we are not taking aggressive dogs". I asked "why wasn't I told that?" and they said "It's a new policy - we had an accident this week". I then asked "why didn't you call me? I had an appointment for today" and the answer was, "well we should have". I asked for the name of the owner - they refused to give it to me, saying "we can't give out that information" ( although the give out cards with her name on it and it's on the website). I asked about my $100 deposit and they said, "oh, well you will get that back - but not sure when or how" When my wife called to complain she was treated rudely and the person falsely claimed "we couldn't get near the dog to do an assessment". That just wasn't true - nobody asked to to spend any time with the dog and no professional would do an "assessment" of an animal in a lobby with people walking in and out. The place is completely unprofessional, they don't communicate with each other, you can't assume that the staff you meet are the people who will care for you pet, they take your money and keep it, and lie about what happened. I can't thank Grand Pet Hotel enough for their help and hospitality with my 3 dogs: Cinderella, Prince Charming, and Gus Gus. I had never before boarded my dogs, but the unfortunate passing of my wife put me in a position to not only need to find help, but to also blindly trust someone with my dogs. I was, as everyone would be, quite nervous and skeptical when I first boarded my dogs with them. Over time, my trust and comfort with Grand Pet Hotel couldn't be any higher. If I could give you a zero star I would. Never, ever, ever again! Were charged fees we were not informed of. They injured one of my two dogs by picking him up and dropping him. They told us they called us twice and no one answered but no call information was on either cell phone. Talked with them prior to leaving and gave them a note for feeding etc. and when we picked them up four days later there was still eight meals in the bag we brought. On top of that all the treats we gave them for our dogs were still in the bag? I wish I could go off and really vent but... all I can say is I would never ever recommend this shit hole for any pet I care about! read more

I understand why they kicked our dog bruno out but what upsets us is the fact after dropping him off this past weekend they told me he had a similar incident before on the weekend of October 10th. If that was the case why did you people lie to my face saying he did really good that weekend when I went to pick him up? Why the dishonesty? Also are you kidding me? Why would you also tell me that you guys were going to have him interact with other dogs again after you told me what he did over the phone? I don't recommend this place at all read more

I have to say I am very impressed with this facility. We are new to the area and we're looking for a place to board our dog Bear when we have to go out of town. He is a rescue dog and very shy. We stopped in to check it out without notice. The staff was so friendly and showed us around. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the facility as well as the accommodations. We brought Bear in for an evaluation to make sure he got along with the staff and other dogs. He really liked it. We like that there is someone there at all times and we were able to pick him up after normal hours for a very reasonable fee. Definitely treats the dogs in their care as if they are on vacation; allowing recreation and socializing with other guests in play area. Dogs seem to enjoy themselves and so do the staff; they clearly love dogs. The customer service received by Andrea was refreshing especially these days when poor service has become the norm. This is such a warm and loving place! Our dog Daisy jumps out of the car after I park and runs the whole way on the sidewalk to the Grand Pet Hotel. She is still a puppy and when she first arrived at the beginning of June she was timid. She was allowed to sniff around and be with one or two small dogs until she felt comfortable. By day three, her confidence grew. Daisy is a high energy breed and they have a little dog pool where she splashes and plays with her doggie pals. You can tell the staff loves dogs and the dogs love them. We also boarded Daisy for two nights and she did wonderful! I would highly recommend The Grand Pet Hotel. It's not a glam camp, but good old fashioned loving people. And if you are a working couple like us, you will have peace of mind. read more

Great place. My dog has gone there for years and they take wonderful care of her!

I went to pick up my Pomeranian dog after a 5 day visit. The attendant went to the boarding area to retrieve my little girl dog. This is when she discovered my dog had been bitten. She had no idea when my dog was bitten. I took my dog to this place so she could be cared for when I was out of town. She checked with the other staff members but no one knew when or how my dog was bit. I don't understand how this could happen, if the dogs are being attended to. My dog had to cry out when she was bit. Anyone who owns a dog, knows that loud squealing cry when a dog is wounded. So how could the attendant not know she was bit unless the dogs are left alone unattended to. I had to take my dog to the veterinarian and she was put on antibiotic and inflammation medicine. It has been 9 days since I picked her up and her little shoulder is still swollen. Veterinarian did say it would take a couple of weeks before it is completely healed. The owner of Grand Pet Hotel did reimburse me for the veterinarian bill. I think the owner should have given me some type of discount for the boarding. But she said no to the discount. If your thinking about taking your dog to Grand Pet Hotel, be aware that your dog is not being watched at all times when the dogs are in the play areas. read more

I came in for a tour of the place there was a awesome receptionist named Carolyn. That gave me a great tour and helped out a lot with everything I needed. Then (Owner) Dona came in super rude because a mistake was made and the dogs came running through the place but the dog handler and the receptionist jumped right on it and did their job perfectly. At the last minute I needed to find a place to board my Jack Russell/Boxer mix dog, Molly. I was able to get her into the Grand, but I had my fingers crossed. My last experience with a pet boarding place (now closed) was not good, and Molly herself had never been boarded. Once I saw the place, and had talked to a couple of employees, I felt much better. It is clear that the people here love what they do, and love animals even more. They have a nice outdoor area to play when the weather permits, and another play area inside. They are fed twice a day in bowls that are cleaned and sanitized after each feeding. They have little "suites" with a little cot, but I was able to bring Molly's bed and blanket so she had something familiar. I was even allowed to leave her dentastix that she gets after her dinner. Everything is clean and welcoming, there isn't even that overwhelming "smell" that some places have. Molly was excited to see us when we got back, but she made sure to go back and give some goodbye loves to the people working there! I will definitely use their service again if the need arises. read more
