They've been open long enough to smooth out some of the hiccups, but they're constantly out of ingredients, miss items that are standard on dishes, and every time we go we have a waitress that's brand new, so I'm guessing they have quite a bit of turnover. 3stars only because 2.5 is not an option. Went on a Tuesday night for dinner around 6pm. All the parking in downtown was taken. More than a slight inconvenience! Yet the restaurant to my surprise was empty. One table inside, two outside filled. We had been big fans of the original Ginappolis-but hadn't been back since their format change years ago. Ginappilos this place is not! We were greeted promptly and sat outside. It was pleasant. Order taken and food arrived quickly--although they were out of iced tea. Hubby ordered a cup of the smoked chicken soup and really liked it. We split a nacho to which we added pork . It was sort of disappointing. We asked for no onion on 1/2- due to food allergy. The green onions came on the side, but red onions were sprinkled throughout. The beans had a great flavor. The pork was heaped on top in huge chunks making it almost impossible to eat . It was also very dry. We asked for some barbecue sauce which helped a lot! There were some whole chips on top, but the chips underneath looked like someone had crushed them. Overall very messy, hard to eat, and without the BBQ sauce would have been awful! And it wasn't hot, The lunch menu might have some appeal with their soup sandwich combo. Might try it, but based on tonight I can see why the place was empty! Hubby liked more than I did. Oh, and they have paper straws they were not the instantly dissolving ones, but I hate paper straws! read more

we recently went to this establishment to celebrate the use of someone first use of his mug club membership which turned out to be a negative experience. I have reached out twice to this establishment on their site and have received no response. the service was EXTREMELY slow. The jagurrschnitzel ordered was dry which has been good in the past but we didn't complain. When the bill came there was a 3% service charge for using a credit card which was not posted anywhere. when we questioned the manager about it she stated "while it's just there and I can't do anything about iand other business like Brighton Bar and Grill have it." they do not. and when we removed the service charge before signing she got angry brought a 5 dollar bill over and slapped on the table stating this should cover it. we got up leaving through the back entrance where she was waiting and rudely stated"and this was all over 2 dollars and change I guess neither one of us handled it very well" when I quietly said you don't speak to a customer like that she screamed a me "get out get out now" all their customers turned and stared. this place just doesn't meet the quality of the other business in downtown area. read more

Tried this place out on Sunday evening 9/1/24. Attempted to order my first choice off the menu and was told they were out of brisket. Picked my second choice and was again told they were out. So, I ended up having to go with my third choice; however, the waiter left and came back shortly stating that they were out of that as well. I should have known better and just left at that point. That wasn't on our waiter but Justin Dalenberg. You've been around a while, so you should know the basics of supply and demand. My guess is that you're spread too thin at this point and have lackies managing who don't know what they're doing. Something to note - they also have an item permanently crossed off the menu too, but I'm unsure as to why. My fourth choice came out as a recommendation from the waiter, the tacos...eh, they were dripping in oil and not to my taste, but to each his own. It was available. My spouse's steak came out completely alone on the plate. Seriously...just the steak on the plate. Nothing else. Again, what is going on here? We had to ask the waiter for silverware. He then came out with the vegetables for my spouse, but she was still waiting on her fries which came out minutes later. Horrible back of the house management and again, Justin Dalenberg...you should look into this because my money is going to be on this location flopping. As it stands, plenty of other good restaurants in downtown Brighton. I won't be spending my money at this one ever again, and as a longtime resident, I'll be letting others know too not to go here either. read more

The servers are nice, the atmosphere is nice, the beer pours are ridiculous. How about filling the pint glasses tonthe top. EVERYTIME we come here, we get a crappy pour. It's always at least an inch below the top. It happened when they first opened, and it continues. When you're charging $6 or $7/beer, you should fill it up. Also, they have a HUGE fruit fly problem. We decided to try Grand River Brewery while downtown for the art fair. The restaurant was slightly more than half full. We sat and sat and sat, for at least 15 minutes. Meanwhile, the table next to us that was seated after us had been greeted, had water brought out and we're giving their drink order while we were ignored. My husband and I both have a restaurant background so we try to be understanding but it got ridiculous so we left and walked to Casa Tequila where we were treated as though we mattered. read more

It was returned and apologizes for this occurrence. A replacement was supplied hot as should of been originally. The beer I thought was a bit pricey but good. Went in with my 5 adults (one who is 80 and a bit disabled and 2 kids (11 months and 4.5yesrs)- waited 1.5 hours for our food. It was horrible trying to keep two kids occipied and it ended in lots of tears. For the meal, The ONLY special request I made was please cook the kids burger medium or medium rare because my 4.5 year old won't eat a well done burger. They cooked it to hockey puck consistency. Extremely tough. Worse - today I wanted to call but no posted phone number for the Brighton location yet on the website and no one answered on the number in their google ad. The service was horrible. We were literally the only people sitting at a table and only a couple people at the bar and it took us 40 minutes to get our food. They didn't come back to check for refills. When we first sat down, we had to get up and get our own utensils and napkins, and all the waitresses were constantly talking near the bar. The food was overpriced, my dinner salad was 14 dollars for a bowl of lettuce! One of our mac and cheese meals had grease in the entire meal. We left a low tip and the waitress Malorie came out of the restaurant after us and yelled thanks for the tip and have a great day real sarcastic! If you want a good tip, then you do a good job!!!! Everything was ok. We got the wings and BBQ nachos with brisket. The wings were decent, they were not fatty which was good. The nachos were kind of dry, there was barely any cheese and the meat had very little flavor to it. We also did not receive any appetizer plates for our food when we were sharing. Gave them a try and they have a long way to go yet. Three out of our nine orders had to be sent back because they were wrong and this was after waiting an hour after ordering. Only one in our group was happy with their meal, the rest said it was okay and didn't want to send it back as it had taken so long already. love coming here in the evenings for a drink or two and quick dinner. always sit at the bar, haven't had a bad bartender yet! Abby is great. Noah was a wonderful server as well when we sat in the dining section. Excellent deals if you join the mug club (I think it has more than paid for itself already since we got it in October - the half off on Mondays and the half off pours on Thursdays keep us coming back.. plus the pour sizes for the mug club mugs are massive) . they also have a delicious whiskey slushy right now that has my heart. my boyfriend sticks with the Old Rocker amber ale and usually gets the firecracker burger. I prefer the bloody bandingo IPA (and lately, the whiskey slush) and tend to hop around the menu for food- the smoked chicken salad sandwich was amazing, I also like the apple cheddar salad. my only disappointment thus far were the chicken tenders, but im a chicken tender snob.. they were newly added to the menu so maybe ill give them another shot (: overall, a nice new place the my boyfriend and I enjoy going to watch some football at the bar and feel like "regulars" read more
