Cara has changed my world - she is the BEST kept secret for the lived in blondes of Denver and arguably the best stylist I have been to in Denver ( I have been to a few!). I am also a picky person and do not give reviews lightly. Her painted highlight technique/root melt, the head massage, her dog Cherry Pie, and the fact that I went 4 months without a touch up because my highlights turned into a blurred balayage (at other places would easily pay $350 for) are one of the MANY reasons I recommend this salon to friends and will always go back to Cara. For a partial, root melt/tone the total was $215 and you can add a gloss to truly make your hair shine. The last time I went I also got a complimentary hand massage from Tara who is an absolute doll! Tara's energy is amazing and just having 10 minutes with her, my heart and my hands felt so much better!! Pro tip: She is booked a few months out so I HIGHLY recommend getting on her books sooner rather than later. I've seen Cara twice now for color services and left very happy each visit. She's laid back, friendly, easy to talk to and takes time to learn about your hair goals. Grand Salon is awesome - I love the atmosphere, polite and responsive front desk staff, fully updated equipment, and incredibly talented hair stylists/aestheticians/nurses in the medspa! Stephanie Jordan is the first out of a dozen stylists in 2 years that has done my hair the way I like it! She is a master colorist and has a great eye for knowing exactly how to make you look your best. Stephanie nailed my color (I am very specific about my blonde hair - I like it near platinum with natural roots with a cool to neutral tone). She also gave me the most stylish haircut of my life and taught me how to style at home in under 10 minutes! Her prices are very reasonable and she is extremely professional, thoughtful and friendly. Bay Nemekhsuren did such an awesome job on my eyebrow wax! Best ever. She was careful not to make them too thin - this is often an issue with other aestheticians I've seen. Astrid Valles RN carefully listened to my skincare needs and goals and did a wonderful job on my Botox injection (with less units than I typically get!). I have been coming here for almost 3 years. I've gone to various people and my hair has consistently come out wonderful. I have been sticking with Bay for over a year and she's excellent. All stylists are great with cut AND color. I see all walks of life in here and the vibe is great. They must have cool managers/ owners because everyone seems happy and laid back. It's a big open and beautiful space wit art everywhere. And it's not overpriced. They added a Med spa and I usually try to add a $50 quick laser hair removal service to my hair service. Oh! Being newbie and moving from Florida 6 months ago, I was super nervous to get my hair done by someone else as I have been getting my hair done by the same hair stylist for the past 8 years. My stylist from Florida recommended that I schedule an appointment with Corey. I was greeted, welcomed, and offered beer/wine which made me feel relaxed and at ease. The past two times I have been here my appointments started on time and Corey has done such an amazing job! I told him what I wanted and he has done exactly that and more. I got a half balayage highlights and cut, came out perfect! The experience has always been positive and I really look forward coming here to get pampered, have great conversation, and looking/feeling fabulous when I leave! I also used the free deep conditioning treatment when I came in which left my hair feeling soft and moisturized, I highly recommend the Kevin Murphy treatment. When I arrived they offered me a beverage, gave me a new client goody bag of coupons for my next visit and for hair care products as well as a cute little chapstick. I got my hair cut with Ashley who was fantastic and so knowledgeable! I wanted long layers with money piece/curtain bang type of look in the front and she was able to cut and style it exactly how I imagined! She also gave me great advice and samples for my hair to survive in my new dry climate and suggested I try a toning rinse to tone the brassiness out of my hair as well as give it shine and it made my hair look amazing! My relationship with LEAH is the longest and best I've ever had. I mean that in all seriousness. If you have a head full of thick, wild, sort of kinky curls--you've more than likely developed trust issues with all of the inept people who have laid hands upon your vivacious curls. Well, LEAH colors, highlights, and cuts my hair a-la-Ouidad style. She is great about listening to what you want, but also giving you an experts advice. One time I wanted to go really light with my hair color and she said it wouldn't be a good idea because it wouldn't maintain "the integrity of my curl." Consequentially, my hair always looks amazing and I can refer all of my friends/random strangers who come up to me at bars. April is one of the most talented colorists and cutter of curly hair that I have met! She is not only awesome, but has done wonders with my super curly hair. We went through golden and now ash highlights, her suggestion, which I LOVE and she is trained in cutting curly hair with the Ouidad method. She is also great to work with, one time the shape was a little off, and she fixed it no problem! If your trying a new stylist in Denver, I HIGHLY recommend April. She is wildly skilled. I really enjoy Grand Salon for the myrid of services they offer. I first came for a haircut and was extremely satisfied. Granted my hair is pin straight and I got a trim, but I have no complains. I then came for a few facials, at first I was wary because the hair portion of their facility seemed much better. Oh boy, was I wrong! They do amazing facials! I didn't know exactly which type I needed for my skin so discussed it with the technician when I got there and she made suggestions leading to us working out a plan. And my skin felt great afterwards! She even gave me some free samples to try on my skin to maintain it feeling so great. Based on my wonderful experience, I set up a facial for a friend and asked that they confirm and bill it to me. This was absolutely seamless and created no problems. She just went, enjoyed her relaxing facial and left. The front desk didn't make her wait there until they spoke to me or even bother her with the payment information. I took care of it all later that afternoon. It was a perfect gift and I will absolutely use them again to truly give someone a relaxing spa experience. So often, I feel as if you are relaxed and have a wonderful appointment and then the checkout process if difficult or contains hiccups....at Grand Salon there were none.
