As a brown Asian customer who came to support an Asian-owned business, this treatment was hurtful. Being ignored while customers before and after me were greeted and served, then being told an earlier closing time than what was posted, made me feel singled out because of my race. I can't know the employee's intentions, but the difference in how we were treated was impossible to ignore.
