Nice spot in the corner of a Plantation plaza with plenty of parking. Went right at opening for a fresh slice. The service coordinator, Trish, was very friendly while I waited the five minutes for the slice to cook in the double tier pizza oven. The chef removed the slice and my eyes lit up as piping hot cheese slowly dripped over the sides. It was a cool day so I took a seat in the outside patio under a big umbrella shade. The first bite provided a perfect crunch and the garlic sauce was delightful. For a traditional pizzeria, it was elegantly designed inside boasting black and red decor with gray stone accents. Additionally, there was a nice beer bar with barista offerings. The oversized fresh brownies at the front counter for $4.25 was a nice tempting touch. The bathroom was proudly clean with simple decor. Will return soon for a full pizza. read more

When offered water, we said yes. When we asked about the soda that comes with the lunch special we got an annoyed response from the waiter- he said we should have said so earlier. In addition, one of my friends found a piece of paper, maybe parchment paper, in her food. When she brought it to the waiter's attention, he didn't say anything and took her food and napkin. Prior to him taking it she showed him the piece of paper. He did not offer an apology or anything. When asked for the manager we had to wait. She offered another dish and that was all. read more

So, usually I love this place, but today, I ordered the eggplant parm and it was inedible. The eggplant itself tasted almost like soggy cardboard which is insane because I often order only eggplant parm. Also, I got takeout and ordered a side ranch ($1.50) and they gave me a blue cheese. Went in with my wife, daughter and Son-in-Law. I ordered a 6" Italian sub. It came with 2 thinly slices of meat. I complained to the waitress who spoke to the manager and was told "that's the way we make it." The manger did not come over to the table. Upon leaving the restaurant I spoke to the manage who was very rude and again said "that's the way we make it." I told her that we came there once a month and would not be back. She did not care. Finally checked out this lil pizzeria in the neighborhood. The place looks pretty small from outside but quite spacious inside. They do have happy hours but mostly for drinks. The sever was very attentive which I appreciate very much. I favorite out of everything we ordered is the calamari- fried to perfection along with some yellow peppers to cut the greasiness. Having just moved into Plantation, I was pleasantly surprised by finding this GEM! Ordering was a breeze. We ordered a large Calzone with mushroom and onions which was fresh and gigantic,and order of honey garlic mild wings, perfectly cooked and a delicious Veal Parm Sub! To all those replanted from Long Island, New York, remember the fabulous meals from Villa Rosa in Freeport? This unassuming restaurant is even better!!! Their chicken parmesan is fabulous! My husband ordered Chicken Siciliano which was unbelievably delicious, and I had my all time favorite, Veal Francese. This dish usually sets the bar for me. It was fantastic!!!!! The pasta is made in house. The sauce is just marvelous! Portions are huge. We always have a second meal to bring home. Don't let the looks of a strip-mall pizza place fool you. I have been ordering pizza from grande pizza in sunrise for over a year .Today I ordered over the phone for pick up. When my son went in to pick up the food, he tried paying with a 100 dollar bill. I'm not a frequent reviewer on Yelp but when I really feel the need to, I will write a review. I occasionally order a pizza from Grande because I find it to be pretty good pizza in the neighborhood along with Poppy's Pizza in Sunrise. Grande's pizza crust is cooked perfectly, the sauce is tasty, and its thin just like Long Island pizza. The restaurant inside looks clean, updated, and orderly. The menu is large and has quite a big selection of dinners, salads, appetizers, heros, and pizza. The prices are very high. As good as their pizza is, there is just one thing that provokes me to give Grande only 3 stars. Their customer service is absolutely atrocious. Sometimes they get my simple orders wrong or mixed up with others, or cant find the order. The one woman at the counter with the dark hair is the most abrupt, insulting, unfriendly, impolite hostess I ever encountered. She never greets you, never acknowledges you, never apologizes, and never thanks you. Why??? If it wasn't for the crabby, petulant hostess I would give more stars and more business. I'm also wondering why the owners / managers don't read or respond to the reviews. Thank you read more

Cutting to the chase here- the pizza is fantastic! I came in with my toddler and grandma on Good Friday and we ordered a regular cheese pizza. The dough is thin and crispy- very NY style: it is not chewy at all. The sauce was not too acidic or sweet. The cheese was really decadent. There are some pizza chain restaurants that are quite cheap on the quality of ingredients and that isn't the case here at Grande. I did find the wine to be expensive and the service a little slow. That being said I would definitely come to Grande the next time I craving some pizza. I am a total pizza snob and this one definitely measures up! read more

The pizza was delicious. We got a small cheese with extra cheese. The place was very clean. The bathroom was the only picture that I took. Lol. I was so shocked I had to take it. The cashier was very friendly. She greeted us when we came in. They seemed very busy with phone orders and delivery. ONLY 3 STARS: We counted 4 tables in use. The waitress was standing away from us and said she would be right with us. 5 min later we were still waiting. She was NOT helping customers. She eventually got to us and left us menus. As she was walking away we had to tell her we wanted drinks. At least 5 more minutes later, still no drinks. We could see her doing something else but NOT with customers. She could have gotten the drinks and gave them right to us but that didn't happen. The cashier ended up asking if we needed help and took our order. After she left about 2 minutes later the drinks showed up. And away the waitress went again. Ok so we eventually got this delicious, hot pizza. After finishing our food and waiting, she never even came to refresh the drinks. We got up and went to cashier to pay and then the bill shows up. As she is walking away she says thanks for your patience (sarcasm). When I paid the cashier I tried to have her put the change in her tip cup but she said, no it's for her (the waitress). Lucky for her because the cashier I think earned that tip and a little more but not worth me going back into my wallet. I walked in after leaving a poor review 2-3 months ago online because of a pricing discrepancy. The French Canadien woman at the front register with Dark hair stopped me as I walked in, thinking I should give it another try with my gf and was immediately stopped and spoken to and said ! " I need to talk to you right now " ?? I've lived in Plantation my whole life and know in Large the community..! now we have this ??? I got embarrassed and harassed walking into a pizza place because, I posted a review that was accurate and thorough of a previous price discrepancy and how I was treated ... I'm completely ashamed that this person is employed by the Amico family and cannot go there anymore without getting harassed by a staff member because of how she tried to strong arm me into paying more in the store than online through Uber eats. A new friend of mine is from Philadelphia and loves Philly Cheesesteaks. I asked him where his favorite Philly was in South Florida and he recommended Direct from Philly up in Deerfield Beach. I didn't feel like driving all the way up there, so I asked him about a local joint and he steered me towards Grande's. Man, did he steer me right. He ended up coming with me and we both got the 6" Philly and a slice of pizza. The philly came out piping hot. The steak was great and moist, the roll was crusty and soft, overall, great experience. The pizza was decent too. The sandwich was expensive, $10 for a 6" and I'm not sure what the pizza was. The sandwich came by itself. The draft sodas were $3 for your typical coke and root beer. I thought that was bit high too. They recently remodeled and the restaurant looked clean and crisp. The service was a bit lacking. It seemed like there was only one older gentleman doing everything. Our drinks were never refilled until we asked at the end of our meal and the food came out piecemeal. We wanted some ketchup with our subs and it came out last. I docked a star for service.
