Plain slice!
Adriana D.

I've been to this location a couple of times and fresh baked pizza is very good. Warmed up pizza that they have it on display I would not recommend nor the salads. Service is good and fast, even when they are busy. Ambiance is very casual. Nice patio area outside! Prices are fair and they have some offers over the week for whole pies.

What a hidden gem! Stromboli is hidden in the Fountains plaza but wow does it have a great menu! I called to pickup an order and decided to order the XL Cheese pizza special they have on Mondays and Tuesdays! They are super friendly and welcoming once I went to pick up my order too. The pizza was huge and delicious! I definitely will be ordering from them again soon. I also can't wait to try a few other things on their menu as well, especially their garlic rolls! If you are in the area and craving pizza I definitely recommend the pizza special on Monday and Tuesday! Even not on special, they have a great menu and prices that are definitely reasonable!

MONSTER PIZZA SLICE... Family owned long time pizzeria in Plantation next to Dick's Sporting Goods. The front of the store provided a quaint display with several bins of menus identifying specials and coupons. This reminded me of an old style lemonade stand, which implemented good value marketing with a fun inviting vibe. The interior ambiance was traditional Italian theme combined with fun wall art that was entertaining. Loved the big assorted topping pizzas proudly displayed at the front counter. The pizza chef instantly greeted me with a strong Italian accent. There were a few tables inside, although several outside covered patio tables are provided. The counter lady took my extensive order of one slice of cheese pizza and from other reviews the slices were enormous, so I was excited. The fresh slice was placed in front of me and was the size of both my hands - and I have huge hands. The $4.50 was well worth the size of this verified behemoth. The first bite did not disappoint, just the right amount of oil and a crispy cornicione with a thin dough undercarriage with a mid char. This slice easily passed the all important "Flop Test" (See Pic for Verification). The bathroom was clean with reddish orange tiled walls and flooring with an oddly present wooden baby chair. This pizzeria easily hit that strong 5 star rating. Will be a return customer to try one of their fresh cannolis and of course more pizza.

Cheese Slice

After a couple of visits where I indulged in their cheese slice, I was this close to giving Stromboli Pizza a solid 5-star rating. Let me tell you, their slice is no joke--it's huge. And the dough? Amazing. We're talking thin, crispy, perfectly done, with a solid undercarriage (a term only pizza nerds will appreciate). The cheese is spot on, and the sauce? Chef's kiss. It's slightly sweet but works beautifully. Honestly, it's the closest thing to New York-style pizza I've found in Florida. Then came the test: I ordered a whole pie. Now, to be fair, I took it home, so it wasn't fresh out of the oven, but the dough didn't quite hit the same notes. It wasn't as thin, which threw me off a bit, though it was still good. This had me scratching my head--are they inconsistent, or does the size of the pizza matter? Is the slice from an XL pie while the large is, well, less large? Clearly, these are the existential questions that keep me up at night. Regardless, I'll definitely be back. This place is too good to write off, and I'm rooting for my next visit to be a 5-star experience. The service here is fantastic--friendly smiles all around and genuinely great vibes. It's a small spot in a plaza, so parking is a breeze. Bonus points for the Tesla Supercharger nearby--because nothing pairs better with pizza than topping off your EV. For context: a slice will set you back around $5, but it's basically a quarter of a pie. A full large pie runs about $20. Pretty solid pricing for the quality and portion size. Stromboli Pizza has earned a spot on my regular rotation, and I can't wait to see if they can slice their way to perfection next time!

Freshly filled cannoli

Stromboli's is our go to place after we have our hair done at Salon Z since it is a short walk around the corner. It is a true pizzeria that is reminiscent of NY. They have a selection of pies on display as well as sandwiches and cannoli shells ready to be filled. We typically have pizza and my daughter and I don't eat meat so they will put pepperoni on 2 of the slices for my husband instead of him having to order separate slices. I am not sure why I don't have more photos as we have been here several times. We have eaten inside and outside and each time we have had amazing & friendly service and the food is always delicious. We had calamari the last time we were there and it was AMAZING! Lightly breaded and very tender. My daughter was a little disappointed there were no tentacles but I was happy it was all rings. We also were given a sample of bruschetta and it was fresh and delicious. All in all the pizza is good. The variety of toppings and slices is awesome. They have a lasagna pie my husband said he wanted to try and and they have individual slices available all day too!

Large Cheese Pizza

This was a very disappointing experience. I ordered a Greek salad and that was ok. I didn't care for the dressing too much but at least the vegetables were fresh. Of course, the main part of the meal should have been the pizza. This pizza lacked flavor. The sauce was very bland. Neither of us enjoyed it much. I ordered a fountain soda drink. This did not taste right so I ordered the Coke in a bottle. The garlic rolls did not have too much garlic on them. The cheesecake was pretty good. It really is New York style. I also did not care for the atmosphere. It was unappealing and not real pleasant to eat in. Our server was nice. There are several restaurants in the area that have pizza I like better.

the food in this place is really good and the inky reason why it doesn't get 5 stars is because is like a cafeteria or new york pizza place. ordered calzone with meatballs and Beacon small size and it was really big, enough to share. the chicken alfredo was super tasty and not overwhelming. service was super good and the lady that helped was extremely friendly and helpful. parking is easy as it is located inside a large plaza

I had such a great experience here tonight. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish…read more We started with the calamari, which was cooked perfectly--light, crispy, and not greasy at all. The garlic rolls were insane... honestly some of the best I've ever had. We shared a house salad, and it was huge--definitely big enough to split. Everything tasted super fresh, and the balsamic dressing was perfectly drizzled and flavorful without being overpowering. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken parmesan with angel hair pasta. I'm pretty picky about marinara sauce (and I'm Italian, so I hold places to a higher standard), but everything was completely on point. The flavors, the sauce, the portion--just really well done. What made the experience even better was the owner coming over to talk to us. She shared details about the food and the restaurant, which made it feel really personal and welcoming. They also host special wine tastings at the end of the month with a curated menu, which I definitely want to come back for. We didn't try the pizza this time, but I already know I'll be back. They offer thin crust and even a deep dish that you can order ahead (about an hour in advance), which sounds amazing. It's a smaller place, but it's cozy, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent. I'll definitely be back--and next time I'm saving room for dessert (if I can stop myself from eating all the garlic rolls again).

I like a lot more sauce and fillings besides the cheese. The crust wasn't flakey and crispy. I wouldn't get another deep dish from them personally. But there was another couple there who was loving it ! The waitress was very attentive. The beer was cold. The French onion soup was pretty good as well! Would have liked more onions though. Curious how other items are on the menu so I may come back.

Our server was pleasant, but once we had our food, he kind of disappeared. He took an especially long time when we were waiting for the check. As for the food, the best part of the meal was the bread. It was warm and delicious and our food runner/bus boy even gave us a fresh loaf to take home. My kids ordered plain pasta, which was fine ($7 each so not too bad). I had the chicken francese with pasta with marinara sauce. The francese sauce was too eggy and not nearly lemony enough. The marinara sauce was really more chunks of tomatoes than actual sauce. I will say the portion size was large. My husband ordered the salmon special with vegetables. The salmon was fine, but the veggies were hard and not at all seasoned. Overall, our experience was okay, but there are so many local Italian restaurants that I wouldn't come back to this one.

Large bay doors stay open, creating an inviting open-air atmosphere with plenty of fresh air and a relaxed vibe. Inside, every table has a view of the traditional wood-burning brick oven, along with multiple flat screens and music playing throughout the restaurant. One detail that stood out immediately was the visible service dog sign near the hostess stand. I was seated right away, and they even brought out a water bowl for my service dog without needing to ask. The server was knowledgeable about the menu, offered helpful recommendations, and confirmed they provide a 20% discount for military members and first responders on select meals, which is always appreciated. I shared a large Mona Lisa pizza topped with fresh basil, prosciutto, and thick slices of tomato. The thin crust came out perfectly crisp with just the right amount of char from the brick oven. Service was friendly overall, although it appeared the server may have been covering too many tables. Drink refills were missed, and it took a little while to close out the check. Even with that, the food, atmosphere, military-friendly discount, and service dog accommodations make this a place worth visiting for either lunch or dinner.

My lasagna came out in a beautiful Staub rectangular dish and was absolutely delectable! I can not wait to go back and order this again. My mom's chicken dish was also very, very good! I ordered a side of Brussel sprouts that were cooked to perfection. We were both so happy with our choices. My mom and I enjoyed a chocolate martini as well. I liked it so much the first night, I came back for lunch the next day. That says everything -- and…read morethe honest review lives in both visits. Louie Bossi's on Las Olas is exactly the kind of Italian restaurant that earns its reputation through the food and loses a half star through inconsistency in service. I visited twice in less than 24 hours -- Friday dinner and Saturday lunch -- both times without a reservation, both times solo at the bar. Fair warning upfront: book a reservation if you can. I knew the risk going in and own that entirely. Friday Night -- Dinner I was seated at the inside bar near the service window, which also happened to be adjacent to the bus station where dishes and silverware were being cleared and disposed of throughout the night. It was louder than the ambient restaurant noise you'd want for a solo dinner. Again -- a reservation would have solved this -- but it's worth noting that a table placement like that is a mild disservice to the overall atmosphere the restaurant works hard to create. That said, everything else Friday night was excellent. I ordered the Limoncello Spritz, which is exactly what it advertises -- bold, citrusy, and lively. In hindsight it wasn't the ideal pairing for Cacio e Pepe, but as a standalone cocktail it was genuinely well-made. The Cacio e Pepe, however, was the real story. House-made noodles, perfect texture, flawless seasoning -- rich without being heavy, simple without being boring. It was a 10 out of 10 pasta. My server Friday night was outstanding -- attentive, warm, and checked in on me multiple times without prompting even as a solo diner. That kind of awareness is what elevates a good meal into a memorable one. Saturday Afternoon -- Lunch The Cacio e Pepe pulled me back the very next day, and it delivered again. Twice in a row, same dish, same result -- that's a kitchen you can trust. The service, however, was a different story. I ordered an Amaretto Sour to start. It never came. My pasta arrived first, and only then did the bartender realize she had never made the drink. At that point I didn't really want it, but I drank it anyway. When I was nearly finished with my meal, I ordered an Amaretto on the rocks and asked to close my tab -- and again, the wait was significant. Guests who sat down after I requested the cocktail and bill had their drinks ordered and made first. By the time mine finally arrived, I was past the point of enjoying it and simply wanted pay the bill and head out. A stark contrast to the Friday experience, and genuinely disappointing at a restaurant operating at this level on one of South Florida's most prominent dining corridors. (Pictures attached from lunch) The Bottom Line Louie Bossi's is a must-visit on Las Olas -- the food is the real deal, the atmosphere has character and charm, and when the service is on, it's really on. But the bar experience at lunch exposed an inconsistency that's hard to ignore. The kitchen earns a 5 every time. The service earns a 5 one night and a 2 the next. Averaged out with everything else, this is a strong 4-star restaurant that has the ingredients to be a perfect 5 on the right night. Make a reservation, sit in the piazza if you can, and order the Cacio e Pepe without question. You'll be back. Meal type Dinner Price per person $60-70 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Reservation Reservations recommended Noise level Loud, but you can still talk Parking space Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options Paid parking lot, Paid street parking

I say the food is Italian style because I'm Italian American and I travel frequently to Italy. It is not Italian food but it is what Americans think is Italian and it is fine, good, tasty comfort food. I like supporting well run family owned restaurants. These folks work so hard and it's impossible to please everyone. The dining room was full on the night we were there and the ambiance is simple and a little rustic with the brick walls and beige tables. We started with the grilled octopus and the Italian rice balls stuffed with meat. I think we confused them as the rice balls come 2 to an order and there were three of us so we asked if we could buy an extra one. The first order came up with only 2 but instead of just leaving them and bringing another- they took the 2 away and then just brought one with out the other two. Clearly we screwed them up with our request. Eventually we ended up eating three but not at the same time. The octopus was delicious! For our entrees, I had the spaghetti alla vongole which was delicious and packed with clams. One of my dining companions had the lobster ravioli done spicy and and LOVED it as it came with shrimp on top and small tomatoes. My other dining companion had a special of the day which was a pumpkin ravioli. I think something got lost in the description of that item as he was expecting more of a fall dish but it came with a red sauce on it which he said was an odd combo. For dessert, I was stuffed, but one of my dining companions got the tiramisu for dessert which he said was quite good. All in all- the food was quite good, the drinks were well poured and we had plenty of food to take home for another night. Nice to have this local place in our neighborhood!
