On the weekend, we waited about 15 minutes for a table, which wasn't bad at all. During the weekday, we were seated immediately. The star of the meal is undoubtedly the famous crepe-style hotcakes. They're thin, buttery, lightly crisp around the edges, and absolutely to die for. Pair them with the Lyonnaise-style potatoes, and you've got one of the best brunch combinations around. The service was quick and friendly both times, our coffee cups never stayed empty thanks to the free refills, and the food came out surprisingly fast despite how busy it was. The decor has that classic all-American diner charm, simple, nostalgic, and full of character. If you're visiting Pittsburgh, Pamela's is absolutely worth adding to your brunch list. We'll definitely be back.

I ordered the avocado toast and it arrived quickly and looked awful. It tasted as awful as it looked. The avocados were old and bitter. I order this everywhere and there's usually some onions or tomatoes and lime juice mixed in. This was just old avocados. The server came by to check and I told her it was bad and to take it away. She never asked if I wanted something else or to try the toast again. The manager came by a little later asking if all was ok. Told him about the avocado and he was extremely interested in helping but I just didn't feel like eating anymore. They did take the toast off our check.

DeLuca's is exactly what I'm looking for in a diner! Old school place, seating was comfortable, and our waitress made us feel right at home! I went with the Steel City and that included everything! Pancakes (which our lovely waitress added complimentary bananas to), hot sausage, bacon, home fries, eggs, and Italian bread toast. Everything was cooked perfectly! Hot sausage and eggs made a perfect sandwich on that bread! My wife had a delicious omelette. Such a wonderful send off from Pittsburgh!

Among us we ordered the eggs benedict, biscuits and gravy, and their classic breakfast sandwich. Across the board it was all very tasty. The biscuits and gravy I think use a sweet or sausage that I'm used to, but it was still very good. One of the best things about the eggs benedict is that it didn't taste just like the sauce, which is common. Instead you got the full medley of flavors from the egg and all the fixings. We also got their classic Italian bread french toast which is so buttery by itself you really almost don't need syrup. Served by very friendly but very efficient waitresses. The only downside, which this restaurant can't really control, is that parking is a pain and is expensive. But that's just a nature of the way the Strip District has grown. We didn't have any other sandwiches but they look like they would be delicious and this would be a good place for a brunch or lunch as well.
