Everyone should support the local grocery store instead of Safeway because of how much rent is nowadays. They need a lot of business and that comes from you patrons. My neighbor always shops here instead of Safeway. Prices are fair with fresh produce (vegetables) and meats in the back (I think). Highly recommend checking out with my utmost respectful regards.

This was the center for the Chinese community for shopping, dining, and just overall life as non-English speaking residents found everything they needed. As the next generation moved to Richmond and Sunset District where single family homes trumped apartment and SRO living for the growing families. It helped that the community became more affluent which led to the evolution of "new" Chinatowns on both sides of the park. Clement Street in the Richmond and Irving in the Sunset became the main shopping streets there. I came across this store which sits a few doors from our fur baby's veterinary eye specialist. Driving from the east side of the city, I'd often get thirsty from the drive to and from, given the traffic these days especially on or around 19th Avenue. I walked in and saw the normal Chinese family grocery items of soy sauce and oyster sauce bottles, canned goods, various fresh vegetables, various refrigerated items which included a can of soy bean milk which I bought one for the road. There wasn't much else to choose from. As mentioned by other Yelpers, the variety is limited and it is run as an old-time place so don't expect the latest and greatest. It serves it's purpose as a bridge for your shopping trips to fill the fridge and the cupboard. *** I hope the Walgreens on the corner is replaced by something similar.

From herbs & spices, dried foods, olive oil, soaps, shampoos and more, they have everything. The prices are reasonable and there's less plastic waste. They also source locally which is nice. They also carry some gourmet food items like sambal from Azalina's, and locally made curry paste. I need to come here more often.

Firstly, it was my first time shopping at a co op and I really really really love that aspect of it. Anytime I can support a business like this, I want to! But beyond that, I was skeptical that the prices would be outrageous and was fairly surprised that they really weren't! Ok sure, some items were pricey, and that's true for any small store in this city, but for the bulk items and dry goods, the pricing was incredibly reasonable! I even found the same scones I buy at my local box box grocery store for cheaper here!! What?! I was also just blown away by the variety of choices.. they've got everything here.. produce, condiments, dry goods, chips, snacks, bulk items, tea, medicines and supplements, and a section of boutique handmade goods that was so awesome to look through!! I don't live close by but I will be back anytime I go to see my friend (which is often).
