Tiny, cute coffee shop in Camino. They have pastry & hold or cold drinks. The white mocha was good. Clean bathroom . Cute comfy area to sit on couches or at tables. Service was friendly.

-- The Coziest Coffee Spot in Town! Camino Coffee Mill is hands-down my favorite place for coffee! The atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming -- it's the kind of spot where you can instantly relax the moment you walk in. The baristas are incredibly kind and always make you feel right at home. You can tell they truly care about their craft because every drink tastes amazing -- smooth, rich, and made with love. Whether I'm catching up with friends, getting some work done, or just enjoying a quiet moment, Camino Coffee Mill always hits the spot. A true hidden gem and a must-visit for any coffee lover!

Wow wow wow! Just incredible. Not sure I have been to a more pleasant coffee shop in my life. Perfect air quality, incredible people, wonderfully furnished and best of all easy to get to with nice parking spaces! Oh by the way, the best vanilla latte I have had this side of the Mississippi. Wow

First off, the coffee is great. They get their beans from a local roaster in Tahoe. They have food like pastries, breakfast burritos, empanadas, bagels, etc that delicious! On top of that, it's a local business who supports other local businesses and everyone who works here is super nice. On top of THAT, it has a clean but cozy vibe with plenty of seating, a fireplace, and a couch. Go support a great local business. Pro tip: there's parking in the back too!

Found this quaint local coffee house, just off Highway 50, in the Apple Hill area of Camino, CA. Had a really good almond milk latte and enjoyed their outdoor seating area. The staff was very welcoming and helpful - and knowledgeable about the area. Stop in on your way to S Lake Tahoe!!

This entrance has a small parking lot. For better parking drive around to the side facing the freeway

We arrived and while the place was busy, we were seated right away at a table of our choosing. We both went back and forth about what to order, so many things sounded good. My husband opted for their classic egg Benny and I did a two egg (over easy) breakfast with a burger patty, country potatoes, and sourdough toast. Eggs with a burger patty is a breakfast I eat very often and I love it- kind of like a poor man's version of steak and eggs. Food arrived in an acceptable amount of time. Hubby's eggs Benedict looked great. As soon as they set my plate down, I knew I'd made a mistake. That burger patty was clearly a pre-made frozen one and just looked so sad. I barely managed a few bites of it. Absolutely no flavor or seasoning, still tasted awful after I heavily salted and peppered it myself. The meat was like pure mush. Worst excuse for a burger patty I've ever had. It honestly kind of turned my appetite a bit. Thankfully my eggs were cooked very well and the toast was good. Potatoes were decent, though a bit on the cold side when they arrived. My husband seemed to enjoy his meal but said the hollandaise was a tad watery. Giving this place 3 stars because the service was really nice. I have a feeling a lot of the other things on their menu would be great. But lord, that burger was absolutely pitiful.

Yay! Our new favorite lunch place on Main Street!…read more We just stopped by last weekend, we've been wanting to try this place out but it just hadn't happened.... Last Monday we decided to have lunch there, one of our regular places is closed Mondays and this place was open so we checked it out...and we're SO SO glad we did! Atmosphere was nice and server was very friendly from the moment we walked in. First thing I noticed; $5 mimosas!! I asked if they did anything other than orange juice and yes, they had several other options so I had the cranberry version. Delicious! I went with their mac and cheese, my partner got the basic hamburger. Mac and Cheese -- definitely very bacon forward, much more than I prefer. That being said, I still liked it, it also had sour cream and green onion on top. Bacon lovers will LOOOVE this version, there is LOTS of it and every bite you can taste it. Normally I prefer my mac & cheese with no bacon or just a bit here and there, I prefer to taste more of the cheeses.....again, it still tasted good, its a good serving and I ate half and had enough to save for the next day at work. Creamy and well made, again I just prefer to taste more cheese than bacon. I wouldn't order this again but like I said, a bacon lover will LOVE this version. Now, my partner's burger was Incredible. We are PICKY with our burgers, and we both thought this one was fantastic. Big, and great ratio to the bun. He ordered it medium and asked for "a little char" and they made it perfectly. I took a bite and yeah, I'd order that for sure. The fries were great, too. Overall we were super happy with our lunch, I thought it was priced fairly as well. We will definitely be back!!

I'll give 2* because the food (when it came) was great…read more We've been to Franny's a couple times before and had O.K. service and good food. The pitfalls of the restaurant seem to be entirely the service. Most recently we went to Franny's on Mother's Day. We had reservations and walked in, on time. We were initially sat in a nice booth in the front of the restaurant. It was my wife and I plus our 2 kids, the table size seemed appropriate. After being sat, we sat without talking to a server for 10+ minutes, not even getting waters. Eventually, when someone did come, it was a waitress/hostess telling us that there had been a mix up, and we needed to move. We weren't excited on the idea, as we were happy where we were, but we moved to the back of the restaurant. This time we sat for 15 minutes without being acknowledged by any wait staff. At this point it is 9:25 and we've been seated for 25 minutes without even water. Finally a waitress comes, and takes our drink order, and our food order as we'd definitely had ample time to look over the menu. About 9:50 the food arrives. My wife and kids' food comes and is great. My food comes and looks off, and the waitress tells me that the kitchen accidentally made me a "veggie" scramble instead of the chorizo that I had ordered, but that she'd get me some bacon and all was well. I asked what was in the veggie scramble and was told it has mushrooms, which is a hard pass for me. She told me she could have what I had actually ordered made but it would "take a long time". I said O.K. - what else was I going to do? Finally it comes, and my wife is done eating, and the kids are close, so, I asked for it to be "boxed up". The waitress rolled her eyes and set to the task. I'm not a restaurant snob - but I really expected an apology or something to be "comp'd" due to the rough experience, but nope, full bill and no apology. Regrettably, despite Franny's being a local joint and having good food, we won't be back.

The three of us ordered the "rib eye" chicken fried steak senior lunch meal with mashed potatoes and salad. The only thing good was the salad and our drink order. The steak was tough, rubbery & had too much gristle for my MNL to even finish eating it. I asked for gravy on the side and my lunch arrived with gravy smothered on everything; so it went back. When the server was told the lunch was actually disgusting, she didn't apologize for the cooks not doing their job nor asked if we wanted to speak to the manager. When my husband went to pay the check, the manager was doing the cash register and my husband conveyed to him that the food (except for the salad) was not up to par and we wouldn't be back. That manager couldn't care less...didn't offer a discount on the ticket nor to comp the meals for something else to redeem themselves for a return visit! Save a trip and go directly to Mel's Diner across the street for a much better food experience and server cheerfulness. Afterwards, we went to McD's for an ice cream cone to cleanse our palates and got something else for dinner. If I could give a zero rating, I would!!! Very disappointing!!!

For those of you looking for that caffeine fix and wish to venture out of the Sacramento area,…read more"Love Birds Coffee & Tea Co." will have you covered. Ever since their opening back in 2016, this has been a wildly popular spot to enjoy inside or on-the-go with their convenient drive-thru. Located right next to a Quik Stop gas station and a Subway, this place is conveniently at the corner of Diamond Rd (Highway 49) and Pleasant Valley Rd in the small community of Diamond Springs. I also wanted to mention that they have very generous hours of operation being opened Monday through Saturday from 5:30am to 4:30pm while being closed on Sunday. I ended up coming here during the afternoon of Saturday 6/15/2024 at around 2:15pm. Since this was well past the morning rush, there were no other customers inside and not a single vehicle parked directly outside. As far as the exterior layout, it uses freestanding rocks which gives it a castle-like appearance. The interior though is very impressive as they've utilized the walls with floral-type balconies, a large painting with more floral arrangements surrounding it, and vintage furniture which has a very nostalgic look as if you've stepped back in time. I also wanted to point out that there is a spacious outdoor sitting area for the most comfortable days. First and foremost, the menu here is quite impressive with a huge selection of coffees, espressos, teas, quenchers, blended drinks, and smoothies. They also carry a nice assortment of breakfast sandwiches, bagels, burritos, croissants, and crepes. And for the lunch crowd, they even offer pizza, pasta, soup, and traditional sandwiches. I ended up ordering a slice of their pepperoni pizza with a small mango smoothie while my significant other went with a bacon, egg, & cheddar bagel with an iced Americano. Our drinks were ready within a couple minutes while our food came shortly thereafter. I will say that the mango smoothie was delicious as it was refreshing without being too overbearingly sweet. However, the pizza was just okay for me as it was a bit on the soggy side and not too crisp. Same goes with the bagel as there were more small clumps of bacon (instead of full-cut bacon). And the eggs, they resembled more of a processed scramble egg with a perfectly cut square; I have a feeling it might be frozen and heated to save time. However, the bagel was good and had nice texture to it. Still at $10 for the breakfast bagel, this was a bit on the pricier side. All in all, "Love Birds Coffee & Tea Co." is a decent place that has a lot of character and charm to it. The young staff working here were very kind, courteous, and accommodating while the ambiance is definitely a home run in my book. I'd stick with the coffee as this is their strong point. But for a stop before work or even if you're heading to Tahoe or the foothills, this is a decent above average business. My rating, four stars.

Making sure that issues are handled. The restaurant was busy and the drinks took about 20 minutes to come out. When we ordered we were informed that the prime rib special was sold out. Ok. I get it. So the $66 dollar Rib Eye over the $51 Prime Rib. But then the steaks came out. The others in our group got perfectly cooked rib eyes that were 40-60% cap. They were cooked perfectly to temp. My steak was much smaller, thicker, and entirely lacked the cap. So it was just a NY Strip. The temperature was way over. I was never asked if the dish was ok. Our server was busy and never returned to check on us. The busser came by and asked very quickly if everything was "still" ok. We ate our meal while it was still warm. The busser returned and started to clear the plates, including taking a side dish before we were done with it. When I informed the server of my issue he didn't seem to agree with me. He claimed he came and asked us. Later the manager came and told me he took 20% off the steak. $52 for an overcooked 14 oz NY Steak isn't terrible, but that isn't what I was looking for.

The structure was originally built as a hotel in 1853 and has been well preserved. I ordered their Smith Flat House salad ($10) and the Jambalaya Risotto ($34) which consisted of Cajun-marinated prawns, lobster meat, Andouille sausage, grilled sweet corn with saffron chicken risotto. Definitely had a bit of a kick to it, the risotto was done well. My pet peeve is mushy risotto, it needs to have a slight bite to it which this one had thankfully. If you have the opportunity to visit, I'd recommend a glass of red from Starfield (winery up the road).
