Grandy's used to be my go to breakfast place on Sundays and I loved to get lunches and dinners there periodically. Ever since they've opened the new building, they have quit doing their Sunday breakfast buffet. So, no more Sundays for me. Now, they've increased their prices to a point where their food IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE THEY'RE CHARGING. I actually felt ripped off the last time I got food, it was so overpriced. I have been in numerous restaurants and have NEVER been more insulted in all experiences. Today we stopped by for a quick meal traveling back home and what we hoped would be a good lunch tuned into a heated event with a very disrespectful teenage and manager. We ordered our usual chicken nuggets and livers and when the cashier brought our food in a TO GO box I told him the order was for here. He promptly said that my wife said it was TO GO, which was not the case. As he continued to prepare our food he mumbles to a co worker "she said it was TO-GO. The rest of the order arrived but as expected the young man forgot my greens and side of fries so when I returned to the register to fix my order I also asked for the receipt. the receipt clearly showed that the designation was Eat-In and this upset my wife. After we finished our meal my wife wanted to show the receipt to the young man and with that action him he responded with, Why are you being so childish? he continued to be argumentative and tossed the receipt back over the counter to my wife. As a 50+ individual pointing out the need to be disrespected by anyone in such a manner is beyond my comprehension. when my wife asked for the manager, he was apparently standing in the middle of the conversation. When she asked him if this is how employees treat customers, he responded that he didn't hear anything. At the same time the employee was standing next to the manager making a small applause, as another sign of disrespect to my wife. I have a call out to the Owner/Manager and I am hoping to see if this action makes an impact. This is a chain restaurant and I hope this makes an impact on how customer service should be the main goal in everything the do. We have been loyal patrons of this restaurant for over 25 years and since we no longer live near this location we always go way out of our way when we pass through the Brunswick, GA area because we love their food. However, if the customer service remains this way we will consider other options as we travel through the area. read more

We purposely stopped Brunswick, just so we could visit Grandy's. Our visit met and exceeded our expectations. We lived in the Dallas area years ago, and enjoyed stopping in for both dinner and Sinnamon rolls. We stopped for dinner last night, and the food was quick, and delicious. Of course, we HAD to stop this am for coffee and Sinnamon rolls. The coffee was fresh and hot, and the rolls were just as delicious as we remembered. Also a shout out to the staff. Super friendly both times, the restaurant is immaculate, and doesn't seem like a fast food restaurant. We highly recommend this location! read more

Although some people mention having some food forgotten and the bad bathrooms, the food here is great despite the negative reviews. They have a fairly high health rating for fast-food despite having some of the most customers in Brunswick. I guess most people giving bad reviews forget that the people working in retail are human, not robots. Although if you need to use the bathroom, go to McDonald's or a gas station. read more

This has always been a Brunswick staple. It's sad to see a place you have long time loved go downhill. Tonight we ordered six different meals, many were lacking. The chicken nuggets were pitiful. Years ago, we use to have a Grandy's in Winston-Salem, N.C. But it has long since closed. But to my complete surprise, I found the Grandy's website, and now I stop by the Grandy's in Brunswick on my "yearly" trip to Florida. The food is typical of it's kind, fried and unhealthy. It's ok. No complaints. But the people who work there need to learn some manners. Not everyone makes a habit of eating in these kinds of places.......fried and unhealthy.....so when someone asks for a cheeseburger because they don't now your menu by heart..........don't laugh and treat them like they are stupid. For what it is, they do a good job. It has a drive thru and is a quasi-fast food establishment with a casual dining appeal. The place doesn't strike you as the cleanest in the world, but the breakfast buffet was pretty good. The fresh biscuits and donuts were delicious. The eggs were ok...seasoning would have helped. The sausage and grits were well received by my taste buds. Truth be told, they are really more of a 3.5 establishment, but Yelp doesn't believe in wishy washy ratings, so I'll go ahead and take my high school math teacher's old yet sound advice and round up. read more

What an inviting, clean fast service restaurant. We were visiting St. Simon's Island on vacation and Grandy's was recommended to us by a local. It's in Brunswick. We had breakfast. However, the bathrooms are so disgusting that I cannot recommend this location. On two visits a month apart, both bathrooms looked and smelled like a place to get dysentery, cholera, and plague. I have grown up eating Grandy's, and I am pretty sure I will eat it until I die. Hopefully I won't die FROM it, because it's not the healthiest ever, but that's a different story. Grandy's is basically a fast food version of a Cracker Barrel. That's a good thing. The portions are large. Most meals are a meat and two sides, plus rolls. Prices aren't bad and service is friendly. There is a large seating area, which fills up especially during breakfast time and after church on Sundays. The menu is varied and the selection of sides/veggies is nice. Drive-thru service is good, and speed varies on the time of day you come, mainly due to the amount of other cars. Breakfast is dynamic. Grandy's is located in Brunswick off Cypress mill Road. This is a meat and three style restaurant. They also serve up a very good breakfast. My favorite at Grandy's is their fried chicken livers. They also have very good Country fried steak, Southern fried chicken, catfish & shrimp, and homemade cinnamon rolls. read more

Here is another Brunswick staple in my mission to eat this entire town apparently. Been here forever and being a guy that listens to the locals, it didn't take me long to check this place out. This place opens at 545, and not a minute too soon if you are looking to go right into a food coma after you wake up in the morning. Pretty dangerous place if you are not looking to enter some type of a sumo wrestling contest at some point. They do a breakfast buffet in the morning. A Southern breakfast buffet of goodness. Chicken and gravy and biscuits and ham and sausage and bacon and eggs...etc..etc. Everything is fresh and fantastic. They also pancakes, French toast and beignets. I love beignets and these are awesome beignets. Oh and they homemade cinnamon rolls, in case that's not enough. I would like them to put my picture in the window so I am not allowed in anymore. Honestly, every time I get off work in the morning I think about this place. And that's just the breakfast. They have a liver and gizzards plate for lunch that's very good. Great service always.
