The Grange is fantastic. This is the idyllic Vermont restaurant. If Yelp let me post seven stars I would. This is my new go to. The location and views are gorgeous. The interior lovely. This isn't farm to table. It's literally an on the farm to farm-restaurant. The food is eclectic and all farm fresh and local. I had a fantastic bulgar risotto. The cocktails were great. My one wish: have a larger wine list with more options.

Firstly the restaurant was 90 degrees-it was unbearable and we should've left after being served warm oysters but we were hoping it would get better. Joanne was great, but as soon as she went up to her office, service was horrible. We had to ask for everything. We ordered 3 apps and 1 came out in 20 min and the other 2 25 minutes after that! We eat at a lot of fine dining restaurants so we are user to spending money. We spent over $300 as a 2 top and didn't even get any sort of acknowledgement for our anniversary. The food was over priced, portions were small and the service was bad. We originally booked the chefs counter but asked to ait in the dining room because I couldnt fathom sitting in front of a kitchen-the girl said we would have to go back to our bar seats-however, tables sat empty the entire time we were there. Besides the warm oysters, the halibut cheeks were super stringy and my husband's pork dish was luke warm with cold puree underneath. Like I said, we shouldve left after the warm oysters but being our anniversary we wanted to try to make the best of it. Such a shame because the location is perfection. I still cant believe we spent $393 on sub par food in a 90 degree dining room. Sorry Hill Farm, we left underwhelmed, sad and with heat stroke.....

The cheese blend on the extra‑cheese pizza was especially tasty, and a custom veggie pie (broccoli, greens pepper, mushrooms) had probably the most thin, uniform distribution of toppings we've ever seen. Literally every bite had small cut, perfectly cooked vegetables in it. The crust might have been our favorite part -- that ideal mix of soft and thin, with great texture and flavor. We know pizza reviews can sometimes get a rough rap, especially when people compare everything to NYC or New Haven styles. We're very familiar with those and love them. This isn't that -- and it doesn't need to be. This is simply wonderful pizza, the kind you look forward to having again. We really enjoyed the whole experience and will absolutely return on future visits to Manchester Center.

Sam's is in a small plaza set back from the street. Inside you find a nice casual pizza place, as you come in you have the pizza kitchen with the large wood fired pizza oven. You can order slices or whole pies, they also have salads, wings and a couple of sandwiches. We ordered a large mushroom pizza and grabbed a table by the small bar area. The bar has beer and wine, they offer a very nice selection of local brews. After settling in the pizza showed up quickly. Sam's pizzas are thin crust, nicely cheesy and have a good basic tomato sauce. The pizza are very good with a nice balance between the yeasty crust, the pungent cheese and the slightly sweet sauce. The mushrooms were a nice touch to add some extra umami to the pie. The pizza was well cooked, although I would usually like it a bit more well done. On the table is garlic powder, hot pepper, oregano, grated cheese and even some hot honey, so you can modify your pizza to your taste. The large pie made a nice dinner split between the two of us, we each got 4 good sized slices. Sam's is a great casual pizza joint, the atmosphere is relaxed, service is quick and we even had some very good live music to compliment our meal. If you are looking to get some good pizza and some beers you can't go wrong by heading to Sam's Wood Fire Pizza.

Yeah I know, silly us. Well we found it and are so glad we did! We got the pizza by the slice and it was heated up to perfect crispiness and delicious! Slices are not cut equally so mine was smaller than my husband's so I just got another for $3.25. They have great specials as shown in the pic. While we were there we heard the bartender scold a male customer stating, "First you say I talk to much and now you say I don't talk enough, make up your f**ing mind." She sounded completely upset and put us on high alert. Everything calmed down after that, but it was a strange first visit and makes me not want to sit at the bar. I read after the fact on Yelp a review talking about a female bartender being very rude, wonder if it is the same person. Another thing that was off-putting was it smelled like someone was burning a scented candle or the plug in air fresheners. Yuck! Will give it another go for sure, fingers crossed.
