We have been to 32 supper clubs now, and we have ranked this place #32. I called and made a reservation for Sunday. Well, we decided to come Saturday instead. I tried calling seven different times over an hour and a half., with the phone just ringing every time. But we still drove the hour and a half hike. So when we arrived, I explained the situation and the host was full of excuses, "there are lots of phones lines and I'm not sure which phone I need to answer." Not once was there a, "I'm sorry, yes we can get you switched." She just told us there would be a 15-20 minute wait now because they had people walk in. Then I realized they literally have 7 tables and a bar area. We were told to wait in a side room and someone would come and get our drink order. We never had anyone come until we prompted, and no one ever gave us menus. We brought our 10 month old with us, because we thought, "oh we are getting there at 4:30, that's plenty early enough." We were waiting 30 minutes before the host came and told us our wait is now an hour. Well an hour turned into an hour and 45 minutes before we even got the option to even get our order taken and just get it going. When we sat, we were surprised that for 5 people, we got 4 cracker packs and never offered any refills on anything. The salads were warm and I didn't even finish it, which is saying something since we waited so long. 4 of us got our food, but my husband ordered scallops and surprisingly, he waited forever for them. They don't take long to cook, so I'm not sure what happened. We had to flag down a random worker to go and check on what the hold up was. They returned sayings "the chef is still cooking them." Uh, okay? My chicken pasta was IMPOSSIBLE to eat! The sauce was so runny and they served it in such a deep bowl (that anytime you tried to get any, it slipped off before you could take a bite. But the chicken was SO CHEWY, I couldn't even finish the first piece. When the server asked how things were, I was honest. She was taken aback, and just said that's unfortunate. Then I found out that another in our party had hair in their food! And at the end, after EVERYTHING we dealt with, they offered us a $10 credit. We paid $85 for the most disappointing experience we have ever had.

Middle of the road but staff was friendly and desserts were good. Fun place to experience at least once for the local flavor.

My favorite on Saturday night is the Fried lobster, garlic mashed potatoes, soup, salad bar, and dessert bar.

They have big leather swivel chairs that are actually comfy. The bar was very lively on a weekday at 4 pm. Watermelon mojito was one of the best I've ever had , followed it up with a great espresso martini. Ordered the fried clams appetizer which was good but many pieces were so small and thin that they seemed pure batter and no clam. The escargo was covered in a mexi-cheese blend that I found strange at first but tastes delicious- just more like Wisconsin escargo then French . They came with delicious crispy bread bites that we soaked up all the extra cheese and juices. Broccoli cheddar soup was the best I've ever had and absolutely loved the steak medallions with onions and dude of sauce . Steak was perfectly cooked. I loved this place and can't wait to come back

The original bar is in the old darker section - more traditional for a supper club.. We stopped there for some old fashions before dinner - they were solid. Service was very good. We ordered our meals after some tough decision making after snacking on their very tasty warm rolls. I tried their special of crabbed stuff shrimp. Five large shrimp that were very good with a baked potato on the side. My wife got the encrusted salmon and was surprised that it was encrusted in a bread crumb cheese mixture. She really enjoyed it. Our friends got the chicken with pasta and the walleye - two thumbs up. We decided to try their ice cream drinks for dessert. One pink squirrel and one brandy Alexander. Both were good but we have had better and bigger versions at other supper clubs. Prices were typical for a supper club - not cheap.

I would have preferred to show up earlier, as we had no choice to bring our 5 and 3 year old that we were vacationing with. All of the staff were extremely friendly. We ordered the Nueskes bacon appetizer: very giant pieces of bacon. While tasty, it was still a bit fatty and I think I honestly prefer regular bacon. We both ordered a 12 oz Filet mignon. I got the Bleu cheese crust and my husband got the Parmesan crust. It was quite a thick crust on top and definitely added to the experience. While it was quite good, I'm not sure I'd say it was the best steak I've ever had, and certainly didn't seem worth $80. The sides were ginormously portioned, even when we got the half side of mashed potatoes for "two" we didn't finish. While we planned on going out for free dinner with the kids afterward, the kids meal prices were not outrageous so we just ordered their meals at the same time. Both dinners came with fries and fruit, so seemed like a decent value. The cocktails were reasonably priced (around $15 each). I would have liked to try more items, but my husband probably would have lost his cool if we spent even more money. The ambiance is nice, but we spent the majority of the time trying to shush our children and not disturb other guests. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience, but not quite worth the price tag.

Enjoyed our visit so very much. Slow night (Tuesday…read moreevening) but we were in town and booked a table. Jordan, our waiter was so very friendly...good suggestions and overall just made our evening. The views from the restaurant are beautiful. All staff were super friendly. Kept the tables cleaned of dirty items... etc. The made at table garbage salad was delightful. We shared a side order of the salad. Hubby had the French onion soup. Our steaks were outstanding - cooked to perfection. (Medium)... risotto was delish and so was spinach and mushroom gratin. So much food- we had to take half of everything home. We were celebrating our anniversary and they surprised us with their signature dessert. OMG!- two fudgey brownies stacked and layered with chocolate and caramel sauce- warmed sauces... with a scoop of ice cream. I'd come back for that dessert alone. Love me a fudge brownie. (Had to take half of that home too). I'd recommend this place- well done Kaminski's!
