Enjoyed our visit so very much. Slow night (Tuesday evening) but we were in town and booked a table. Jordan, our waiter was so very friendly...good suggestions and overall just made our evening. The views from the restaurant are beautiful. All staff were super friendly. Kept the tables cleaned of dirty items... etc. The made at table garbage salad was delightful. We shared a side order of the salad. Hubby had the French onion soup. Our steaks were outstanding - cooked to perfection. (Medium)... risotto was delish and so was spinach and mushroom gratin. So much food- we had to take half of everything home. We were celebrating our anniversary and they surprised us with their signature dessert. OMG!- two fudgey brownies stacked and layered with chocolate and caramel sauce- warmed sauces... with a scoop of ice cream. I'd come back for that dessert alone. Love me a fudge brownie. (Had to take half of that home too). I'd recommend this place- well done Kaminski's!

The best steaks around in the Dells

Went last night for an anniversary dinner. Had the bone in rib eye and filet mignon. Both steaks can be cut with a fork!! We are loyal annual visitors to another popular place in the Dells but think Kaminski's is our new place. We come a few times a year, and will definitely be back. The service & food is worth the price. It's not cheap but damn its good!! You will NOT regret it

Absolutely amazing! Wonderful atmosphere, beautiful view, delicious food. A bit pricey, but it's understood considering the economy. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and abundant portions. The service was incredible! Everyone was pleasant and attentive...an overall great experience. You will leave feeling stuffed. I highly recommend 1lb. Lobster Tail & Filet.

Sapphire martini, up, with 2 olives! (One is the appetizer, the other is the dessert) #giggles

Wonderful dining experience at Kaminski's Chophouse this last week! Greeted warmly By the manager and sat in a booth where we could still see out the large windows with gleaming sunshine in the early evening and beautiful tree line outside. Our server, Karen, was quick, pleasant and very attentive. She explained the steaks and seafood options, their famous garbage salad and attended to my need for a Sapphire martini quickly. The bread was warm and a nice touch while we awaited our meals. We were there on Thursday evening (in the off season) so it wasn't "busy" but other guests came and went. My well-done petite filet was magnificent! (Don't hate me, that's how I like it!) Perfectly cooked and so flavorful! I added bearnaise sauce. My friends medium petite filet was perfect as well. She added bourbon cream sauce. We shared the spinach and mushroom gratin and a huge baked potato for our sides. That spinach and mushroom gratin is a GREAT side dish! So good! We were checked on a few times by both Karen and the manager, but not too much; just right! Karen was engaging and delightful. We finished our meals with creme brûlée, my favorite non chocolate dessert! My friend had never had it before and enjoyed it too! It really was a lovely meal in a beautiful restaurant. It met and exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend. Sorry my pictures are of the food after I started. It was so good, I forgot at first!

Do not pay any mind to the negative reviews below. This steakhouse was fabulous! The filet was cooked to perfection, as was my salmon. Blanton's pour was more reasonable than Buffalo Trace- win! The tableside garbage salad was a must! Will absolutely recommend.

Overpriced for the quality. Fields at the Wilderness is much better hands down. Service is very good but they pride themselves on over serving the portions most of which gets thrown away. Such a waste. Parking was atrocious. Is on the second floors of the Chula Vista hotel.

    Juicy steak cook to perfection

Amazing food and service's Enjoyed my daughters golden 23rd Golden Birthday! Great job team the staff was very welcoming and professional

I have been here at least 8 times with a super senior who uses a cane and has a hearing impairment and several other times with the super senior and other friends or relatives. We usually come on a weekday in the afternoon or early evening when it is not very busy. The staff have always been kind and patient with taking our order and regularly checking on us. I like that the booth area on the main level is uncluttered and does not require steps to access. This makes getting to the booth easier for those with any mobility challenges and it makes it a bit quieter and easier to hear for those with hearing challenges. They have a decent size menu plus great daily specials. When we bring friends or family who can help us eat an appetizer, we always order the cheese curds which taste fresh, hot and not oily. If we don't find a Daily Special that suits us, we usually go for their Fish and Chips, Friday Fish Fry, or Mushroom Burger. They have a wide variety of sides to choose from but our typical go-to sides are the Loaded Mashed Potatoes or Chef's Vegetables. We have enjoyed everything we ordered there.

Ate here on NYE 2025 looking for that authentic Wisconsin "supper club" feel. I've been to a dozen…read more"supper clubs", and I'm still not sure what is supposed to differentiate it from a restaurant. That's all it is. A restaurant. You order your food, they bring it to you, you eat it, you leave. Which is fine. But the mystique in the name escapes me. On that note, at this allegedly renown "supper club" which we made reservations for because it was NYE, the disappointment began with walking in the door. There was a line out the door to approach the host stand, with no guidance as to whether everyone in line had a reservation and was checking in or whether they were just trying to get a table. The two 60+ year old women working it were clearly exasperated, flustered, and had zero efficiency or command of the situation. It was like it was their first night working there, although I doubt this to be the case. At one point the loud-mouthed single mom with her entourage of single-mom daughters announced loudly that she was "going to get sh!t done, because that's what I do!" Well despite the fact that she was a classless pig, it worked. All she had to do was bark at the hostess and she was whisked away to a table. Finally I was able to check in, at this point THEY (not me) were over 20 minutes past my reservation time. They said they'd seat me shortly. Another 15 minutes passed before we were seated. In the meantime, they had an old (80+ years old) crooner walking the lounge singing with his wireless mic accompanied by a man playing keyboard. He was a sweet old man, and he needs to retire. For good. If he needs the money, I understand. But his voice was about as good as his eyesight. Embers should not have scheduled him as the "entertainment". There is no ATM in Embers, and although I always carry cash I had used the last $20 in my wallet prior to our arrival. I walked to the other "supper club" across the street (Del Bar), used their ATM to get cash, and returned to tip the god-awful but well-intended singer and his musician - but they were packing up. It was 3 hours before midnight. Pretty early to stop the music. I then reminded the hostess that I was still alive, and she led us to a "booth" in the "lounge". This bar is the stuff of 1950's Vegas, and hasn't been cleaned or painted since then. The "booth" they sat the 3 of us in was like an RV dining booth - barely big enough for my average male build on one side, and not fitting my adult wife and daughter (both petite) on the other. There was a cocktail tray sitting on the top of the backrest, which the hostess apparently wasn't going to remove. Additionally, we were now almost in the playing area of the musician - who was packing up. So we are supposed to sit here while he winds his wires 3 feet from us and lugs out keyboards, stands, etc. The hostess fled before I had made up my mind that this was unacceptable - which was clear, but my family was starving and I was considering walking the fine line of "at least we'll eat now." Turns out, I didn't. I was so enraged that they sat us in an RV booth while the band disassembled that I went to the host stand and told her we'd wait for a table not in steerage class. Despite probably having a young grandparent on the Titanic she didn't understand the reference. I spelled it out more clearly when a drunk middle aged male interrupted and demanded to know why there was a 20% gratuity added to his bill, and she pointed to the fine print on the NYE "special" menu that spelled it out. Then he wanted to argue about why they calculate the tip after tax, and she explained that's Wisconsin law. Finally I told him to wait until I'm done before he does his taxes at the host stand, and he shut up. The hostess then found another table for us, in a room that was dated and crowded. We acquiesced. Once dinner arrived, my wife had average filet mignon and below average lobster tail. I had their "special" ribs that are supposed to be world-famous, and they were about a 3 of 5 stars. Slightly smokey flavor, cooked well, slight bit of char, and a good basic sauce. But not much meat. Clearly the House of Embers was looking to be the House of 1000% Profit Margin on NYE. My daughter's meal was so lacking I can't even remember what it was. I realize that this review focuses more on the "experience" than the food, but Yelp asks "how would you rate your experience?" Well, the experience was bad. With the perspective that I have some nerve narrating first-world problems while most of the world would love to have my "bad" experience, I'm addressing it for what it is: I paid for one thing, I got another. And the "other" was a big disappointment. Next time I'll try the Del Bar and hope for better.

The appetizers came out promptly and deliciously presented. I also had their homemade beef barley soup that was to die for overall I thought everything was really good. I also had a steak.
