It's a really cute little shop that sells products made by other small shops. The front has a small turf lawn with plenty of seating and a doggy station. The cakes are tasty and moist with a wide selection available, but the cake ball and filled donuts were really dry with barely any filling in it. The filled donut was so bad I threw it out after a bite. While looking around, I noticed the $4 cookies were mostly broken in half, which I thought was strange. Overall a cute little bakery, but I'd stick with the cakes. read more

We stumbled upon a hidden gem at Old Celina downtown. Loved loved the place! Amazing bakery, their displayed cakes, cake pops, vast variety of macroons and pies are a delight for not only kids but everyone! You can't stop at one! You would want to taste them all! The owner helped us so politely and sweetly, we loved our experience. The ambience is so close to their journey from childhood to showcasing their first car, it's hard to miss their emotional connect to everything displayed their passion. Ran across this place on my impromptu trip to Salina and decided to pop in. I read some reviews that they had some yummy things but they were a little expensive but I thought I'd give it a shot. I found a selection of cookies and cake, pops, and slices of cake and everything looked delicious. I ended up getting two of the blueberry cookies, two of the cookie dough, cake, balls, and two of the chocolate peanut butter cake balls. Everything was very good. I found out if you buy four cake balls there's a deal. My total was a little over $15 and I don't think that's a bad price. It's a very cute little place and if I lived out here, I think I would love to bring my girlfriends to hang out and have a treat. read more

The staff are super sweet and helpful - they are professional and are prompt to answer all questions/needs you may have. The shop is well decorated and has a wide arrangements of goodies, jams, and even fresh bread for you to buy. Prices are a bit on the higher end but it is a specialty bakery shop, with its own gluten free section (awesome), in the center of Celina's down town. Not a lot of seating indoors but plenty of seating outside. Generally very clean on the inside and it's overall a cute nook to grab some treats. read more

Cute establishment and friendly service does not make a good bakery. The Hummingbird Cake was dry and almost tasteless with the exception of being overly sweet and hint of cinnamon; the Carrot Cake was of the simplest form and almost as tasteless; the Blueberry Cookie was an explosion of sugar overload. Both the Hummingbird Cake and Cookie had to be thrown away as I could not tolerate the taste. Not for my taste buds but for sugar addicts, this may be your place. read more

Fantastic experience today at Granny's Bakery! Our dear family friend set up a sourdough baking class with the owner today. My daughter joined and LOVED it. We learned so many great tips. The bakery itself is beautiful with so much character! The affirmations painted in the bathroom, the lovely little dining rooms and tables, the beautiful glass cake case, and the light blue convertible VW made for a fun and energetic environment! Btw - the light blue VW belonged to the bakery owner as it was HER vehicle since she was 16! So much fun! Oh - and the bakery items were fantastic!!! read more

Really hate to be this person.. but the truth is the way to go. We met with someone to discuss wedding details. We ordered a small cake and a sheet cake for my wedding. While making plans they wrote down all the details and let us review them. We also had the number to text for other details such as photos. Many things were wrong but I'd like to start off with.. we set a time and date for someone to come pick up the cake. They said the day of the wedding at 10am for pickup. With of course being super focused and busy on setting up the wedding we somehow totally forgot to pick up the cake. What I'm extremely disappointed with is the fact that the bakery knew this was a wedding cake. set a time and date but never called or messaged after the time had passed to remind us? Not a single reminder. As I'm adult enough to acknowledge that yes we were meant to pick it up being partially our fault but I do personally feel like they should take responsibility for the lack of communication with their client knowing it was a WEDDING cake needing to be picked up. We remembered about 5 hours into the wedding.. when it was cake cutting time. We sent the uncles to pick up the cake one hour before closing. Still nothing. No acknowledgement whatsoever that it was hours after pickup. Moving on to the actual cake. Oh. My. God. What an absolutely awful cake. We ordered the parent trap cake (Oreo cake with peanut butter frosting) the cake was spoiled? Old? Rotten? I don't even know how to explain the taste of our cake. It smelled so bad as if it was truly made weeks before, frozen, unfrozen and then sitting out for days? Maybe the dairy products were bad and they still made the cake? I'm not even sure. And I truly wish I had my wedding photos back to prove my first instinct of spitting it out. The cake also smelled very minty? We also asked for pearls on the cake, no black words and to use white. (Picture below) I asked my sister to try it and she had to immediately spit it out. She ran to get the other slices of cake to see if it was the same sourness. One of the cakes was extremely dry and the other also had the same taste as ours. No one ate the 3 cakes we had and I'm extremely disappointed. read more

Wow! Wow! Wow! My husband and I stumbled upon this cute bakery. We were immediately greeted by very kind and knowledgeable staff. We grabbed a loaf of sourdough bread ( that they make fresh daily) , blueberry cinnamon roll, brownie and an oatmeal cream pie cookie sandwich. Charming decor and plenty of outdoor seating. And pet friendly!! They even have treats for your pups. Everything was really good! The oatmeal cookie stood out it was not overly sweet and was the perfect balance. Impressed with the quality! We tried several different things here. The cake balls are very dough-y and quite small. The cupcakes are on the dry side, and the frosting doesn't seem to be buttercream, more of an icing. And way too much of it. The blondie brownie had chocolate chips in it, which seems odd for a blonde brownie. They usually have white chocolate and/or butterscotch chips. I will say the brownie was very tasty, dense and rich, but maybe slightly undercooked at the thick end. It's cut in a pie wedge shape. It's a really cute place, I would give it 5 stars for the decor and the layout. I was just not very impressed with the baked goods. Maybe I need to try the breads and other items. read more

12/24: I went into the Bakery this morning to order a cake for my wife's birthday on 12/31 and was informed that they were no longer accepting orders for the rest of the year. Seems that they have allowed all of their Bakers to be off for the remainder of the year. I understand that their employees are their #1 Asset but who allows an entire department to be off during any time of the year let alone the Holiday Season. They have lost my business. read more

We told the guy who was at the front that this was our first time and that we just moved to the area and he greeting us when we walked in and explained the whole layout of the place. He was super friendly and I grabbed more than expected and can't wait to go back! The cakes are delicious our favorite was the hummingbird cake almost reminded me of carrot cake, will buy again! The oatmeal pie was so good and they make their crème filling in house, the blondie was good too was a little too sweet for me but everything is worth a try! Where do I even start? From decadent custom cakes, specialty treats, to fresh bread, Granny's has it ALL. Granny's is my family's go-to bakery in Celina because they're simply the best. We always stop in for one or two things (usually their outstanding sourdough bread- pictured in my husbands birthday basket) but we often leave with a bag full of incredible homemade treats. Our current favorite is the oatmeal cream pie but my all-time guilty pleasure is the apple pie cinnamon roll. As a surprise for our elopement, my sister's from out of state ordered a custom cake for my husband and I from Granny's. It was the perfect touch to our special day and not only was the cake amazing, but the detail that went into it was too. While we love indulging at Granny's, we've also had the pleasure of taking a bread making class there. We learned the ins & outs of what it takes to make a great loaf, had a lot of laughs (thanks to Chester and Mikala!), and even got to sample a bunch of their bread offerings while we were there! While I can clearly go on and on about Granny's products, the thing that actually sets Granny's apart from all the rest is the staff. Not only are they clearly gifted at their craft but they are all so friendly. Between the kind smiles and the warm atmosphere (and sweet smell of fresh baked goods) walking into Granny's feels like home. We love it, our family and friends love it, and most importantly- our town loves it. Granny's is a true Celina staple that I know will be here for generations to come. read more

Granny's is the local bakery in town. They have very good fresh breads. We like to purchase our weekly loaf here as there are no preservatives and all natural. They have edible cookie dough which is very good. Their cookies and brownie bars are also very enjoyable and melt/crumble in your mouth Only negatives are the cupcakes we have had turn out to be dry. Even after letting them warm a little for the icing to soften. Cake balls are hit or miss. Pricing is reasonable, service is fantastic, and the shop has a "fun" interior! read more

I want to start by saying I'm not particularly partial to sweets. I find most cakes and pies to be soooooo sugary they are barely edible. I don't consider my palate erudite or anything, just not inclined toward sweets. Having said that, I have yet to eat anything from Granny's I wouldn't consider delicious! The cakes are moist and flavorful, cookies soft and delectable, and you absolutely must try the cake balls! It doesn't stop there - the bread is out of this world. I regularly buy loaves of various breads and find myself just eating it straight. Soooooo good. They also have a breakfast sandwich that can change your religion. It was wonderful! Purchased a Ranch, Bacon and Cheddar and Jalapeño and Cheddar breads. I also purchased one cinnamon roll for my daughter and she loved it. She said it was so good. I made a Panini last with the jalapeño and cheddar bread and that was awesome.
