I am glad I did, as Cat Angels Thrift Store is the perfect local thrift spot. I am forever looking for lowkey, under the radar-type thrift shops, and this one fits the bill. The space is quite small and well-organized. There are racks of clothing along the walls and a shoe cubby. I really appreciate how neat everything was, and how the clothing was reliably sorted by size. It made the browsing experience really enjoyable. There were lots of unique pieces and good materials. I ended up snagging a pair of Sam Edelman boots for under $20, and they were in great condition. There is a stamp card available as well! You get a stamp for each shopping trip over $20. Once you fill the card, you get $$ off your next purchase (I forget the amount off the top of my head). I am glad that money goes towards a no-kill cat shelter, and will definitely shop/donate here going forward.

This review is for the ease of dropping off donations at the drive thru drop off. I am constantly…read morepurging and have recently helped a couple of people clean out their houses. I absolutely love donating to the Durham Rescue Mission as they make it super easy and the donations go to a good cause. There is a drive thru bay in the back in which you just pull up and then a team of guys unload the car for you. They are always super nice and it could not be any easier. They'll even give you a tax receipt if you want. Highly recommend!

It was a huge let down and I no longer had interest in browsing. I bought some stickers to at least give them some pay for our time spent in their air conditioned shop. The staff were nice and asked if we needed any help. We weren't watched the entire time which was nice because I hate being watched when I shop. I just couldn't stomach $60 for a piece of uranium glassware when I can get the same thing on eBay for less than $10. Some things were reasonably priced in the brick rack section but other times you'd get other items that were like $15 which didn't make sense to me. (See photos) Same goes for anything branded they definitely give it a higher tag. For example, I liked a sweater Forever 21 and it ended up being like $14 so I put it back. Furniture was same- $100+ for a small shelf then dropped to $80 but I wouldn't have spent that much at a thrift shop. It's not an antique store in my opinion.
