So you can imagine how happy I was when they decided to open a love bird in Winter Haven just a few miles from my permanent office. I think this location is even better than the Lakeland location because it is a little bigger than the parking lot is much better. They still have that absolutely fabulous crispy fried chicken that is so delicious. I love that you can cater it to your personal spice level. I like mine medium, but my mom prefers hers with no spice. Their fried chicken stays crispy even when it gets cold. Sometimes I'll go and grab myself some lunch while I'm at work and then get some fried chicken to take home to my husband for dinner and it's still crispy and juicy and fabulous. I also love that they have a meal that was invented for me. My favorite thing to order is called, The my girl ain't hungry. It consists of one giant chicken, tender in your choice of fried or grilled with a side and a drink for eight dollars. It is the perfect portion for me.
