I definitely have to update my review from a few years ago as I returned here a couple of times recently and had a great experience. This place is absolute paradise for my Lego loving child. It's pirate themed and has epic Lego creations. My son loves the area where kids can play with Legos and it's nice for the parents too as it gives them a break. The food is served family style and you get a lot of bang for your buck as you can reorder as many things as you'd like. We chose the Pirate Platter which includes: a delicious salad with apples and pecan and honey bread upfront, then a platter of assorted meats such as brisket, steak, sausage, chicken, and ribs. The brisket is our favorite. It comes with green beans, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese. I really wanted to try some of the vegan platter so they brought that out for me at no extra charge. For dessert, we got a pan cookie with ice cream as well as the vegan chocolate fondue with fruits and marsh mallows. All of this unlimited for only $39 per adult and $19 per child with drinks included. Delicious and such a fun dinner experience! Since I stayed at the hotel, I also came here for breakfast as it is included in the stay. Breakfast is the same across all three Legoland hotels. It's also served family style and includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, French toast or pancakes. You can add fruits, yoghurts, cereal, oatmeal at no up charge. And it also includes drinks such as coffee, milks, juices, etc. The staff was very accommodating about letting me take things to go and ordering extra stuff. read more

Ok so we came here for convenience after the park. We walked in and saw its $40 per person for an adult. I was like oof. But we sat down and met our waitress Michelle. She is very nice. Older lady, you can tell she's been around as a waitress for a while. Kind of reminds me of like the old diner waitresses "What are you having" lol. Anyway, she was awesome. She let us pick off both options. We ordered the pirate one which is BBQ choices and we got some of the sea dog options for the seafood side. So sweet. We first got our bread. It was good. Tasted like a yeast bread. Came oiled and with sweet butter. It also came with a salad as well for the table which had cheese, tomatoes onion and greens. The salad dressing was light and sweet. The main food came. It came with ribs, flank steak, pulled pork, brisket, beans, string beans, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, sausage, and shrimp. 3 sauces came with it, regular bbq, mango bbq and mustard. The mango bbq had real mango in it. Now, preface by saying I understand this isn't a 5 star Michelin chef meal and I wasn't expecting much. However, this was actually very good. The steak was very good. Not dry. The brisket was good. The ribs were good not dry. The pulled pork was dry. The salmon was good, The shrimp was good, Sausage was good, the string beans were ok, the macaroni was very heavy but good and the mashed potatoes were good. Overall I was very impressed. They were really attentive to our allergies and the food here is underrated. You will need to make reservations a day in advance. Shout out to the sous chef Dior. He came out to check on us and discuss allergies. He was super nice and kind. We ate here two nights in a row. Really good service from the staff, Jasmine was our favorite server. Loved the shrimp when it was dipped in butter. Ask to get your steak medium rare or it comes out medium. The bread and butter should be illegal, because it's so addicting!! read more

Five stars for dinner, two for breakfast so I'm rounding it to four stars. One of my favorite parts of this play is there is a play den with legos so when the kids get bored waiting for dinner you can send them there. I wish every restaurant had this. Dinner is family style where supposedly you can choose one of three options, but since I don't eat pork they told us that we could substitute in anything we wanted. That's how we ended up with brisket, flank steak, shrimp and rotisserie chicken. Our friends were able to add sides of meat to their option so it seems like the entire menu is fair game under the price. The starter salad was excellent and I loved the bread, even though I was trying not to fill up on carbs before the main dish. The brisket was super fatty and I absolutely loved it. I'm still thinking about that brisket. The shrimp was a family favorite and my husband is still thinking about the shrimp. We also got chicken tenders and fries on the side for the kids. I loved the mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. I also really liked their mushroom sauce. The rice was just ok and I could have done without the baked beans. The dessert, which was a cookie with ice cream was also very good. If you tell them you're celebrating a birthday they'll bring a candle. Even though they gave my son a birthday button our server didn't know he was celebrating his birthday until we told him, so don't assume just because you have a button that they know. On the other hand, breakfast was pretty bad. It comes free with the room or else I'd never pay for that. The eggs were overcooked, the breakfast potatoes were pretty dry, the vegetarian sausage was bad, really the only good things were the biscuit and the french toast sticks. The coffee was also very acidic. However, our server was amazing. I wish I got her name, but she was a wealth of knowledge about the parks. We got there between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. and didn't have to wait. However I noticed starting around 8:30 a.m. that a line starts to form. By 9 a.m. it's pretty long. I liked this restaurant and how convenient it is when you're staying here. The pirate theming is top notch, I love the look of the place. read more

The ambiance is very good for kids 2-7. The food is just okay but that's not what you are there for. We went there for breakfast and our food was pretty cold when it made it to the table. Liquid smoke seemed to fill the air but it could have been due to the late evening bbq special cooking. I liked eating at the Bricks more for the lighter cleaner feeling but the food was the same at both locations. I thought service was slightly better at bricks as well. read more

We went here for dinner one night and breakfast another. Great service and over the top with the experience and decoration. All to be expected with Legoland. What was unexpected was the food. Both experiences were great! We are plant based so I was a bit concerned on how it would go. We told the server at dinner and they prepared a whole family style meal all plant based. We got fresh bread and salad. Our server did miss that there was cheese on the salad but no big deal as we had plenty of food coming. The platter had tofu and broccoli, potatoes, mac n cheese, cauliflower, green beans, vegan meatloaf, and pot stickers. Dessert was vegan chocolate fondue with fruit and marshmallows. Everything was great and all vegan! We also enjoyed some white wine and our son liked the pirate bandanas at the table and kids Lego area within the restaurant. We went to both the main hotel restaurant and shipwreck for breakfast during our stay. Both were really good! I enjoyed the fact that the chef came to our table twice at shipwreck to check that everything was good. I think cooking the plant based platter was a welcomed change/challenge. Shipwreck served us toast, vegan sausage, just egg, and lots of sautéed veggies. We had fresh fruit before that. We saw another table order small cartons of silk almond milk. We came here for my son's 5th birthday. They made everything special! So much food! It was a family style dinning. So you choose the meats you want and you can get unlimited side dishes. We actually had some that we took as leftovers and the kids ate it the next day in the park for lunch! We went with the "Pirate Platter" which was more BBQ meats but we asked if we could sub the ribs for shrimp and they did it. We visited for their family-style all you care to eat buffet and it did not disappoint. Though the table feels small and crowded for our family of 4, the food was delicious and tasted fresh. We were stuffed! Our experience with Legoland staff has been lackluster during this trip, but Linda absolutely stood out at the restaurant. She was warm and upbeat, and helped us navigate the menu with a great attitude. She had the best disposition and we really appreciated that during a time where customer service is a lost art. For dessert, they had the option of either a cookie withice creamm on top or the chocolate fondue. We personally opted for the chocolate fondue (which came with strawberries, marshmallows, and bananas), and I absolutely loved that I could request more strawberries. Legoland Shipwreck Restaurant is located inside the Legoland Hotel, specifically the Pirate Legoland hotel area in Florida. Easily, one of the best breakfast family style service I've had. The breakfast platter consists of a variety of breakfast options. When we had breakfast one of the mornings, it included waffles, biscuits/gravy, banana, sausage, bacon, and eggs. This is unlimited! You can get refills whenever you need, all you have to do is put in a request. Each morning, the breakfast platter will change, sometimes they'll put pancakes instead. Free refills on drinks. You're provided initially with orange juice and water, but you can ask for other selections such as soda. I really enjoyed eating at the Legoland Shipwreck. It was one of the best experiences I've had at the Legoland properties. The service was absolutely outstanding. The team members were constantly visiting our table, asking if we needed anything. The wait-time each morning wasn't too bad, approximately 30 minutes. I'd recommend coming and eating earlier before the theme parks open if you can. Legoland Shipwreck restaurant opens as early as 7 a.m. Scheduling can be a little difficult, especially if you wait around 9:00 A.M to book a reservation. This is a good hotel restaurant. We ate here for 3 breakfasts and one dinner. The breakfasts were part of the hotel package. If you eat before 8:30am on a weekday, you probably will not wait for a table. But every day, when we left breakfast around 9:30am, there was a line of people waiting for tables. All meals are served family style. There's a daily breakfast platter that includes bacon, eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy and some sort of pancake/waffle/French toast. It's solid and filling. I got a little tired of it after three days, but you can also order up individual skillets. I tried the veggie one, which basically is eggs with a small scoop of spinach and mushrooms on top of hash browns. It was fine, although I'd skip the bechamel if given the option. We had one dinner. We had the Seadog skillet. The meal started with a salad, which was fine. The Seadog skillet has blackened white fish, grilled shrimp, chicken, pork loin, and steak, in addition to sides. It was a huge amount of food that our table of 4 could not finish. There was also an included dessert (we opted for the cookie, which was excellent). We were surprised by how good the food was. I mean, it was maybe a little saltier than I'd like, but there was nothing that was outright bad. Service was across the board good. Very friendly and helpful servers. The served buffet situation led to speedy service. Coffee was adequate, although I was surprised that they use creamer rather than milk (especially given the fact that they use 100% maple syrup and real Nutella, why not offer real cream as standard?). All in all, if you can get reservations at this restaurant for dinner, there's no reason to leave the Legoland Resort during your vacation here. Legoland has improved their vegan options dramatically since our last visit 3 years ago. The crown jewel of these improvements is at the Shipwreck Restaurant. We had breakfast and dinner there 3 days in a row because of the great options for our plant based family. They were also able to accommodate a gluten and quinoa allergy as well. For breakfast they had fruit, vegan just eggs, gf vegan pancakes, gf fried potato cubes, gf spinach/mushroom/pepper/onion hash, gf vegan sausage, tomato based sauce, toast, vegan butter, soy and almond milk. For dinner they had a great salad (no cheese), gf vegan loaf (no teriyaki sauce for gf), gf fries, gf vegan Mac n Cheeze, gf vegan baby potatoes, teriyaki tofu with broccoli (not gf), veggie potstickers, gf vegan baked beans (REALLY good), green beans, gf cauliflower steaks, vegan cornbread. Plant based desert was not good but, the kids were so stuffed they didn't seem to mind skipping it. Tips: Make a reservation for dinner. We ate around 6:30 every night with very little wait to be seated. If it rains, go early to minimize your wait. They open at 5pm. The later it gets the busier they got. Plant based food is cooked to order so expect to wait a little extra to have it prepared as compared to the other menu items that are ready to serve on arrival. Allocate about an hour for dinner. They open at 7am for breakfast. No reservations. To start we got salad; bread, and any drinks (non alcohol included). You can order however you want, though they have styles they typically serve as a platter. The baked beans, sausage, and the chicken were really delicious! The green beans were one of my favorite items- covered in delicious garlic and shallots! My husband loved the fish! The kids loved the kids chicken and fries and mashed potatoes!! For dessert we had the cookie and the fondue! Not the we needed both as we filled up on the meal! The Shipwreck restaurant within the pirate section of the Legoland hotel is the BEST restaurant on the property. The theme is top notch, the service is very good, and the food options are awesome for breakfast and dinner. I love having food delivered in a skillet...and all-you-can-eat is amazing before or after a long day walking around a theme park. For breakfast, the offerings are more standard with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and the carb of the day (one day it was waffles, the other was pancakes, and one day it was French toast sticks which were the best of the bunch). You also get a choice of juice, coffee, water, milk or chocolate milk. For dinner, there were some really fun skillet options. The Sea Dog was our favorite, with rotisserie chicken, grilled shrimp (AMAZING), flank steak, blackened fish and pork loin. And then the sides included wild rice, mac and cheese and buttered green beans (also AMAZING). We also tried the meat-based skillet one night and it was a great option, but I love that grilled shrimp. And if you want more of anything, just ask...it's all-you-can-eat. If you're not into meat or seafood, there is a third and final plant-based option, too, though I can't personally speak to that one. And save room for the cookie and ice cream sundae (also all-you-can-eat) which was heavenly. The only downside to Shipwreck, which is expected as it's an kid-friendly restaurant, is that it's VERY loud. And if you are seated near the brick-building cave-like area for kids, it can be incredibly annoying. There were a number of very poorly behaved kids screaming and throwing Legos at each other while we were dining. Overall, this was a Legoland hotel favorite and one that shouldn't be missed . read more

We came here during spring break. Our party consisted of my husband, my 3-year-old, my parents (in their mid-fifties), and me. The service was top notch, with the waiter taking special care of my child with allergies. The chef came to our table and put together a special meal just for him, consisting of gluten free, dairy free mac n cheese, and chicken. For dessert he got his own special vegan chocolate fondue with berries and marshmallows. I am thrilled whenever servers take extra care to ensure my child still has a quality meal experience when we go out. The meal itself is hearty, and there is no shortage of food, you can have as much as you'd like. The meats themselves were somewhat dry, but the blackened tilapia was tender (I'm usually not a fan of tilapia). The salad was also good, with pieces of some type of fruit in it, and almonds. Overall, my four stars stem from how well they treated my child, but I did not give five stars as the meats were fairly dry. It is a fairly pricey experience, though it can be explained through the fact that you can get more of nearly anything you would like. It is a fun place for young kids, as they can play in the hotel lobby area before being called dinner, and there are so many Legos to keep a kid entertained (in fact, my child did not want to go to dinner because he was having so much fun with the Legos). read more

There were five members in our party and our server kept our food replenished. Servings are unlimited but it does take time to wait for more food. The salad was so fantastic we all loved the dressing. The LEGO bread was served with cinnamon butter. It was so soft and fresh. The meal was very good and the dessert was even better we loved our mini skillet cookies! Definitely one of the top five restaurants we have ever eaten. We stayed at Legoland Resort from 7/12-7/16. Want to give extra praise to Leona, one of the staff that works on Saturdays at Shipwreckers restaurant for breakfast. She has always gone above and beyond to make sure we have what we need during our breakfast visits. Always kind. Usually we have great service at Shipwreckers restaurant for breakfast, but Sunday morning's service was the worst out of our visits at Legoland Resorts. Kelly was our server and she would walk past our tables numerous times to serve the table behind us and not ask if we are ok. It felt like she wanted to visit our table as little as possible. Even when we were leaving and I asked for a to-go coffee it had coffee grinds throughout the coffee like it was old coffee that was at the bottom of the coffee dispenser. The food was awesome: salad was okay, the dressing could be more, the bread with cinnamon butter was so good that we got a second one. We picked the pirate platter for our main course, since most of our family are meat eater. I love seafood, was hoping to add on the shrimp and fish. The server only allows us to swap it with one of the item. The shrimp was good, we also loved the pull pork, and sausage. The side dishes were okay, kids didn't like the Mac and cheese, I wish there are more greens for the grownup. The green beans were good as well as the mash potato. The desert was very good. We've been annual passholders for about 9 months now and of all the food we've had, this place is definitely our favorite. It's all you can eat, served family style. The bread is amazing. It's a freshly baked sweet bread with a glaze on top. The salad is one of my favorite things too because I love a bunch of toppings. It's topped with cranberries, apples, red onions, diced almonds, multi colored tomatoes and Parmesan cheese. They have two skillets with multiple meats and sides. We choose the sea dog. You're allowed to swap out proteins, for example, we switch the fish for brisket. Leave room for dessert! The cookie skillet is amazing. And the other option is strawberries, marshmallows, & bananas with dipping chocolate! Both are delicious. Since the meal is all you can eat we always get both desserts. Enjoy! Seriously, come here for the green beans! I've been to shipwrecks twice now and the food is always spectacular but what stands out most to me, is the green beans. I've been to some of the most high end restaurants in the world and none have highlighted the humble green bean as such. They're hericot verts by the way. The skinny frenched sort of green bean that is sweet and crisp and refreshingly compliments the rest of the meal that clearly needs a light side dish. The food is really good here. Leaps and bounds better than Disney or Universal. The fish, steak and brisket are always tender and perfectly cooked. My family loved the ribs and shrimp. If you can, definitely stop by here. You won't be disappointed. Now, the service is never really spectacular. They ask about allergies but they don't seem to honor the requests. In this I mean we have asked to place allergen food on separate plate only for them to deliver the food altogether, and then send out subsequent plates of individual meats. I really don't like this from the food waste perspective. I wish they were better about following directions and I can't say if it's the kitchen staff or the wait staff dropping the ball. However, the kids are entertained and the food is good. The kids can build legos at the table, go to a building room inside allowing the adults to enjoy a bevy after a hot, exhausting, theme park laden day. We had the family meat lovers meal that included eggs, sausage, bacon pancakes/waffles and biscuits and gravy. Food was good and the staff was friendly and professional. TIP: Some people complain about the wait for breakfast. We woke up at 7:30 every morning and went down for breakfast no later than 8:00am. We did not wait in line once. By 9:00am.
