This is by far my favorite coffee shop in the area! The shop has the most beautiful wooden tables and furniture and the staff is so friendly! When I stop in on my commute to work, there are always fresh muffins coming out of the oven! Speaking of muffins - they are out of this world! I am so happy that Granola's Coffee House has opened. I must maintain a Gluten Free diet, and Granola's is right on the mark for that. The quiche as a potato crust that is yummy, and the bakery items are always fresh and flavorful without being too sugary. The coffee is very good, but due to the special brewing process, it takes longer to get a cup. Still worth it, though! read more

I love this place. Locally owned. Good coffee. Home baked pastries. Plenty of gluten-free and vegan options if that's your thing. It's spacious and comfortable. Good place to meet a friend. Or there is solid Wi-Fi with lots of plugs and some tables so you can work if that's what you need. I find it the best coffee shop in half Moon Bay if I really want to sit a while and read or work or just visit with a friend. Only downside is it's not right downtown. read more

We spent about a fortnight travelling around SF and the NorCal region (out as far as Yosemite and down as far as Big Sur). This was the best coffee and bagel, and the friendliest staff (I think they could even be siblings), of the entire trip. Loved the vibe inside and the little caravan thing going on outside. Highly recommend if you're after something better than most of the offerings in the US (seriously, 80% of the coffee and cafes suck in my experience so far). read more

Love love love it here! This will be my new weekend go-to coffee shop when I'm up early and ready for a drive. It's about 45 mins from the South Bay, but super easy to access once you're in HMB. The reclaimed and natural wood decor is WONDERFUL. We went around 9:30am on a Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised with how much seating space was inside and it was easy to grab a spot for 2. I ordered a latte and an oatmeal with fruit- both of which get a 10/10. Wonderful vibe. Would be a great space for meeting with friends, writing an essay, sketching a portrait or daydreaming. read more

Ordered a waffle though and waited 35 minutes during a low traffic brunch hour, watching the waffle guy burn my waffle one after another, only to hear that the waffle maker was on the "fritz." Ham and cheese croissants and pumpkin seeds scones where very good. Scone would of been perfect with some butter maybe it should be offered. I had to ask to get the my scone warmed up. It also should of been offered. The place is so cute and items are delicious but the employees are just not very pleasant and all were standing there with there arms crossed! I woulda given this business a 1 star just due to the employees because it was an enjoyable experience. This turns people away. It was Saturday 8/26 morning around 9:30am. Wow. Yelp did not do me any favors with their recommendation on this place. Where to begin? I ordered a hot coffee ( black) and it was honestly some of the worst coffee I have ever had. Worse than hotel coffee, worse than gas station coffee. I tried to drink it anyway, but I just couldn't do it and ended up just throwing it away. My husband got the iced cold brew and it was almost just as bad. Really really disappointed, as it took us some effort to go here. The pastry/ food selection was completely lacking. I got a chocolate chip muffin and it crumbled into a million pieces it was so dry when I put my fork in it. Inedible. Not impressed with anything about this place.. Staff included. I really wouldn't waste your time. There is a Starbucks and some other coffee shops nearby. read more

Two friends and I were driving south on hwy 1 to find some lunch in Half Moon Bay. On our right side we saw a small little building, decked out in patriotism. We noticed the little building and collectively said "what the heck is that?!" We all thought it was an interesting building and just kept driving. After lunch, we all wanted some coffee and wanted to experience the local coffee scene. So we searched for coffee shops on yelp and this place had fairly good reviews, so we let the gps lead us and lo and behold, we pulled into the parking lot of the little American flag covered building. As soon as we walked in we were instantly taken aback as it was not what we were expecting (for the record, I'm not exactly sure what we were expecting. Something patriotic perhaps). Its so cozy and warm and the furniture is just absolutely beautiful. Coffee is served in the cutest little mugs that I wish I could have took home with me. The service was great, the two young ladies working were super sweet and helpful. The actual coffee, however, was okay. It wasn't the worst I've had, but it also wasn't the best. read more

not sure how long granola's has been here but i've been in n out of hmb for the past year and finally stumbled upon granola's a couple weeks ago. its what i've been looking for in hmb. good cold brew coffee and killer protein cookies which i keep trying to recreate but they're just not the same. also, good parfait and breakfast sandwiches. stop by if you're in the mood for a mellow coffee shop with great home baked pastries and coffee. read more

Took my family here after cutting down our tree. The place is adorable. But the staff has attitude, cashier not as bad as the barista who all but rolled her eyes when I checked on one of our drinks. I won't be coming back here. I am a local and want to support local businesses. But there are plenty of other options on the coast with better service. And they can't blame it on it being busy, there were only two other people in the place. To top it off, they got our pretty simple orders wrong. Two stars because the drinks were good. read more

This is the best coffee house in the coastside strip that extends from Pacifica to Half Moon Bay. Since moving from San Francisco in January I was pleasantly surprised to find this rustic and unpretentious cafe that serves an excellent coffee brew along with delectable muffins, slices, cookies and now, even pastries baked on site. Anastasia, their chef is wonderful as are the baristas and cashiers, who are all local, young folk. I have my favorites who are particularly attentive and go out of their way to deliver exceptional service. read more

I knew Granola's had great coffee and ridiculously good cookies, but I didn't stop there most mornings because they only seemed to have oatmeal for breakfast. I found out today that they have awesome egg and cheese sandwiches! Order this one: everything bagel with egg, cheese, spinach, sliced tomato, and a little bit of cream cheese. I looooove Granolas and love going with my children. The outdoor area is great for them to run around. The food is incredible. But I just had a horrible customer service experience. I ordered two cookies with my meal for my children, and they never came. When I inquired about them, I was told that we only ordered one but I was still not given the other cookie that we had paid for. I assumed they were working on it since I had requested that they heat it. After two other prepared parts of our order came up, my partner inquired again about the cookies, all the while our children were at her feet asking for food. She was again told it was only one and that if we wanted another one we would need to pay. It seemed like they were accusing of us trying to get something for free when clearly someone had rung up our order wrong. No one offered to give her the cookie we had already paid for, and no one apologized for the cashiers mistake in ringing me up. Instead we were just repeatedly told that we had only paid for one cookie. Not until my partner had completed the transaction did they finally give her the cookies (including the one we initially paid for). She asked them why it had taken so long to get the cookies and explained that our children were growing impatient waiting to eat. The cashier told her someone forgot about them. No one took responsibility. No one apologized. And ultimately we had to pay and wait longer for someone else's mistake. Normally I would not even care about this kind of thing, but our toddlers were with us and waiting on their breakfast cookies to eat. They were getting very antsy waiting, and the whole thing could have been avoided or at least apologized for. I'm sad bc I do love this place, but I won't be going back with my family because granolas does not treat customers with respect and is not considerate of people with small children. read more

Great spot for coffee and fresh baked goods. The baked goods are awesome, all made with local fresh ingredients. Well worth the drive!
