Grant is an amazing personal trainer! I have been training with Grant for the past one and a half years and over this time I have improved a lot in terms of building strength. We focussed on weight and functional training and we had a kickboxing/MMA session every Saturday that was a lot of fun. Grant found out about my interest in MMA and wanted to incorporate that in the workout plan he made for me. Apart from that we have regular weigh-ins, discussions about diet and nutrition as well. I remember once that my roomate challenged me to log 50K steps in a day and I was nervous about taking it up but Grant was very supportive and he undertook the challenge with me which we ended up winning ! Grant is honestly unbelievably great at what he does. I was initially very skeptical about working with a personal trainer but Grant was attentive and helpful from the very start. He crafted a unique workout program based on my goals and helped me to achieve those goals. The best thing about training with Grant is that he motivated and pushed me during workouts while making sure that I was using the right posture to prevent injury. I don't even know where to start. Found Grant on Yelp (and I did call 2 other trainers on Yelp) and I decided to go with Grant due to his Yelp reviews. I really liked how people were mentioning he was helpful with giving his clients information just beyond just "working out." And, I am SO GLAD we chose Grant! I was actually looking for a personal trainer for my husband. =) He tore his Achilles Tendon in February 2014, we moved into our first home and got married last year- it was a crazy year and not much time for exercise, especially with his injury. Grant is SO KNOWLEDGEABLE in EVERYTHING that he does. THIS IS KEY! If you want to improve your fitness, you really do have to know your body, be aware of your meals, etc. Grant does ALL OF this! He is just so aware of everything. I love how my husband comes home and tells me things I've been telling him, but he comes home and tells me like he's heard it for the first time. And, even crazier, whatever Grant is telling my husband, it sticks. But more so, my husband FEELS great. He's not only slowly losing the pounds one by one, but he hasn't felt this great in a long time. We initially signed up for 13 sessions for the first round with Grant. And just, last week, he signed up for an additional 10 sessions with Grant. He's just that good. And yes, unlike other trainers, he actually types out everything and e-mails you all the exercises that was done. He's also doing another new App thing where it's easier to look on your phone, too. (I don't have all the details yet, but just want to show how he really does care for his client's well-being.) He does get booked up. I think Grant should advertise as Trainer, Teacher, Life Coach :) He doesn't just train you physically, he teaches you WHY and provides an outlook on life we all need to work harder to embody, how do we make a real difference in the world. I have a friend that is a personal trainer and she recently posted on facebook stating her clients shouldn't ask for their workouts written down for them, as it would put her out of a job. Grant is smarter than that. He believes in enabling you to workout at on your own, is happy to give you your workouts with him, as well as write totally new workouts to do on your own. He honestly cares for his clients, and wants to do everything to help make us successful. I have referred 3 close friends to him, all of whom absolutely love training with him. Recently I asked Grant to help me build the strength/muscle it takes to be crew on a 40ft sailboat. Sometimes it's hard to find someone who you can trust, who truly likes their job and who works to give a higher value service than what you paid for. I think Grant was a once in a lifetime find for me. I've struggled with a nasty back injury and prior sports injuries. I lost all of my core strength and flexibility with muscle spasms and gained 30 pounds due to the inactivity after my biggest injury. I did numerous very very expensive physical therapy programs to no satisfaction. A year and a half later I decided I had to get myself from nothing to something again but in a way that I felt I could achieve my goals and not feeling like I'm throwing crazy amounts of money towards it. I've only seen Grant for about a week now but I can say with confidence that he fits the bill perfectly. He really cares about target attainment that's safe but incredibly effective. I have a program tailored to me that I'm confident with and I don't feel intimidated at all by him or the program because he's very encouraging and has plenty of modifications that get you rolling. I have no question I can make my goals because it's based on science and facts I can see infront of me even with just a few visits. He personally takes me through each visit one on one so he can modify my program as needed as I go. He's extremely knowledgeable in the human body and muscle groups and has been spot on with which muscles I need to work in order to achieve my goals. The program works if you're a seasoned sports freak or if you've never exercised in your life and have issues. He also offers all the one on one coaching you might need or want ranging from diet to home programs, etc. And he'll review periodically for modification to help keep you on track. His product is also something I've never seen offered - after you get to the goal you set with him, you take what you learn from him and can keep doing it on your own if you want. The best personal trainer we have ever worked with! My girlfriend and I were referred to Grant for personal training by one of her friends. We have worked with trainers before but never really got the results we were looking for. My goal was to gain 15lbs of muscle and my girlfriend wanted to work on her legs and abs, or as she put it "get a J-Lo booty". Initially we were going to do paired training but Grant advised us to do 1 on 1 training instead since we had different goals and would have different workout programs. My Two boys (13 and 11) train with Grant. The training is hard and geared toward their sport of choice - soccer. After every session they are beat and say, "This was the toughest training ever."
