I had been under acute pain for days but was avoiding going to a Dentist as I am bit phobic of dental clinics! My colleague recommended Dr. Gill and I set an appointment with Grantline Dental. As I feared I had to get a root canal done. The procedure was explained to me in detail and I was pleasantly surprised as to how little discomfort it caused! I have heard about so many root canal horror stories but this one was smooth, painless and was done in a lil over an hour I think. Dr. Gill came across as a pleasant and efficient person who knows his job well. The staff was courteous and compassionate. Joanna the receptionist is extremely rude. I called inquiring about pricing for a procedure and ended up getting hung up on. She could not give me pricing bc they come up with their own pricing. (Yes, I have insurance and they charge WELL above what my dental insurance states they should be charging) THEY TAX HERE!! Every little thing requires an appointment (so they can bill insurance). When I called her out on it, she hung up on me. It's unfortunate bc Dr. Gill was kind but we will NOT be returning and we will be searching for another dentist. read more

I cracked my back tooth and was left with a sharp corner cutting my tongue! I was seen right away by Dr. Daman Saini. I received top notch care by him and his assistant. After a quick X-ray and exam I was told I needed a crown to protect my tooth, which made sense since a chunk broke off. Front desk did a great job explaining my insurance and my out of pocket cost. I appreciate how there were no hidden fees or upselling. The numbing was quick and easy, and I left with a temporary crown that looked a nice as a real one. I'll be returning in 2 weeks for my permanent crown! Highly recommend this place and Dr. Daman Saini. read more

Recently started working with a company that offers dental and they recommend Grantline Dental and I could not be more pleased with the service they have provided for me. They have been able to schedule my visits during my available hours and I have only had to miss a few hours of work. When I arrived for my schedule appointment we start on time and finish the procedure on time of before hand. I have had to get X-rays, deep cleaning and a crown made for me by them. I haven't been to the dentist for the past five years so my first time back I was a bit nervous but right away they came up with a "game plan" to get smile looking clean again. So far I have no complaints about them and I look forward to having my future visits with them knowing that they will be professional. read more

I took my oldest son there first. There were NO toys in the waiting room to keep the kids busy. My son got his teeth cleaned and I asked the dentist a question and he literally gave me a one word answer. It was as though he did not feel like explaining anything to me and was annoyed. When I took my other son there, he said he had one small cavity and would be sedating him to fiil it. My kids have never had to be sedated for any fillings and they're not afraid of the dentist, so to me it seemed like he just wanted to make it easier for him AND he wanted some extra $$$$$! I never went back there again. I took my son to another dentist and they said he didn't have any cavities!! hmmm...sounds fishy to me!!! read more

I went to grant line dental because they were on my Delta dental plan. First of all they only did x-rays and no cleaning on my first visit. When I requested that they do both for my husbands visit so that he would not have to take 2 days off of work, they said that that was impossible because he may need a deep cleaning. When I explained that we get cleanings every 6 months they still said it was impossible to do both in one visit. After my exam they said I had 4 cavities and that I needed a deep cleaning. I have never had more then 1 cavity when I visit the dentist and then only rarely. They also quoted me for a bridge I needed. It was 50% more then the bridge cost at my dentist last year. I said that I would have to think about it. I took my daughter in for her exam. Again only x-rays and surprise surprise she also has a bunch cavities. I did not schedule the work done because this was starting to seem shady. I just received a letter from my insurance provider saying that my whole family would be better served by another dentist. What is that about. Needless to say I've gone back to my old dentist. He may not be perfect but I don't feel like I'm getting ripped off. read more

Just because you change your Yelp name to Grant Line Dental instead of Grantline Dental, doesn't mean that people won't notice. This was my review that is on the original Yelp page. Just want to make sure I spread the word: After my Delta Dental insurance brought me back to Grantline Dental, I had both of my children go for their check up (cleaning). I had been to their office before, but it just happened to be they were on my insurance list. After being told that my daughter had 12 cavities, I was a little set back. I also noticed that the office staff in it's entirety (front and dental assistants) had changed (5 staff members). I took my daughter to get invisilign started in another office, they called Grantline Dental, they were insistent that I needed to get ALL of my daughters dental work done prior to getting invisilign. I was blown away! Grantline Dental knew my insurance doesn't cover any form of braces, so it was very obvious they wanted me to spend my money in their office. Shady business!!!! I took her to another dentist and they said they only saw 1 cavity. I was very frustrated and went back to Grantline Dental and they said she had "small" cavities between teeth, I repeatedly asked if she had any large cavities? Dr. Gil's wife (who runs the front office) couldn't give me a straight answer. First it was 2, them she said 6 needed to be done. I asked how much?? She said $1,200 for the bottom 3. I ended up walking out and saying that was not going to happen. I got a letter today from my dental insurance company stating that Grantline Dental requested I be referred to another dentist in Delta Dental. Amazing......shady people!! Find another dentist!!! Very nice and clean, Dentist is nice, great for Adults or older kids. Not very good with really young children my 4 year old came out scared and this was his first experience. No toys in waiting room and not very child proof so come prepared to keep little ones occupied. They do not offer prizes or stickers which my children were disappointed with. I have been a patient of this office for quite a few years now and i must say they are the best. From the receptionist to the assistant in the back evrryone is very nice and kind. And Dr. Gill is the best doctor i have seen. He is so polite and kind. All the procedures they do are painfree. They educate you about the importance of good brushing habits. With treatment planning also they always make sure that you are well informed and then make a decision. I was on the verge of getting perio disease when i first came here. But the hygienist and the doctor got me out of it. Everytime i go they all make sure i am on top of my brushing and flossing. I must say they are very passionate about their patients. Joanna is the receptionist there and she will always greet you with a smile. She always engage you so that you feel comfortable and welcome. One thing is that this a very busy office so i always have to plan my appointments in advance. But i dont mind making a slight effort to see them. read more

I took my daughter here and it was our first visit. I am new to town and my insurance assigned us here. The waiting room is kinda blah, if you bring little kids make sure you have something for them to do. This is not really a kid friendly dentist. My daughter was taken back without me. I wanted to go but was told they would come get me right after the xrays. I waited and waited and finally the girl came back and asked if I wanted to be there for the exam? She never came to get me after the xrays. I wanted to be there for the cleaning so I could make sure they didn't put fluoride on her teeth. She went ahead and did. We don't have fluoride added to our kids teeth, ever. When I complained about this, I was rudely told by another receptionist that I should have written that down. I asked the girl why she didn't come get me and another woman pointed at my other children and said "Well who's going to watch all of these kids". I brought my oldest child with me to look after the two 5 year olds while I was with my daughter. The two 5 year olds were sitting quietly playing with their Lego's. They were not being a problem and the older child was sufficiently old enough to care for them in a waiting room. I am so angry about that comment. I have never taken my kids to a dentist office and not been allowed to be in the back with them. I'm livid about the fluoride. The lady who cleaned her teeth told me it was REQUIRED for kids under 18. When I asked "required by whom?" she rolled her eyes and got up and walked away, saying "It's good for her". I'm not sure who she thinks she is. I never got an apology or anything for not coming to get me after the xrays. And, my girl needed a cavity filled, our insurance covers all but $4.00 of a cavity filling. They wanted to charge me an extra $68 per cavity for a desensitizer. I've never heard of such a thing. The Dentist himself was very nice but his rude assistants are costing him business. I called another dentist in town and I was told that the desensitizer is only supposed to be for very severe cases when the teeth are very sensitive. They are just trying to make extra money read more

This dental office is the epitome of horror movie dental office, the receptionists are soo rude and when i say rude they are at the top of the list. They got all our appointments mixed up, and instead of apologizing for their mistake they blamed me for not paying attention when I was making my appointment thus making it all my fault... talk about customer service. They were recommending treatments that were unecessary ( like having my 7 yr old have a root canal when his tooth was not even hurting! red flag!) So I cancelled all our appointments the next day realizing that this dental office was totally trying to milk me on top of them acting rude towards me, so this mexican receptionist said i have to pay a $48 cancellation fee because i cancelled within the 48 hr window, and i said "seriously i just made the appointment yesterday" and there she goes again spoke back to me so rudely telling me that they will call my insurance and let them know i am not coming back there, I was just so shocked that i hung up on her. Poor dentist he doesnt have any clue how the people he hired to receive his patients have no ethics when it comes to customer service! Good Riddance! read more

This was one of several local dentists on my adult daughter's insurance. She first went to a dental group in Manteca at the Stadium Center. They told her she needed five fillings and an extraction of her wisdom teeth. Dr. Gill, the dentist at Grantline, told her she did NOT need her wisdom teeth pulled and had only 1 significant cavity, saving about $3200! As a result, both my wife and I will see Dr. Gill shortly.
