Cucumber Martini

Will come again! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Friends and I stopped in for a late dinner and the staff kept us informed of the kitchen closing so we could get some food. Super nice and accommodating. Food was delicious. Shareable plates are a good size for one person if you're not super hungry for a big plate. Drinks were equally great! Try out their mocktails too. Super refreshing all around.

Happy hour menu 5/29/26

Been wanting to check out the rooftop area so we came here for happy hour. Once we sat down, we were told the happy hour menu is only served on the first floor in the bar. We had sweet potato fries, thick cut French fries, basic cheeseburger, village burger and hefeweizen from a local brewery. The food was tasty and I can tell the care they put in the food with quality ingredients and nice touch of fresh herbs with the fries. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is beautiful. A very nice spot in Pasadena.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is on point. I'd come back again for happy hour and regular meal.

Seated at the bar at Happy hour. Was greeted and asked what I would like order after 3 mins. Brussels sprouts were good! Finish my time at happy hour and went upstairs on rooftop to order a meal and was seated right away! Took a min for the waiter to greet me but by the time she came, I was ready to order and she brought me water. I didn't know the peri peri sauce on chicken was a little spicy, I'm picky so I didn't like the sauce too much and scooter over to the side and the broccolini was super salty. 4 star bc of this but other than that, [[HIGHLIGHT]]restaurant felt clean, nice and staff was friendly![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Had such a great time at Granville! It was my first time visiting I came for dinner and sat at the bar. My friend and I were really well taken care of; the bartenders were super friendly, took our order promptly, and checked in on us throughout the night. I ordered the pork chop, which was incredibly flavorful and delicious. The mashed potatoes were nice and creamy, and the spinach had an amazing lemon and garlic flavor so good. The ambiance is also really nice, with low lighting that makes it perfect for any occasion, plus TVs if you want to catch a game.

This is really a 3.5. Great spot for a nice lunch or dinner! I've been to a few locations and the ambiance at this location is really lovely, especially on the rooftop. The food is decent, maybe a little overpriced for what it is and given all of the fast casual places around here, but it would be good for a business or nicer lunch on a weekday or a date night. My favorite is the Santa Barbara chicken sandwich. The service is friendly and professional, but is pretty slow. I've probably been here 25+ times over the years and always had to wait at every stage of the process. Last time I went, we waited about 10 minutes just for someone to approach us and offer us water. Maybe just chronically understaffed? Important to note: this location does not take reservations and it gets pretty crowded on the weekends for brunch/lunch, so plan accordingly :)

We really enjoyed eating here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place has excellent views whether you're eating upstairs or downstairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food did take a little long but as you could probably tell from the pictures, they were worth the wait. The noodles in the pasta were like the perfect consistency which is something I always take note of. Their Ahi tasted very fresh and I would gladly dine here again anytime!

I came here with six of my cousins for a "Mom's dinner," so we were a party of seven. One of them suggested Granville, and it's definitely a spot you can't miss--it's on a corner with plenty of street parking, plus a lot behind the restaurant. We went on a Saturday night, so we expected a wait and ended up waiting just over an hour. Once seated, our drinks arrived quickly. I wasn't drinking alcohol but ordered a mocktail called Elixir (granny smith apple, cucumber, thyme and coriander shrub, lemon juice). It was not only beautifully presented but also delicious! The vibe inside is amazing. Even though it was packed, it wasn't overly loud, so we could easily chat at our table. Our server, Jose S., was fantastic--helpful with recommendations, attentive without being rushed, and made small talk that felt genuine. For my meal, I ordered the Bacon and Blue Burger: wagyu beef, sustainable cane duroc bacon, Point Reyes aged blue cheese, port wine reduction, horseradish aioli, caramelized onions, mushrooms, arugula, on a brioche bun, served with house potato chips. Every bite was incredible! If you like blue cheese and mushrooms, this is a must-try. The wagyu beef was so flavorful. Others in my party had the steak, a salad, and chicken--everything was just as tasty. We'll definitely be coming back!

Granville Skirt Steak & Thick-Cut Pork Chop

We love this place! We used to be locals and we now drive to have it for date night. The pork chop is nicely seasoned, and our favorite, the mashed potatoes! The skirt steak was seasoned and tender as well. The service is always great and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant offers a rooftop area to dine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're looking for a good dinner spot, this is the place!

Jessica L.

The skirt steak and pasta was yummy! We also tried the mac and cheese and that was pretty popular among our table too. Drinks were pretty solid and [[HIGHLIGHT]]we like the ambiance of the rooftop at night[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], the waiter was very helpful accommodating out our large party of 10

My friends and I were looking for a rooftop bar nearby and came across this spot! Such a good find! They don't take reservations, but the wait wasn't bad at all. We went on a Saturday around 7pm. There was no wait for the downstairs area but since we wanted to be at the rooftop, we waited about 30 minutes for a table. The vibe is super cute and the service was really friendly. The drinks were all great, but the food was just okay. A few of us ordered the wagyu stroganoff and the meat was tender and flavorful, and our server gave us a heads up about the horseradish, which we really appreciated. The portions were huge, so we couldn't even finish. One of my friends ordered the spicy pasta and it was a bit disappointing. It had heat, but not much flavor. Even with a high spice tolerance, it tasted like straight crushed red pepper the whole time. Overall, definitely worth it for the ambiance and drinks!

They have great deals for dineLA. The poke bowl is delicious and very light as well, with fruit and avocado tossed in. Get their Mac and cheese side, you won't be disappointed. Ambiance and aesthetic is more upscale casual. Service is also great as the servers come and check in on you very often

Bacon & Blue Burger

Amazing restaurant with rooftop seating. Don't worry, there's an elevator. Our party of six got seated pretty quickly for a Sunday afternoon. The waiter was very attentive. We ordered appetizers and drinks , chatted a bit, then ordered dinner. The food came out together, not great timing but luckily there was room on the table. My black and blue burger was outstanding. The bacon, wish I had a pound of it. The flavor was like no other. I ordered my burger well and it was a bit undercooked for my taste but I didn't bother sending it back. Did I mention how delicious the bacon was. YUMMY. The fries, both white and sweet potato made a great side. Nice crisp on the outside. Would definitely recommend and return when in California again.

I'm a second-generation Irish-American from New York, and St. Patrick's Day has always meant something in my family. Growing up it was about heritage, family, and a little joy. Now that I have two daughters of my own -- very Irish-looking girls who are proud of their roots -- I wanted them to experience some of that same Irish pub spirit. So on St. Patrick's Day 2025, I took them to Griffin's of Kinsale in South Pasadena. They were so excited to be there -- the decorations, the music, the feeling of a real Irish pub. For a moment I thought, this is going to be a great memory for them. We came early because it was a school night. The restaurant was busy -- which is understandable on St. Patrick's Day. I ordered three salmon dinners for my daughters and myself. The bill came to about $150. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Over an hour and a half. During that entire time: * No one warned us the kitchen was backed up when we ordered. * No one checked on our table. * No updates. * No communication at all. Had someone simply said "Just so you know, food may take an hour or more tonight," I could have made a different decision -- especially with two kids who had school the next morning. Instead we sat downstairs watching the clock while the evening disappeared. By the end of the night my daughters -- who had been so excited walking in -- were tired, hungry, and miserable. When I asked to speak with a manager, no one came. No explanation. No apology. Restaurants get slammed on holidays. Kitchens fall behind. That happens. But ignoring a table for 90 minutes -- especially a family with children -- isn't a busy night. It's bad management. What should have been a fun St. Patrick's Day memory for my daughters turned into a long, uncomfortable evening where we felt completely invisible. For a place that trades so heavily on Irish identity and hospitality, this was about as far from hospitality as you can get. Save your $150 and celebrate St. Patrick's Day somewhere that actually wants you there. And if management would like to explain how a family ends up waiting 90 minutes with no communication, I'd genuinely be interested to hear it.

The restaurant itself isn't too big but it does a pack a nice punch. Cute patio out front that takes some of the sidewalks and streets. Plenty of heat lamps which helped with the chilly nights. We got seated at one of the tables on the patios which was nice. Didn't really utilize inside area except for the restroom which it's quite cute in there. The rooms were pretty well decorated and executed. Nice bar area too. Like mentioned, we got seated on the patio and the heat lamps were great. Down to the menus, it's quite limited on dishes. Seemed like there were more shared plates versus the entrees. Drinks, it was fairly decent with their cocktails and wine. Service at the beginning was great. The staff were amazing and very friendly. We didn't order right away as we were still waiting for the last one to show. But did start off with some drinks. It didn't take that long for the first round which was nice. Food wise, the shared plate was a mixture of everything. Some of the olives, which is exactly what it is. The Belgian fries, nice thick cut fries with shredded pecorino cheese and a nice aioli sauce. We ended up getting a second order of it. The albacore tuna crudo was a hit which was really tasty. Chili ginger relish, mint and shallot, can't go wrong with that. Lastly the meatballs, tasty and very great for sharing. Entrees, the pan seared sea bass which I loved. Portion is pretty tiny which also seemed like they were a shared plate. Almost tapas styled. Nice chimichurri sauce and a side salad. The chicken Milanese also with a side salad of arugula. Simple dish but quite tasty. One of the salads that was somewhat hyped up by the waitress but it was just a salad. Decent but nothing major to rave about...lol... also the confit oyster mushrooms was major hit. Something that simple but quite tasty. And lastly the pan con tomate, rustic sourdough with tomatoes and burrata. Tasty as well. Overall the meal was good. From there, the second round of drinks did take a long time to arrive and with then plates that we shared, trying to get someone to clear the plates was another thing. Took a long for someone to clear the table before more items came. Even when the entrees came, all the empty starter plates were still there. And if someone did clear the plates, some was still left on the table. Finishing off the night, we did have the dessert which we tried all three. As it was two of our girlfriends birthday, they brought out a little bubbly for us to celebrate with the dessert. That was quite sweet and nice. Honestly opinion with the dessert, they were just ok. Nothing major to rave about. We tried all three on the menu and they were just ok. Overall, the food was great. Service was nice and the staffs were all very friendly. It did take a while for plates to get cleared from the table and second round did take a while, but it was manageable. It was a sweet gesture with the bubbly with the dessert which was greatly appreciated. The place is nice and great for catching up. Menu is limited and portions are quite small. The flavor was good enough to slurp the juices out. single burger, prime chuck, tillamook cheddar, dijonaise, egg brioche bun & crispy french fries - good meaty burger, love the dijonaise, GREAT shoestring fries. Parking is a little challenging during the day, not so bad in the evening. It's South Pas, a little neighborhood walk after dinner never hurts.
