Finally, a proper rooftop spot in Pasadena! The atmosphere and views at Osa Rooftop are 10/10. You have to get the King Salmon Crudo and the Beef Carpaccio, both were exceptional. The drinks were good too , we got the Rosedena cocktail and the Merry Roses mocktail Great food, amazing ambiance, and attentive service.

We came here for our anniversary and were honestly disappointed by the overall experience. when we walked in the views were beautiful as we knew they would be and we were sat right at the time of our reservation, but when we sat down, the host told us we could only be there for an hour and a half , which is fine but something we didn't know ahead of time. When making the reservation open table asked if we were celebrating anything and we had decided to come here to celebrate our three year anniversary and we mentioned our anniversary on the reservation, but no one said anything to us which was a little disappointing. Usually if someone is asking if you're celebrating something it is so they can bring you out a card, champagne, dessert, or at least acknowledge it and no one said anything to us or gave us anything :( The food was absolutely delicious. We got the hamburger and the Seabass and both tasted 10/10 but we ordered truffle fries with the hamburger and it came with regular fries which they did bring out a replacement of truffle fries for after, but that was a little disappointing, and my Sea-bass was sooo small- it looked half the size of the two plates next to me because the women on either side of me ordered Seabass as well. I ordered the Rosedale cocktail and it tasted great but another weird instance of everyone getting a different serving size because my cocktail glass was twice as large as the woman to my right who ordered the same thing in what looked like a mini glass, but was the same order. We were both so confused hers looked like they were 4oz of liquid in a mini glass. We also ordered our drinks right when we got there especially since there was that time crunch and we wanted to enjoy our time, but the drinks did not arrive for 35 minutes and they said that there was only one bartender working so it would be a little bit, backed up, but sitting there with no drink for 35 minutes and they weren't even filling up our water was very disappointing. Then when they finally did bring our drinks 35 minutes after we got there, they arrived with the food so we didn't get to enjoy our drinks before beforehand like we were hoping to. The table next to us also got their food and the person that dropped it off left right away while they were calling to him because there were no forks so they had to wait like three minutes to eat their food because they had no forks in their rolled silverware on the table. The 2 parties on either side of us and my boyfriend and I felt so dumbfounded by all of this. It was clear everyone was disappointed and frustrated. I feel like this place has so much potential because the views and ambience are beautiful and the food was truly delicious in terms of taste, but they need to work on Service, acknowledging celebrations if they're inviting people to celebrate with them, and working on portion size, because it was disappointing to have the smallest piece of Seabass that we paid a lot of money for and see Seabass servings on my left and right that were literally twice the size Don't think we would come back here but 3 stars for delicious food and pretty setting

Osa is currently the city's only one and it delivers on every level. From start to finish, the service was amazing the staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience effortless. The highlight of our meal was a quick menu swap: we ordered the $28 Wagyu burger and replaced the standard fries with their crispy Brussels sprouts tossed in Aleppo chili and almonds. Incredible move. But the unexpected star of the night? The Wagyu and pork meatballs in vodka sauce. Inside, the vibe is effortlessly relaxed, complete with panoramic views of the San Gabriel Mountains. If you're dining with a group, round out the spread with the chili-crisp salmon crudo and persimmon burrata salad. What I'd recommend: Timing: Book outdoor seating right around sunset. Drinks: Pair the view with a Penicillin or Lemon Drop martini. Dessert: Leave room for the gelato to wrap up the night. Hands down one of my favorite spots in Pasadena definitely save this post for your next date night out!

Waiter was extremely kind and profesional. We ordered a few drinks and left but I would come back for the service and views alone.

Located right at the top of the AC Hotel, this spot delivers epic vibes all around. It's an awesome place to just chill with friends and take in the fantastic views of the San Gabriel Mountains. Come at sunset for an even better view. While the food menu is relatively small, the dishes are decent, and the refreshing cocktails definitely make up for it. We got the burger and the steak. Everything was tasty and reasonably priced for a rooftop restaurant. I suggest upgrading the fries to truffle fries. We also swapped another set of fries for brussels sprouts and that was the right move. Service was fine and kept the night moving smoothly. Just make sure to grab a reservation beforehand to make your life easier. Highly recommend for a night out!

I was really excited for this one went for my husband's birthday, and the rooftop views/sunset are gorgeous, no complaints there. But the service just wasn't it. We had a 7:45 reservation and got there around 7:20 to walk around first, but didn't actually get seated until almost 8. While we were still standing there waiting for a table, a waitress came up and took our drink orders, then brought the drinks over to where we were just sitting on the lounge chair waiting with a bunch of other waiting parties. Kind of a weird start. Once we finally sat down, it didn't really get better. There wasn't one waitress checking on us I had to flag down whoever walked by just to get water, place our order, anything. It took a while just to get someone to take our order, and she had to come back later because she forgot a pen. Our sodas came out at 7:40, but we didn't get our food until 8:40 -- a full hour later -- so by the time we could actually sit down and eat, the sodas were completely watered down from sitting there melting. No one ever came by to offer new ones. Food also just got dropped off at the table without anyone saying what it was or asking who ordered what, so we were left guessing whose plate was whose. At one point a food runner dropped a drink, and it was not cleaned it up properly. The floor was still slippery afterwards as you'd walk to the bathroom. The bathrooms were also pretty dirty, with paper towels left all over the counters and floor. We got there at 7:20 and didn't leave until 10pm, and a lot of that time was spent waiting or trying to get someone's attention. I get they're still new, and I do wish them the best the food was good and the space itself is beautiful. But for a birthday dinner, I wanted it to feel a little more put together than it did. Hoping they get the service side figured out, because the bones of this place are genuinely nice.

Such a wonderful place, delicious food, i think that they don't serve anything bad, everything we try was just really great, their alcohol menu is also big and their wine menu it's great, sitting space is a little difficult after 7 pm so I suggest to make a reservation, the staff seem very busy that day and almost everything was taking it's time, also the place is very pretty and their views are just amazing.

My parents and I loved this spot for rooftop brunch. The food was fresh and plated nicely. The spitz tree was unique. For appetizers, we enjoyed the Turkish eggs, oysters and salmon crudo. The mains of lobster roll and steak frites were good too. The service was amazing. Our waitress was patient and friendly. The views were spectacular. I recommend this place !

We loved our experience at OSA Rooftop in Pasadena! The atmosphere is such a vibe, with beautiful rooftop views, great energy, and the perfect setting for a fun dinner. Everything we tried was delicious. We started with the salmon crudo and oysters, both super fresh and flavorful. The peach burrata salad was such a good combination of sweet, creamy, and refreshing. My favorite was definitely the steak & frites. The steak was cooked perfectly and the fries were so good! Between the amazing food, good vibes, and beautiful views, OSA Rooftop is definitely a spot I'd come back to. Highly recommend!

The food and vibe here are both excellent. Got to join the team here for their first year anniversary, and we got to try a couple delicious and inventive drinks and some bites/dessert. The first drink I tried was the desert sun, which had a lovely kick to it and was super refreshing to boot. I then tried a delish caviar and fish dish they had put together with some crunch, a North Carolina oyster (so good), and a mini tostada. Everything was to die for, particularly the caviar dish - and I'm not normally a caviar guy! The second drink I tried was a triple cali spritz, which was very fruit forward, which I'm a fan of. We also got to try a fantastic wagyu and pork meatball, which was like the best elevated version of a Salisbury steak you could have. We chased all of this with an espresso vodka ice cream. Everything was seriously great, and all were basically mini versions of the food they serve here. Highly recommended :) Didn't even get into the atmosphere yet! This place is beautiful and in a little easier place to park in Pasadena. A super chill hang and plenty of shade available when it gets hot. Come for the food, come for the vibe, just come on out!

Met up a friend for lunch and the vibes were very chill. We got French toast, Turkish eggs a side of bacon and chilaquiles. Everything was delicious, especially the Turkish eggs. The service was quick and friendly. Good food, with a nice view, what more could I ask for.

First off, as stated, this is a rooftop restaurant, although there's not much of a "view" aside from some Pasadena buildings but just being outdoors is lovely and we had a great time! Servers were great, very attentive and helpful with any requests we had. We were very indecisive so it was great that they gave us time and suggestions as well. All of the food was great. Our top choices on the food, I would say were the steak n frites and the chilaquiles verdes, although all of the food were ordered was good and presented very nicely. Price wise, I think it really depends on what you buy, were were all satisfied with the prices.

@osarooftop in Pasadena gorgeous views!! Still thinking about last night What an incredibly beautiful space with romantic vibes!!! This rooftop bar and restaurant is located above the AC Hotel by Marriott. When you step in you are transported to another realm. One that feels warm, calm, inviting and intimate. We ordered some tapas and tried some of their cocktails. All so delicious! But the real attraction is experiencing it all together with the views, the string lights hung all around you and even a film displayed off a projector on the side wall just made it all feel like you were in a movie! Perfect for celebrating a special occasion, going on a date or to catch up with friends! Our server Daniel was amazing, and so informative! He made our night even more special.

Ask the Community - Osa Rooftop

Is Osa going to have a special menu or event for Valentines Day 2026?

I would call and ask or go to their website

    Are kids allowed?

They are but there's no special kid menu or anything.

Do I need to make reservation?

    It's suggested. I definitely would.

What is the dress code like?

Casual but doesn't hurt to dress nice ;)

    Is there Vegan options?

    Yes.

    Are dogs allowed?

    Service animals only

Is it okay to smoke cigars?

No. Pasadena has strict no smoking laws

    Is it reservation only?

You can walk up but would recommend coming early, the later it is the busier it gets. They also have a bar area you can just walk up to if not getting dinner.

    Is there a menu?

Yes. Check the Yelp site or website.

I was pleasantly surprised when I sent an email to the address on the website and received a reply with the password in a little over thirty minutes. After parking, we didn't have any problems finding the entrance even though it is not marked. Look for the big wood double doors and doorman standing in front. After giving him the password, he opened the doors and we walked in. We were surprised in several ways. The place is way bigger than I would expect for a place named "The Speakeasy". And at 6:30pm on a Sunday, we were the only guests inside. Only one other couple came in during the 30 minutes we were there. I would assume they are a lot busier on Friday and Saturday night. It is dimly lit, and very red inside. The bar is large with many bottles of liquor on display and many seats. The rest of the space is one large area that must have at least 20 tables, and the ceiling is high. It gives off more of a nightclub vibe than a speakeasy vibe. I tried the Naked & Famous cocktail which has two of my favorite spirits (Vida mezcal, aperol, yellow Chartreuse, lime, $18). It was nicely balanced with a good mix of smoke and herbal flavor. She had the Pablo's Poison (Altos reposado tequila, strawberry, lime, jalapeno, elderflower, $17). The jalapeno flavor really stood out with strawberry and elderflower in the background. They have a good cocktail menu with almost twenty cocktails, as well as a food menu with ten items. Walk up to the bar to order your drinks. Jeremy, the manager, and the female bartender whose name who I didn't get were nice. We aren't in Pasadena very often, and while they have a good cocktail menu, I don't know if we would return. We were expecting more.

When we walked in, there was a tall, bald male bartender and a blonde female bartender working--neither of whom I've seen here before. We ordered two drinks, but the service from the male bartender was inattentive from the start. At one point, my friend tried to get someone's attention to ask for a lime and wasn't acknowledged. She ended up grabbing a lime herself from the garnish tray--which I understand isn't ideal--but the response we got was completely out of line. The male bartender became immediately hostile and started aggressively cursing at my friend. When I calmly asked the female bartender if this was normal behavior, he inserted himself into the conversation and said, "she put her fucking hand in the fucking jar," in a very confrontational tone. I tried to de-escalate the situation and respectfully explained that there was no reason to speak to us that way, but he continued the hostility and ultimately told us to "get the fuck out." At that point, I paid for our drinks and we left. What made this especially disappointing is that this has never been our experience here before. We've always enjoyed this bar and have had positive interactions with the regular staff. If this had been my first visit, I would not come back. I understand that what my friend did wasn't appropriate, but it absolutely did not justify being yelled at and cursed out. I hope management addresses this, because this kind of behavior is not reflective of the bar I've come to know.

Waiter Manuel. This…read moreis a review reflected on you, solely. Being kind is the moral of the story, from the beginning you were passive agressive with your comments and tone. Being in a party of 4 girls coming from high tea, we were dressed in elegant dresses, first comment was asking if we were coming from church, followed by eye flutters, short "okay" with an upward inflation to a joke about the day, an impatient comment about hurrying up and trying the wine while we were talking, asked for water when we were out, were left to pour the rest of our wine, didn't ask how the food was all the while was attentive to the table behind us, the cherry on top comment was when we were discussing the bill at the end, he was hovering at the table behind ours, then when we were ready, we asked to split the bill into 2, my portion on mine and the rest on another card, he then said "this isn't like a drive through, we can't do it that way" so I asked him to explain his comment, cause it was passive agressive and rude. After he wasnt able to becuase he wasnt expecting me to call out his rude comment, I had to then break it down and specify what I had ordered, he then sold "okayyyy....so how much, cause we don't itemize?" I had to again express for him to specify how they do it cause he has still yet to explain where his attitude is coming from and explain how they do their check splits, from my understanding it just felt like he wanted to play dumb and make me to the math, one I did he was like "ohh, okay" should have asked for the manager but we paid and left, I hasnt had this experience before being a returning customer, but he needs an attitude adjustment as his attitude was completely out of pocket. Do better Manuel, you alone got your place of work a 1 star. The rest of the staff was kind, facility beautiful and food and wine was good. This restaurant is not reflected in the 1 star.

This bar is tucked inside Vroman's Bookstore (already one of the most charming and iconic bookstores in the area) so the entire experience feels like stepping into a warm, literary universe. You can browse for a new book, take in the bookstore's atmosphere, and then walk straight into the bar. Honestly, it's the perfect outing. What makes 1894 truly special is how intentionally it celebrates literature. Everything in the bar pays homage to the bookstore. The drink menu is full of clever, book-inspired names. You'll find cocktails like Pride and PearJudice Pride, Fifty Shades of Earl Grey, and other fun literary twists. Every drink feels like a little wink to readers, writers, and book lovers, and it adds such a unique charm to the experience. The vibe is super quaint and warm, dim lighting, and a creative atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. The wine is on the pricier side ($19-$21 per glass), but the quality delivers. Customer service was excellent. One of the bartenders spent time chatting with us. He pointed out a chalk artwork behind the bar a dramatic portrait he drew himself featuring expressive, literary-style faces, like Edgar Allan Poe, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, etc. It fits perfectly with the creative, bookish aesthetic of the bar. If you're into books, wine, and unique experiences, 1894 is a spot you absolutely can't miss. Perfect for a date, a solo unwind-with-a-book moment, or a fun night with friends who appreciate a good story and a great drink.

Once you walk in, the vibe instantly transforms into a sexy and luxurious space with dim lighting, cushioned seats, and interesting artwork hanging on the wall. They have quite a few drinks on their menu. I like how the menu highlights the flavors of each cocktail so it makes it easier to find a drink that will suite your tastes. We ordered the beauty and the beast and friends and neighbors drink. Both cocktails tasted very light and delicious. On top of that, the beauty and the beast drink comes in a cute rose shaped glass which matches the name perfectly! The servers were very attentive and would check in on us periodically. They also give you some chips that you can munch on while enjoying your drink. This spot is perfect for a date or girls night out! I definitely want to come back and try their other drinks!

Go downstairs, whether by stairs or elevator... where there are multiple bathrooms. And ask the nearest person how to get to Ladies and Gentlemen, to be let in. Fun, and whimsical, and definitely a space with a theme. First and more importantly, the cocktails and the food is definitely quality. And they will charge you quality pricing for the luxuriousness of it all. Seating, tables, candles, ambiance. I mean, the walls lined up with crafted skulls ain't gonna pay for itself. The staff is friendly, and helpful. And classy. The places oozes class. A great place to chat and catch up with friends. Where the ambient noise isn't so loud that you really need to raise your voice to talk. As a single person who came with a book to read and study... it's dim lighting so I had to make use of candlelight. This really is meant to be more of a social spot. I came in on a weekday to catch the Suntory promotion, which came with some nice collectibles to pair with your highball. I feel like every cocktail I've had here so far has a great sense of balance and technique. I'll probably come back and try their omakase course of cocktails at some point. Is it "kami no glass?" (The Glass of God) - I haven't found one that has touched my soul to that extent, but they do have an extensive list to explore. The food menu consists of luxurious bites from burrata, crudo, bone marrow, oysters, and the like. Gourmet pairings for your expensive tastes.
