    Bar downstairs

Seated at the bar at Happy hour. Was greeted and asked what I would like order after 3 mins. Brussels sprouts were good! Finish my time at happy hour and went upstairs on rooftop to order a meal and was seated right away! Took a min for the waiter to greet me but by the time she came, I was ready to order and she brought me water. I didn't know the peri peri sauce on chicken was a little spicy, I'm picky so I didn't like the sauce too much and scooter over to the side and the broccolini was super salty. 4 star bc of this but other than that, restaurant felt clean, nice and staff was friendly!

Been wanting to check out the rooftop area so we came here for happy hour. Once we sat down, we were told the happy hour menu is only served on the first floor in the bar. We had sweet potato fries, thick cut French fries, basic cheeseburger, village burger and hefeweizen from a local brewery. The food was tasty and I can tell the care they put in the food with quality ingredients and nice touch of fresh herbs with the fries. The restaurant is beautiful. A very nice spot in Pasadena. Service is on point. I'd come back again for happy hour and regular meal.

We really enjoyed eating here. This place has excellent views whether you're eating upstairs or downstairs. The food did take a little long but as you could probably tell from the pictures, they were worth the wait. The noodles in the pasta were like the perfect consistency which is something I always take note of. Their Ahi tasted very fresh and I would gladly dine here again anytime!

Had such a great time at Granville! It was my first time visiting I came for dinner and sat at the bar. My friend and I were really well taken care of; the bartenders were super friendly, took our order promptly, and checked in on us throughout the night. I ordered the pork chop, which was incredibly flavorful and delicious. The mashed potatoes were nice and creamy, and the spinach had an amazing lemon and garlic flavor so good. The ambiance is also really nice, with low lighting that makes it perfect for any occasion, plus TVs if you want to catch a game.

We love this place! We used to be locals and we now drive to have it for date night. The pork chop is nicely seasoned, and our favorite, the mashed potatoes! The skirt steak was seasoned and tender as well. The service is always great and the restaurant offers a rooftop area to dine. If you're looking for a good dinner spot, this is the place!

The skirt steak and pasta was yummy! We also tried the mac and cheese and that was pretty popular among our table too. Drinks were pretty solid and we like the ambiance of the rooftop at night, the waiter was very helpful accommodating out our large party of 10

This is really a 3.5. Great spot for a nice lunch or dinner! I've been to a few locations and the ambiance at this location is really lovely, especially on the rooftop. The food is decent, maybe a little overpriced for what it is and given all of the fast casual places around here, but it would be good for a business or nicer lunch on a weekday or a date night. My favorite is the Santa Barbara chicken sandwich. The service is friendly and professional, but is pretty slow. I've probably been here 25+ times over the years and always had to wait at every stage of the process. Last time I went, we waited about 10 minutes just for someone to approach us and offer us water. Maybe just chronically understaffed? Important to note: this location does not take reservations and it gets pretty crowded on the weekends for brunch/lunch, so plan accordingly :)

I came here with six of my cousins for a "Mom's dinner," so we were a party of seven. One of them suggested Granville, and it's definitely a spot you can't miss--it's on a corner with plenty of street parking, plus a lot behind the restaurant. We went on a Saturday night, so we expected a wait and ended up waiting just over an hour. Once seated, our drinks arrived quickly. I wasn't drinking alcohol but ordered a mocktail called Elixir (granny smith apple, cucumber, thyme and coriander shrub, lemon juice). It was not only beautifully presented but also delicious! The vibe inside is amazing. Even though it was packed, it wasn't overly loud, so we could easily chat at our table. Our server, Jose S., was fantastic--helpful with recommendations, attentive without being rushed, and made small talk that felt genuine. For my meal, I ordered the Bacon and Blue Burger: wagyu beef, sustainable cane duroc bacon, Point Reyes aged blue cheese, port wine reduction, horseradish aioli, caramelized onions, mushrooms, arugula, on a brioche bun, served with house potato chips. Every bite was incredible! If you like blue cheese and mushrooms, this is a must-try. The wagyu beef was so flavorful. Others in my party had the steak, a salad, and chicken--everything was just as tasty. We'll definitely be coming back!

My friends and I were looking for a rooftop bar nearby and came across this spot! Such a good find! They don't take reservations, but the wait wasn't bad at all. We went on a Saturday around 7pm. There was no wait for the downstairs area but since we wanted to be at the rooftop, we waited about 30 minutes for a table. The vibe is super cute and the service was really friendly. The drinks were all great, but the food was just okay. A few of us ordered the wagyu stroganoff and the meat was tender and flavorful, and our server gave us a heads up about the horseradish, which we really appreciated. The portions were huge, so we couldn't even finish. One of my friends ordered the spicy pasta and it was a bit disappointing. It had heat, but not much flavor. Even with a high spice tolerance, it tasted like straight crushed red pepper the whole time. Overall, definitely worth it for the ambiance and drinks!

They have great deals for dineLA. The poke bowl is delicious and very light as well, with fruit and avocado tossed in. Get their Mac and cheese side, you won't be disappointed. Ambiance and aesthetic is more upscale casual. Service is also great as the servers come and check in on you very often

Amazing restaurant with rooftop seating. Don't worry, there's an elevator. Our party of six got seated pretty quickly for a Sunday afternoon. The waiter was very attentive. We ordered appetizers and drinks , chatted a bit, then ordered dinner. The food came out together, not great timing but luckily there was room on the table. My black and blue burger was outstanding. The bacon, wish I had a pound of it. The flavor was like no other. I ordered my burger well and it was a bit undercooked for my taste but I didn't bother sending it back. Did I mention how delicious the bacon was. YUMMY. The fries, both white and sweet potato made a great side. Nice crisp on the outside. Would definitely recommend and return when in California again.

Service is great the food tastes great and they do have a email promotion sign up so before you go be sure to sign up for that so that you are on their mailing list the restaurant itself is not large or huge there's a couple seating area there's a bar area there's a rooftop area and then a couple tables along the side if you want to people watch on the street that would be a good place to sit and the outside seating is pet friendly so that is a huge plus if you have a dog one of the restrooms was out of order during the time we went so they actually had to have a bathroom attendant to guide people in and out of the restroom

I'm a second-generation Irish-American from New York, and St. Patrick's Day has always meant something in my family. Growing up it was about heritage, family, and a little joy. Now that I have two daughters of my own -- very Irish-looking girls who are proud of their roots -- I wanted them to experience some of that same Irish pub spirit. So on St. Patrick's Day 2025, I took them to Griffin's of Kinsale in South Pasadena. They were so excited to be there -- the decorations, the music, the feeling of a real Irish pub. For a moment I thought, this is going to be a great memory for them. We came early because it was a school night. The restaurant was busy -- which is understandable on St. Patrick's Day. I ordered three salmon dinners for my daughters and myself. The bill came to about $150. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Over an hour and a half. During that entire time: * No one warned us the kitchen was backed up when we ordered. * No one checked on our table. * No updates. * No communication at all. Had someone simply said "Just so you know, food may take an hour or more tonight," I could have made a different decision -- especially with two kids who had school the next morning. Instead we sat downstairs watching the clock while the evening disappeared. By the end of the night my daughters -- who had been so excited walking in -- were tired, hungry, and miserable. When I asked to speak with a manager, no one came. No explanation. No apology. Restaurants get slammed on holidays. Kitchens fall behind. That happens. But ignoring a table for 90 minutes -- especially a family with children -- isn't a busy night. It's bad management. What should have been a fun St. Patrick's Day memory for my daughters turned into a long, uncomfortable evening where we felt completely invisible. For a place that trades so heavily on Irish identity and hospitality, this was about as far from hospitality as you can get. Save your $150 and celebrate St. Patrick's Day somewhere that actually wants you there. And if management would like to explain how a family ends up waiting 90 minutes with no communication, I'd genuinely be interested to hear it.

As a I grew up in Highland Park I took my wife to visit The Arroyo Club bar to celebrate her recent promotion after the bar was recommended to us by a close friend. We were looking forward to a fun evening and decided to participate in the trivia game being hosted that night. After receiving an answer sheet from the host, Matt, my wife and I began playing. The trivia topic was based on an older television show that we were unfamiliar with, and we initially used our phones to look up answers. A male individual approached us and informed us that using our phones was considered cheating. We accepted that explanation, stopped using our phones, and continued playing. Later in the evening, I observed bartender Justin speaking with the same individual and appearing to provide him with answers. When I questioned how that was different from what we had been told not to do, Justin stated that it was not cheating because they were part of a group. I responded that it was only a game and not a serious issue, especially considering my wife and I had only accumulated a few points. At that point, the interaction became uncomfortable. Justin informed the host that my wife and I should be disqualified for cheating, despite the fact that we had stopped using our phones when instructed. The employee who had originally confronted us also became increasingly confrontational, which my wife and I found intimidating. I later asked another bartender, Zach, what the concern was, and he explained that the winning prize was $50. While I understand the importance of maintaining fair rules, the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily hostile and embarrassing. What made the experience even more disappointing was that we appeared to be the only minority guests present at the time, and we observed other patrons using their phones without being confronted. This left us feeling singled out and unwelcome. My wife attempted to discuss how the situation made us feel with a female bartender who had blue hair. Unfortunately, her reaction appeared dismissive, and our concerns did not seem to be taken seriously. As we prepared to leave, the employee who had initially confronted us remained nearby staring in our direction, which further contributed to our discomfort. For reference, we were seated at the right corner of the bar if you were facing the bar from the front. I am not seeking compensation. Rather, I hope management will review the events of that evening, including any available security footage and discussions with staff members present. No guest should leave feeling targeted, embarrassed, or unwelcome while simply trying to enjoy a night out celebrating a special occasion.

Had a dinner reservation with some girlfriends celebrating two of their birthdays. The restaurant itself isn't too big but it does a pack a nice punch. Drinks, it was fairly decent with their cocktails and wine. Service at the beginning was great. The staff were amazing and very friendly. We didn't order right away as we were still waiting for the last one to show. But did start off with some drinks. It didn't take that long for the first round which was nice. Food wise, the shared plate was a mixture of everything. Some of the olives, which is exactly what it is. The Belgian fries, nice thick cut fries with shredded pecorino cheese and a nice aioli sauce. We ended up getting a second order of it. The albacore tuna crudo was a hit which was really tasty. Chili ginger relish, mint and shallot, can't go wrong with that. Lastly the meatballs, tasty and very great for sharing. Entrees, the pan seared sea bass which I loved. Portion is pretty tiny which also seemed like they were a shared plate. Almost tapas styled. Nice chimichurri sauce and a side salad. The chicken Milanese also with a side salad of arugula. Simple dish but quite tasty. One of the salads that was somewhat hyped up by the waitress but it was just a salad. Decent but nothing major to rave about...lol... also the confit oyster mushrooms was major hit. Something that simple but quite tasty. And lastly the pan con tomate, rustic sourdough with tomatoes and burrata. Tasty as well. Overall the meal was good. From there, the second round of drinks did take a long time to arrive and with then plates that we shared, trying to get someone to clear the plates was another thing. Took a long for someone to clear the table before more items came. Even when the entrees came, all the empty starter plates were still there. And if someone did clear the plates, some was still left on the table. Finishing off the night, we did have the dessert which we tried all three. As it was two of our girlfriends birthday, they brought out a little bubbly for us to celebrate with the dessert. That was quite sweet and nice. Honestly opinion with the dessert, they were just ok. Nothing major to rave about. We tried all three on the menu and they were just ok. Overall, the food was great. Service was nice and the staffs were all very friendly. It did take a while for plates to get cleared from the table and second round did take a while, but it was manageable. It was a sweet gesture with the bubbly with the dessert which was greatly appreciated. The place is nice and great for catching up. Menu is limited and portions are quite small. You would have to get a good amount for sharing. Entrees, depending on what you order is small as well. But we enjoyed ourself.

Would it kill them to add a veggie burger? Service is consistently awful. I've been here half a dozen times and I've never had good service. Drinks and water are never refilled unless I ask. It takes forever to get our order and once we do our server disappears. Seriously so bad. But I keep coming back for their good food.

Because this is a hotel bar since it's situated in The Langham 5-star luxury hotel, the drinks are expensive like $25 starting. One of my friends got a lemon-based mocktail (pretty good) and I got Cosmopolitan-type cocktail with Prosecco (pretty solid and not overly sweet, just not one of the best cocktails I tried). Another friend ordered Negroni, which is a potent cocktail with a bitter sharp, dry aftertaste. I could hardly taste any hint of sweetness in the drink. My friend thought it was too bitter, too. Honestly, for me it tastes just as bitter as a Manhattan, probably because both cocktails incorporate sweet vermouth. 3 stars for the poor customer service and wait time for standing in line to order drinks. There were 2 or 3 bartenders and they were rushing but also seemed like they weren't efficiently helping customers with drinks in a timely manner. The lounge area was meh (super limited seat spots) and the vibes were bland despite coming here on New Year's Eve. Definitely an older demographic that frequents this bar, not that it's a bad thing, just not our vibe since it would've been more fun if there other people closer to our age, so we decided to bar hop elsewhere after.

We sat inside the restaurant but you can also reserve outdoor seating. The staff was very welcoming and too the time to explain the menu to us. Their dishes are shareable and I suggest about 4-5 dishes for a party of three. Off their menu we ordered the fried calamari, the buttermilk biscuits, yellow fin tuna tartare, the fideos clams and the barbecue chicken. Everything was delicious but our favorite was the buttermilk biscuits! Please keep in mind that the biscuits take about 20 minutes to make so please order in advance. Overall the food and ambiance were delightful and I can't wait to go back! For parking, there is street parking around the area but may be difficult since there are quite a few restaurants around sharing rhe space. There is a public parking structure down Meridian street, near heirloom bakery. We went on the weekend and the parking structure was free to park.

The way we were greeted and shown to our seats, you would have thought we were VIPs. Everyone was so friendly to us, and made us feel extremely welcomed. I truly think that every staff member we walked by from the door to our bar seats said hello and welcomed us to the restaurant. I don't know how to describe the level of service other than it was Masterclass. Special thank you to Wolf, our bartender/server a the upstairs bar. Yes his name is Wolf, and he's just as awesome as his name. So friendly and attentive. As for food, Wolf recommended we try the biscuits and I'm so glad he did because it was not something that I would have ordered had it not been for him. Literally the best biscuits I've ever had in my entire life. There is no other biscuit that comes close. It's exactly as it is described on the menu... flaky and buttery. It's an experience, truly. Even if biscuits were not what you thought you were going to order, just get them anyways. You have to try them. Just do it. GET THE BISCUITS! Other than the biscuits, we got the following: Calamari - some of the best I've had in awhile. Crunchy and crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Cooked perfectly. Hanger Steak - I didn't specify the doneness but it came rare which was perfect for me. The steak was great, I enjoyed every bite, but the mashed potatoes were EPIC lol. Burger & Fries - The fries in particular were amazing. HUGE portion, very crispy, and well seasoned. As for the burger, I liked the simplicity of it. However, I think it was way over cooked. I personally like my burgers to be a bit more juicy and medium doneness. The Bill - beware of the 4% surcharge. I don't really understand these things. Just price the food how you want to price it rather than adding a 4% surcharge to the final bill. Also, their suggested tip is calculated using the Total including tax rather than the subtotal. So basically you're tipping the tax lol. So aside from the bill and a little underwhelming burger everything else was absolutely incredible.
