It's so important to support local businesses and this is the place to check out. Grape Press has an amazing selection of craft beers, spirits, wines, Alien beef jerky (our fav). Sam is so personable and welcomes all. His knowledge of products will impress you. Great customer service was provided and our loyalty to this store was greatly rewarded. I moved to Anaheim Hills last July and my roommates showed me Grape Press. It didn't take long for me to realize the type of people that these people were. Sam is probably the most interesting, respectful, helpful and caring person I've ever met in my entire life. I have literally spent hours when it isn't busy just chatting it up with these guys. Their prices are cheap and their selection is huge. Sam will even order your favorite Liquor, wine, spirit or even soda if they do not carry it, just for you. Above all else, they carry unrivaled dedication and respect for their customers and treat us like family. I have become so fond of these guys that I literally will not go anywhere else. And I visit a lot, being a regular drinker. Thank you for all of the memories and respect Sam & Dan. I was so sad that somebody would make up such an outlandish story like Jerry did. Anybody that knows Sam and Dan would laugh at how phony it is. These guys are the best. I live very nearby, too, Jerry. You know what I look like. Maybe when you see me you could strike up a conversation and you and I could go have a drink, buddy! Until then, Grape Press will remain the best liquor store around. Cheers!!

I have been coming here regularly for the past few years and I have nothing but praise for Sam and his store. Selection of craft beer is always top notch and his Whiskey selection is the by far the best in Orange County. He is loyal to his customers to a fault. If you show your support you will be treated like family.

This liquor store is hands down the best I've ever been to!! It's like walking into a boutique that has all sorts of alcohol. Sam is so knowledgeable and is extremely nice. We were looking for a specific whiskey and he had it! I'm definitely coming back to support this local business. Best part! He's in such a great neighborhood and there were no drunks. I felt extremely safe there the entire time. We spent probably an hour there talking about whiskey and bourbon. :-).

In response to Jeriess B's one star review, I was there when when so called bad experience happened. And I say you were rude and out of line! The fact that you simply did not get you're way does in no way whatsoever give you the right to bash the the nice man that was trying to politely explain to why the products in his store are what they are. You refused to listen and threatened him with a bad review on Yelp and stormed off after a tantrum, you proceeded to drive your vehicle to the front parking spot and write you're rant on yelp like a two year old toddler in front of the owner of the store who didn't get his way! How disgusting! And shame on you! This store has been an icon in the neighborhood for years and the new owners are a God send to our community. To be honest if you can't afford 20 lousy cents for you're "Swisher's" so you can make a wannabe gangster blunt to smoke your drugs, perhaps you should focus your energy on prioritizing your life? And yes please take you, your friends and measly 5.00 business elsewhere, because Anaheim Hills does not want you! read more

WOW , just bought a cartoon of cigarettes he charged me $103 for one cartoon and said that's California? Came home and California's $5.89 a pack,what the hell and two weeks ago spent $69 a carton at am pm around the corner? Bunch of CROOKS. NEVER GO THERE AGAIN read more

Grape press is on the smaller size side of a liquor store, but there is a great selection of beer, wine, spirits, and mixers. So no matter what I have looked for I have always found something for the night. In one instance I purchased supplies when I was playing bartender for poker a night and purchased mixers, cherries, gin, vermouth, and whiskey. A different time Sam, the owner, gave me two rocks glasses just because he saw me going in so often. In another instance I was chatting with Sam when a woman and a little girl entered Grape Press and Sam was happy so happy to see them that he told the little girl to pick any candy she wanted in the store. After the woman was done shopping Sam did not charge her for the candy he let the little girl pick. Sam treats people well and I like to support local businesses when I can. I know I am paying a bit more than at a big retailer like Costco, Total wine, or BevMo but I enjoy the experience Sam provides and the selection he has to offer. Sam tries to make sure his customers are happy and adds a personal touch to your experience when he can. You don't get this from stores big liquor stores, it's typically an experience you get from a smaller place like this that you've gone to for a while and have taken the time to get to know the employees and store owner. read more

We love Grape Press Liquor! My husband and I moved to Anaheim Hills 2 and a half years ago. We love craft beer, but were unable to find any local liquor stores with a good selection. We are so happy to have Grape Press Liquor! Sam, the owner, is so friendly. They have a great selection and if there is anything you want, Sam is happy to help. We love supporting local businesses. I have been living in Anaheim hills since 2007 I went several times to the previously run and managed by others Liquor store bit always disappointed selection was poor and old bottles beer was your average joe six pack variety. Pushing me to go shopping in Brea and Tustin .... Since this store opened I met the owners and I felt something is brewing better previous owners and better than all other stores Brea and or Tustin. Their beer section is out of this world, their wine and liquor surpasses everyone's else, oh and if you are looking for the special bottle of liquor beer, or wine that you can't see there or can not find anywhere else... just ask Sam and few days later he gets it. The trip to the Grape Press is always interesting and enjoyable. A must visit to this small liquor store but not small in it selection. Even if it is not on the shelf Just ask Sam for this special bottle you are looking for and he will get it, as he got me few bottles that were hard or unavailable to get even from the big stores or Internet and now they are in my bar Well done Sam Thank you You read more

The new owners are stellar-they are extremely friendly, helpful and willing to order any type of drink you'd like. The shop in undergoing renovations after hours and there's already a huge difference in the store. It is definitely worth going to for all of your drinking and snacking needs. :) read more

I asked to have a case of wine sent as a gift to a friend and I asked if they could put a bow on it for me for the holidays. Not only did they put a bow on it but they wrapped it and put a greeting card on it with my message. These people went way beyond what I ever expected! read more

What an amazing and delightful change since Sam took over! I will never go anywhere else again. Whatever you want, Sam will order it for you. Besides excellent selections, there is also a deep care and concern for you and the AH community at large. This is not the bargain basement liquor store. You're probably paying an extra $1-2 per item here vs. Total Wine & More... BUT there's not a TW&M close by, they sell tobacco, and the owner Sam hits it out of the park every time with the customer service. Some jack wagon wrote a 1 star review because of a $0.17 price increase on an item?!! LOL Sam knows your name after apx. 3 visits, remembers the last thing you talked about, knows what you buy, is very chill and is basically the all time Jedi of customer service. The $0.17 guy should take in an AA meeting and quit bringing his negative ish into this otherwise happy place! lol read more

I was born and raised in Orange CA!, and growing up here my friends and partied in Villa Park and Anaheim Hills! and the "The Grape Press" was a go to for adult beverages and fine spirits! But, if you're like me you know that overly serious guy who used to previously own "The Grape Press" was okay at best! Well now, The Grape Press has New and Exciting ownership! All of the sudden this place is like my own personal Liquor Store! Not only did they do away with dim lighting and the boring ambiance, they brought in a whole micro brew selection! (and I'm talking rare brown bottles here people!) Sam the owner just so happens to be the coolest person on the planet and cater's to your every need! If he doesn't have it He will get it!, how cool is that ? And, with the up coming Holiday Season Sam and the boys at "The Grape Press Liquor" have got you covered! Do want to impress your boss with a eloquent bottle of Scotch? Perhaps a rare Tequila to bring to that party your going too? Or maybe you're like me and just enjoy a premium day to day Vodka like Grey Goose or Tito's! Sam has got you covered. Sam will direct you to the proper Spirit to fit your festivities!!! Oh, I'm not done here guys! Let's talk wine for a sec! Sam has made sure the grape Press" has it's name for a reason. No more dusty bottles of god forsaken crap! Sam has gone to great lengths to provide his customers with the latest and greatest! And, if you need advice on a good wine to enjoy for yourself or bring to a fancy dinner party, Guess what! I moved to the area a few months back and immediately wanted to find my new liquor store. Grape Press was the first stop and the last. Hands down the best customer service and atmosphere. Sam immediately made me feel welcomed and once we started to talk I immediately knew he knew his stuff. Sam keeps up with many breweries and as a beer lover himself, is always looking for quality beer. Sam, my hat goes off to you and your awesome selection. Your walk in fridge has always got me stumped. I understand the store had a previous owner and not such good reviews prior to Sam's take over. With a good walk in fridge of craft beers and great prices and positive vibes, you can't go wrong here! read more

If I could give this place 500 stars I would ! Sam and dan are the best around and always take care of me and many people I know ! It is so nice to feel comfortable and known at your neighborhood liquor store ! So nice and respectful and honest ! What can I say, The owner Sam is the best! His knowledge on his wine selection is top of the line. He always has a smile on his face, and is super accommodating. So much so, that he took the initiative to add the rare cigarettes I buy to his supply just for me. He works hard for your business and I'm so happy to support our local business owners. New owner is great. His name is Sam and he has lowered prices. He is super nice and always pleasant, which is so refreshing after the grouchy man who has run it for decades. Sam made sure the item I was looking for was in stock the very first time I asked him to get it; he had it the next day! The new owner Sam has really turned this place around! It's always such a pleasure to go into the store now. He's got a GREAT selection of specialty beers and a huge selection of liquor. The prices are comparable to CVS. I love going in just to say hi to Sam now!! It's also open early at 8 and late until 11 pm!! Everytime I've needed anything last minute (ice, water, beer, wine, whatever) they are very close to my house and fast to check out. I love this place. Sam is amazing. I stopped by one night after shopping at CVS and was so pleasantly surprised at all the craft beer they carried. Sam asked me what my favorite craft beer was and the next time I came in there it was..and cheaper than anywhere else I have found it. The place is clean and well stocked all the time. The store is small in size, but HUGE in inventory and customer service. Sam seems to know almost all of his customers. He makes you feels so welcome. I am so glad that it is just 2 minutes away from me!! I will be going back..often!! read more

Great selection of wine, beers, and craft brews. Well stocked. Liquor is very reasonably priced. Sam always greets you with a smile and asks how you are doing. I lived in AH all my life and I can say that Grape Press Liquor is The SPOT..Under the new ownership,Sam took this place far...They built a beer cave for Craft lovers besides a huge wine,bourbon and scotch selection..Always fair priced..We don't expect Costco prices but with the excellent service and convenience it worth it to stop by and support your local convenient store..Cheers read more

This is a little gem tucked away here in Anaheim Hills. Amazing beer, wine and spirits selections. Not talking about run of the mill stuff either, difficult to find items. And if they don't have, they will try their hardest to get it for you. Excellent customer service. Thanks Sam and team for all of your hard work. Pro tip: check out their barrel selected bourbons made specifically for the store. Elijah Craig 12 year is their latest release. read more

Sam and Daniel are so very personable in knowing and assisting their customers. They know sooooo many of us by our first names and treat us like friends, not just customers. Sam is very knowledgeable about his wonderfully stocked beer cooler as well as the impressive wine collection. When I'm looking for a new wine to try Sam and Daniel will always lead me to a great bottle of something really yummy! Oh, and don't forget the cigar case. :-) Grape Press is truly a gem in our neighborhoood!! I highly recommend this store!! My husband loves beer (what man doesn't?!) and he was blown away with their selection. Also, if they don't have an item that you want, they will order it for you! This place kicks ass. Period bitches! Sam and Joe are incredibly gracious and welcoming. On top of their fantastic customer service, they have added some delicious craft brew such as Lagunitas and Stone IPA's. They also carry my favorite Italian lager Peroni. Best of all they keep the fridge stocked with ice cold Jäger...just for me. They didn't have to but they remembered my name and preferences in just a few visits. That's serious customer service. These guys are friendly and take your business seriously. I've been coming here for five years...it looks like I'll be coming back for five more. read more

They have a great selection of beers, seltzers and hard liquor that rivals a big vendor like BevMo. We usually hit the Viv down the street and we'll be seeing more of Charlie for snacks and treats on our way into the hotel for fun. Thanks Charlie for a great experience, we'll be back for more.

This store has all the good snacks! There's another convenience store that claims to have 'too much…read moregood stuff' but Kings Liquor trumps them. They have various snack foods from all over the world, and I even saw some of the viral novelty ice creams (e.g. the ice creams that look like a chicken drumstick). I just came to accompany a friend, but after going up and down aisle after aisle of unique snack options, I had to load up. Service wise, it was the typical convenient store experience but the employee who checked me out was quick and attentive. It's clean and well lit and while it looks like a typical neighborhood liquor store but don't let the exterior fool you...inside is a honey hole of super exciting snack foods! Oh and of course as their name suggests, they have liquor too.

We came around 10 PM on a Saturday night and there was already a pretty long line. Apparently we got lucky because I was told the line wasn't even as long as it normally gets lol. Surprisingly though, we waited less than 10 minutes. The staff here works FAST. You can literally see how hard everyone is working behind the counter getting all the orders out. There's also a waiting area with bench seating which is nice if you're hanging around eating your churros. Plenty of parking too so that wasn't an issue at all. There's even a Jalisco taco tent right next door, so honestly you could grab tacos first and then come here for dessert We were recommended the Traditional Churros with vanilla bean ice cream and this was easily the highlight for me. The traditional ones are super crispy on the outside but really soft inside. It reminds me of the classic Mexican churros you'd get from street vendors, markets or festivals, just done REALLY well. They had the perfect amount of cinnamon sugar too. Definitely on the sweeter side but thats exactly how I want my churros. With the vanilla bean ice cream and Mexican caramel on top... SO GOOD. Everything just worked together perfectly. The hot crispy churros with the cold vanilla ice cream and caramel was seriously addicting. I've actually been to Spain and tried churros from cafes that have been around for literally 100 to 200+ years, and honestly Don Churros is still up there with some of the best churros I've ever had. Probably one of the best I've tried in North America so far. Also really cool knowing they're originally from Jalisco, Mexico! We also ordered the mixed boxes, but unfortunately by 10 PM they had already sold out of the Don Churros and only had the Traditional ones left. Since the Don Churros cost a little more we asked if they could maybe hook us up with some extra Traditional Churros instead. I can't even begin to tell you how great this place is!I love going to the Grape Press for old school sodas candies and snacks. But aside from the great selection of beverages and spirits. I really feel so welcome by Sam and Daniel. These guys are the best they are so polite and respectful always! They remember my name and always greet me with a smile or a big "hello". I read a recent review given by "Jerry Y" and all I can say is this is not the Sam nor the Grape Press I know. Sams true customers who really know him know The truth. That is Sam is not the type person to mock anybody for any reason. I think it's sad when a person has to attack a someone's business and lively hood for no reason with zero proof. Huge Craft beer selection,they even built a beer cave which is unique.. Unfortunately, they haven't had any wine tastings since Covid, but almost everything I know about wine I owe to Vendome and their many years of great tastings. I actually have a file folder that contains a two inch stack of tasting sheets that I kept which go back as far as 2010. This spot does a lot of volume so the prices feel very reasonable (and they don't try to gouge). I say specialty beverages store because the vibe feels a lot classier than your usual liquor store and more like one of those chains, but with a much smaller footprint and more curated selection. The folks here have always been helpful and great. This place used to be on my regular rotation of places to visit and buy whiskey and beer from when I lived in the area. I don't get out here much any more, but always a fun place to visit. I recently visited in late May 2025 and I'm not sure if it's still the same ownership, but when I frequently visited years ago I used to geek out with the guys here about beer and whiskey. My recent visit was for a single barrel select of EH Taylor. Such a treat and the pricing was more than fair! Really wish there were more places like this closer to where I live now, but this spot is a fantastic place.
