This is a beautiful restaurant in Warwick, NY and we went as a large group. We were in a group of 9 people reservation and it was so enjoyable. We had a wonderful meal here! The staff were extremely attentive and gave great suggestions on menu items. Their complimentary bread, zucchini dipping oil and cheese were such a wonderful start to the evening. We tried the meatballs and the stuffed fig special which were so delightful. I had a shrimp pasta and my husband the strip steak. Everything was cooked to perfection. We ended with the crème brûlée and cannolis. The whole space had good vibes. Impeccable! We had the pollo parmigiana and rigatoni grappa. Haven't had delicious food like this in a long time, flavorful, filling, and fantastic service! The bread and oil with chunks of cheese they give while waiting for the food was also so tasty. I tried the white sangria and it was just alright in my personal opinion. Everyone was so kind. Stopped in for lunch on a beautiful end of summer day. Sat outside. 2 of us each ordered a martini and shared 2 dishes: chicken panini (pesto) and chicken Caesar wrap. The side salads that come with each was delish as were both of the sandwiches! I'd love to come for the entrées next time! I normally don't give low ratings for restaurants but this had to be an exception. If you are picky with your Italian food or can cook you'll be let down. I have high expectations for Italian food and my bf can make a mean chicken Parmesan. We aren't even cooks or chefs by any means. It's quite simple to make a homemade sauce and get some pasta imported from Italy. This restaurant seems to be missing the basics of Italian cooking. To start off we skipped appetizers and just ordered the chicken Parmesan and lasagna. First of all the quality of the pastas we had average $15-20 at best. My bf asked a server about if the pasta was homemade and then the owner had to come and explain which ones were. The taste of the chicken parm was interesting. And some parts of the meal were cold while others were hot. The breading had an ok flavor but the after taste was gamey. The sauce looked like it had been reheated a couple of times just by the taste & color of it I could tell it wasn't fresh. We reordered the parm but it was just the same flavor even with homemade pasta as a sub. I ate my lasagna cause I didn't want to return it and cause a scene because clearly the servers just love to continue to eye us down as if we had murdered someone if you mention you aren't pleased with your meal. The whole hour we were there we kept getting looked at like zoo animals. We weren't mean or rude just mentioned that my bf wanted to try some homemade pasta and we weren't sure which pastas where made in house from the sauce to the noodles. Grappa serves really good food. The pollo marsala was so good it almost made me want to lick the plate clean. The meal ended on a sour note when I noticed that the restaurants charges a 3.5% credit card fee. This kind of irritating fee can ruin a good meal and prevent a first time customer from becoming repeat customer. There are plenty other restaurants that do not charge nuisance fees. A credit card fee is part of the cost of doing business and food prices should be increased to include all your costs. If it weren't for the fee, I would have rated the restaurant 4 stars. read more

What a great place! Everything was fantastic tonight. Very cool multi-level place in Warwick that I am super glad we tried out. The service was outstanding from our hostess to our server to the bartender who spent the time to cover the wine list with us. The food was outstanding across the board. The start you off with some fresh warm rolls accompanied by a great spiced olive oil and chunks of Parmesan cheese. We selected the Fig app that was a daily special. The figs had a combo cheeses and was on a bed of prosciutto and candied walnuts. We moved on the entrees, which all were great. My MIL got the Linguine with Clams. She did not stop raving about them. Tons of clams! My FIL got the Bronzino with spinach. The bite I got was great. My wife went for her go to, anything Bolognese, this came with gnocchi and I loved the we bites I stole. I couldn't pass up the Zuppe Di Pesce and I was glad I didn't. There was a ton of clams, mussels and calamari in addition to two huge shrimp. The linguine was great with the light red sauce that flowed through the seafood. Solid dessert choices with the Crème Brûlée, the Chocolate Caramel Crunch cake and the NY Cheese cake. Food was mediocre for this type of restaurant. Dried-out chicken breast with Caesar salad (too much dressing), bagged chopped romaine, and canned Caesar dressing. I think they can do better for $20. Service remains outstanding at this restaurant, and the bar has an excellent selection of both liquor and wines. I really like the white Bordeaux on offer (even if it is overpriced). Do not like the service fee PLUS a 3.5% fee on top of that because we had no cash with us. With tips, lunch was $130 (mussels, bread, Ceasar salad with chicken and three glasses of wine). This restaurant is overpriced before the added fees. I live on Queen Anne, so for a long time this was a neighborhood place to go. Not anymore. If spending this much money, just go around the corner to How to Cook a Wolf or down the street to Betty. Disappointing over and over. read more

Went for lunch on Saturday with my family who were here to visit from PA. We wanted to enjoy the gorgeous day outside. I called for reservations and left my number. The hostess called back and was not very nice. I definitely won't forget there are no reservations for outside. The food is fabulous. We went there tonight for dinner and my daughter spilled her drink and broke her glass . They replaced all of the food and appetizers on our table with all new and moved us to another table. The upstairs dining area was beautifully and tastefully decorated, and we were seated at a great table with a view of the room. The staff were efficient, attentive (without being overbearing), and extremely knowledgeable about the food available both on and off of the menu. The icing on the cake? The food was spectacular! Here we are back at our favorite place in Warwick after a day on the boat. We were seated promptly outside in a perfect spot to see and hear the outdoor concert going on down the street. Love the menu here and the food. We shared the grilled octopus and the shrimp avocado for appetizers and we shared a fig arugula prosciutto and goat cheese pizza. The octopus was excellent. It was tender and flavorful. The shrimp avocado was good but at the prices they charge they definitely cheaper out by cutting the shrimp in half that are included in this dish. Come on give us whole shrimp. The pizza was fantastic with lots of flavor. Service is very good and friendly. Very cute Italian restaurant with great food and wonderful service. Dimly lit for a romantic ambiance - great for a date or an intimate dinner. We started with the margherita pizza and the octopus special to share. The pizza was thin crusted and tasty. The octopus was nicely charred served on top of a bed of beans with a nice citrus light dressing. I ordered the seafood special which was very fresh and delicious - filet of fish, calamari, mussels, clams served with risotto. We also ordered the gnocchi bolognese and a chicken burrata special, which was also very good. The portions are quite generous, so definitely come hungry! They also make a really good red sangria! We have eaten many times at Grappa and the food is very good. However, they are not good for takeout. We ordered a pasta dish and it was a goopy mess! Pasta should be cooked "al dente" and even more so with takeout. Also less sauce is needed. read more

Can't say enough about the experience we had here for my birthday. Tony was our server and he was superb throughout. The appetizers were great, make sure to try the grilled octopus. All of our entrees were delicious including the Filet Mignon and several different pasta dishes.
