Grasso's has been our local family go-to for many many years. They've been in this location for about seventy years, and did a major remodel recently, used to be split into a "family room" and a "date night room" but now it's a couple of smaller rooms which breaks up the noise level a bit. The menu is core Italian-American with all the standards you'd expect. Lots of red meat sauce (or marinara). Highlights are the fried chicken, including chicken livers, as well as the tomato and sweet onion salad when it's in season. I've always loved their salad dressing. I think they have a wine selection but we just gave the Chianti. The owners and staff are welcoming and very friendly. If you're from the Valley you're sure to run into someone you know!

Visiting town for work and decided to try this place out. The food was outstanding! Probably the best garlic bread ive ever had. I ordered chicken parm and it was fantastic, and very large portion. Would definitely recommend and like to try again myself as well.

But took us one hour to check us out. Management didn't help the server until my sister had to go complain. Twice. We had all different kind of meals, the pasta seemed like it was microwaveable. I have been here before and seems like the quality and taste of the food has declined unfortunately

We had a small calamari fritta, and the chicken cacciatore (inspired by Billy Joel's song Movin' Out) with an add on unlimited Caesar salad, requested dressing on the side. Calamari was good, crispy and hot. The Caesar salad dressing was excellent, just the right amount of lemon tang for a Caesar dressing, but the salad itself was mediocre. The lettuce was on the verge of wilted. I am not sure if we could have asked for more (unlimited?) but we didn't want anymore anyway. This is the first time have ever tried cacciatore so have no reference, but the dish seemed good. Assume the chicken is supposed to be cooked to the point of crispy? versus less cooked more juicy? Our server had to also function as hostess and must have had a lot of tables assigned to her, so service at times was a little slow but not bad. Probably would return, prices were decent. Could have ordered a take home lasagna for just an additional $5., but didn't want it. ...at Mister Cacciatore's down on Sullivan Street, across from the medical center!

It's terrible because any other place I go now for a ribeye absolutely sucks compared to Mona Lisa. BUT it's also just not their ribeye... it's their brussel sprouts, shishitos, potatoes, calamari. Our second visit was on Valentine's Day two years ago, and unfortunately it was very disappointing. We had reservations, but by the time someone came to take our order, several menu items were already sold out. What made it more frustrating was that they continued seating people without reservations while guests with reservations were still waiting. We waited more than a year before coming back, hoping our first experience was the standard and the Valentine's Day visit was just a bad night. Unfortunately, this visit was also disappointing. Service was slow, we were served the wrong wine even after spelling it out for the waitress, and the whiskey I ordered was also incorrect. The food was not cooked properly, and the lobster mac and cheese came out cold. For a $300+ dinner, I expect much better. I understand this is the Valley, and I genuinely try to support local small businesses, but consistency matters -- especially at this price point. After two poor experiences in a row, it is hard to justify coming back.

Cute ambiance, amazing wait staff and good value for the quality and portion size. The bread brought for the table was perfect crispy outside, soft inside. All the dishes were well made. I took a lasagna plate to go for my adult son and he loved it as well. Best part is how well-trained their staff is; I ordered a diet coke and they let me know they were out and offered other suggestions. I went with a water but not five minutes later they came with a diet coke! What kept them from 5 stars? There is no dedicated parking lot and the area around them (north of them is fine but south down the street is another story) is sketchy at best and doesn't seem particularly safe to park your car on the street. The menu is not very broad, but overall a very nice experience!

The garlic bread was just bolillo bread (the kind of bread you eat with menudo) with butter and garlic seasoning. The chicken wings were also really soggy and for some they were all dark brown on the inside. It was really unappetizing to see. The Alfredo wasn't too bad. I don't think I will be trying this place again.
