Use caution!!! They are OVERPRICED and have no INTEGRITY! They also charged us for half job they didn't complete. We got this company off of Thumbtack because of their reviews. First they came out to asses the leak and charged us $50 for that. Then they had a leak detection company come out for $250 and determine exactly where the leak was (in our half bath), only to find out that the leak was outside of the house so we paid $250 for nothing. Once they started the job, in the process of trying to get to the leak, they improperly moved our sink causing the the marble to crack right in half. They told us that the insurance company would fix it, but our insurance company said that it would need to be covered by them because they broke it while trying to do the work. We called Adam and informed him of this and he said that they are not responsible because it was a cheap piece of marble and it's in the fine print that they are not responsible for things like that. Mind you we never signed a waiver before the work was performed. We even had our insurance company reach out to them only for Adam to tell the representative that our sink was installed improperly. We have since had a contractor come out to look at our sink and he said that we were taken advantage of because the sink and marble was installed correct, you can clearly see that they moved it improperly. Instead of picking it up from the base of the cabinet, one person picked it up by the marble causing it to crack. Also the marble is NOT cheap. It will cost over $280 alone to replace. After they dug a huge hole in our bathroom floor and determined the leak was in fact outside, and we needed outside work, the price went from $2150 to $8400. They claimed it was for a rush order, but we had already waited for a week and a half just for them to get to our house, and paid the company they sent to determine where the leak was. We asked for them to give a price without the rush fee and they never did. We had them halt on the job because that was just way too much money. They then charged us $1075, which was for half of the job that should of included: 1. Dig the hole/cut through concrete. 2. Replace the defected pipe. All they actually did was: 1.Break our marble top to our bathroom sink. 2 Dig a huge hole.... and got paid $1075. Not once did they offer to refund us the difference of the work that was never completed! I do not recommend this company. Please beware. read more

I got up in the morning, headed to the shower. There was this gross smelly backup the have come up our shower drain. I really wasn't sure who to call. As I scrolled through plumbing services I found that Grateful Plumbing had same day service and they were just down the road. They were here very quickly, great service, very friendly and very knowledgeable. I will definitely use them again awesome service! read more

He arrived timely and texted before arrival. He quickly addressed and repaired the problem, and he did a great job of explaining the issue to me in the process. Adam is a great guy. He is knowledgable and accommodating. He is always thorough, prompt and communicative. I use him for all my clients plumbing needs and would recommend him to anyone. My only reason not to give 5 stars is the pricing sometimes a little higher than average but hey.. I am not a plumber, he is and everybody has to eat so who am I to balk at his pricing. I am very pleased with the Grateful Plumber! Not only did he respond quickly to my query through Yelp, he was friendly and informative over the phone. I was given a time window for my appointment and he showed up on time with an assistant. He patiently answered my questions, offered thoughtful advice and gave me quotes before starting work. Will absolutely work with Grateful Plumber again. Adam responded very quickly on Yelp with a general estimate. Then he came out on a cold morning to work on our outdoor pump, was on time, and gave us an estimate that was on the high-end of what it would cost. Came back out to do the work, was on time yet again, and it ended up being more of a pain to fix that he first thought. Despite that, the total amount he charged us was significantly less than his high-end quote! I was a little shocked to be honest, because we were prepared to pay the entire amount. That is how you get repeat business, and Grateful will get ours. EDIT: I have no idea why it says I'm in San Francisco. I live in Avon, Indiana, and this repair was done locally. read more

Although Adam wasn't able to fix my problem he was direct and I feel very honest about the situation. There wasn't any way around needing to replace the water heater. I tried myself to remove the leaky hose and it was as if the coupling had been welded to the inlet. Any more pressure and I would've probably broken off the inlet. read more

We called to fix a drain problem with our washing machine. Tech was there maybe 15 minutes, barely snaked the drain, got it working, charged us $200 and 2 days later, the same problem came back. To their credit, they came back and "fixed" it for free but did the same exact technique and left. My wife ran water in the kitchen sink which sits maybe 10 feet from the washer and it was standing water, not draining at all. When she asked the tech about that, telling him that it was draining before they came the first time, he said that was a separate issue and we would have to pay them another $200 to fix that.... NEVER using these frauds again. read more

On March 1st just after a bad experience the day before I have contacted Grateful Plumbers to come and correct some plumbing work that another contractor spent over 7 hours and still did not complete. My first contact was with Adam and may i add at 6 AM he was the first to respond i was amazed. We made an apt for them to arrive between 2-4 PM but actually arrived around 10:15 AM or so. They were here for about 1 hour fixed my kitchen sink and my bathroom toilet i will BE calling them again to fix my shower these guys are AMAZING !!!!! We needed to have Grateful Plumber come to our home for an evaluation of a possible leak. He showed up early and was rude to the tenants. He said he fixed the issue, which took about 15 min of his time. The charge was $201. Overall, seems overpriced for simple fix with few parts. Not happy with experience overall. read more

I Love Grateful Plumber. My business is baking and when I had a leak in my gas line he came out that day assessed the problem, showed me the problem gave me options and my estimate no pressure sales. I had two other plumbers from very reputable plumbing companies come out one couldn't not fix it that day and the other showed up 2 hours late. Adam had all the equipment on his truck and he and his helper were ready to work. His prices are competitive with other Good plumbing companies,He has a great website, he sends a text when he is on his way, he has online scheduling, he educates you, you can call him anytime when you have a question. I was in desperate need to have a waterline installed for my refrigerator, I called three other companies and Grateful Plumber was able to get to me that day. They showed up in a very well advertised van, in uniform, introduced themselves, assessed the project gave me a very reasonable quote and got to work. They had the job done in a very timely manner, my cats were very curious and they were so sweet to my cats. They cleaned up the mess and were finished in 30 minutes. Everything is electronic so I got a text to let me know exactly when they would be here, I could track them on my map, and I could pay with my credit card and they offered to send my invoice to my email or print it out. I am so grateful for Grateful Plumber! My water heater started leaking all over my basement. I wanted to give my money to a local small business and read wonderful reviews about Grateful Plumber. They were extremely professional and very friendly. They looked over my immediate problem and looked at what may have caused it. They showed me that my water softener was broken and had been for sometime. I also remembered my sinks were draining slowly so they fixed that. I had grateful plumber come out and replace valves underneath my kitchen sink and bathroom sink and install the faucets i had already bought. they came out early did the work and thawed out my water heater pipes in the garage with a salamander. My problem with this was that they charged me $1,172 for this service and upon reviewing my invoice after payment, i was charged $242 for each install of the faucet! About the second day i realized we had no water. i went to check the water meter hole and saw that there was no cover on it! they had left the cover off and my pipes had frozen. I called them on that saturday two days after and they said they would not be able to come back out until tuesday after they had caused my pipes to freeze and to put a heat gun on it. Im upset on how i just spent over $1000 on their company and they could not fix their mistake of causing my pipes to freeze and i had to fix it myself. read more
