This is specifically for the used car sales. I have no experience with the other parts of this business. While the actual salesperson was nice enough, the manager behaved very poorly. The manager was constantly interrupting the sales person with loud hard sell techniques. He would hop into the cubicle every few minutes hollering "sign now and this is the price buy ya gotta sign now!" They offered me 1500 less on my trade in then a rival dealership in town so I told them I would think about it and call them the next morning . Instead they woke me up asking when I was coming to sign for the car. I explained that I needed 1000 more on my trade in and the manager got on the phone and verbally berated me, calling me a liar. Avoid this place. There are better dealerships out thee that will treat you better. read more

Such a waste of time! The salesperson tried but buying a car takes a village and they don't have one. The selection for what I wanted was poor and the price was ridiculous...don't take my word but my bank said they were way off too which is probably why they offered to finance it themselves and bring the price down. Why do I feel like I've entered some old Soviet DMV every time I go to pick up my car from the Ford Service Department? Check in at the Service Desk, wait while they search for my vehicle (they called me using my wife's name, filed it under my name, and never bothered to ask the VIN or model), get sent to Cashier, while the vehicle is brought up. Cashier never greets us, is hidden behind a paper invoice mountain, takes our payment (I love when she rubber stamps, yes a real rubber stamp, 4 copies of our service orders, all of which look like computer printouts of the same form). Then she sends us out to wait in the hope our vehicle eventually shows up. Never once did anyone explain the repairs or even seem to care. Ah the joys of bureaucracy and big American automakers. Horrible service ... I inquired about a used vehicle I saw online . Brian Harlow ,the internet sales manager contacted me and seemed nice over the phone. I went to the dealership in person to check into the vehicle and possibly another depending on what I could be helped with as well as meet Brian . When I pulled up , two salesman were outside and didn't even approach and asked if I needed help. As I walked up they walked into the building without even acknowledging me ! A salesman from inside by the name of Cedric saw me and greeted me as well as held the door open for me and child who was in a stroller. Brian was called and walked up , not very friendly. Now make no mistake , I informed him up front that my credit was not that great , but I did have someone that could co-sign if needed. He showed the vehicle and then proceeded to start an application. Immediately He returned and said sorry we can't do anything for you. I said "that's fine , can we try with my co-signer "? He told me that he had to be present so I left the lot. My designated co-signer was contacted and submitted a credit application and then nothing. No phone call , update or anything. I realized his phone number was mistakenly entered and tried to call Brian as well as spoke with a salesman named Kendrick who stated he couldn't help because Brian was already handling it.I even got the co-signer to call and the phone just rung (cellphone) and he simply just didn't return our call. I decided to call the lot the next day because we were only trying to get an update ! The woman who answered the phone was rude and cut me off while I asked about contacting Brian stating he was out of town for a conference until Friday. Had to taken a minute to listen then she would have realized we called Brian prior to him leaving, I assume he just felt we weren't dealing with . I spoke with Sales Manager Lloyd Williams who stated he would take a look into things and call me back. No return call from him so I headed to the car lot because I work close to it. He claimed he had been trying to call me and the co-signer yet neither one of had a missed call or voicemail. After locating my app , Lloyd asked a few questions about mileage , payoff owed , etc. He proceeded to view my vehicle that I wanted to trade and told me to keep the oil change and maintenance up on the vehicle because there was no way without a "substantial" a.k.a. large ass down payment there was nothing tbst could be done because I was too upside down in my current vehicle. I found this funny because because I have been upside down in a vehicle before (brand new and close to the same amount owed on my current vehicle and traded it in for a brand new vehicle with no down payment and though the note was a little more , it wasn't terribly high. I just got in my car and left. If Gray Daniels Ford did not wish to do business with me and my boyfriend , that's fine. Bad credit , ok credit , no credit we still deserved to be treated with respect and treated just like any other customer that comes through the door. I would never advise anyone to go here if you don't have perfect credit because your not worth their time apparently. read more

Called this morning about getting my tire changed after I'd run over a nail last night. Mr. Ron Lane is who I'd spoken with. He told me to come on in. I arrived at about 8:30 am. Upon my arrival I stood in the service department customer service den for about 3 mins with nobody acknowledging me. Mr. Ron Lane walked past me, Mr. Bryan Miller ended a phone call but didn't say anything to me. After Mr. Jason Massey got off of a phone call, I was finally acknowledged. It's now 10:04 am & I am still sitting. The only update I received was about 10 mins ago when I went & asked the status. They're just now about to patch my tire. I normally go to Watson Quality Ford, but unfortunately this one is closer to my house. I'd much rather take the drive than to come here again. They got 2 stars because Mr. Lane was nice on the phone & they had fresh hot coffee. read more

*This is my experience with repairing my 2012 Ford Focus SEL for transmission shudder issues at this dealer.* I took my car in for transmission shuddering issues one day shortly after I bought the car from another dealer and it was used. Not many miles on it. I brought the car in and mentioned my problem and also my knowledge of a "Field Service Action" by Ford Motor Company to fix the transmission clutches and seals, and sometimes the transmission control module as well. The service guy said that they will have to do measurements of certain vibrations and all of that. I told him to do whatever they need to do. After a bit of time they called me and said that they have done some software updates, but the shudder that I was feeling got dismissed because the guy told me that its normal due to the type of transmission that car had. I went home and did some research. So I educated myself on the type of transmission that car had in it. So I took no further action, thinking that the shudder was normal. Even though it was already excessive! So I tried my best to overlook the problem and continued to drive the car normally. After few months the shuddering became so bad that the car began to launch me in front of lights, stop signs, oncoming traffic, etc. It randomly uplifted, downshifted, and sometimes didn't even engage. Low speeds were near impossible to drive at. The car became unsafe to drive. I was afraid that I will hit something or someone or vise versa. Then the transmission control module went out. They replaced it. I mentioned the shudder issue again. They told me that it needs a new sets of clutches, and seals. But it would take 6-8 weeks to get them in. I said okay, and continued to drive the car. Worst two months ever. On the 7th week of waiting, I placed a call to Ford corporate office, and complained. I asked for something different to drive while they wait for clutches, or to hurry up and get the clutches in to the dealer. The car was on a verge or being not drivable. I was told that I would be contacted within a week by a regional manager. I was contacted by someone else filling in for her, then the dealer got the part in, 3 days after I called corporate. They fixed the car. regional manager called and asked if I was happy with the repair. I answered accordingly. This experience has been horrific for me and I blame Ford Motor Company for all of this. The dealership got me a bit upset the first time they dismissed the problem. But when my car was called in to be fixed, the guy that helped was Jason. And he was very nice, attentive, and considering. He made sure that everything was good and done. Gave me his contact info and said to check back in if any issues arise. So far the car has been driving much better. Some switching is still felt, but its insignificant. Ford needs to get rid of the PowerShift transmissions, they don't work in USA. And people are very angry and upset, but most importantly.. endangered by this product. Roll out a mandatory recall!! There are countless of lawsuit going on. Class action, lemon law, etc. People are going to loose jobs at Michigan plant. Ford is only hurting itself. read more

I had my car towed to Gray Daniels Ford in Brandon. It took them one week to fix my vehicle. It was 3 days before it was ever pulled to the back to be looked at. I was given a price to fix the car, if they did not have to replace the PCM computer.If they had to replace it, it would run 400 to 500 more. with that being said, Yes! they had to replace it and where I was quoted my bill would be around1850.00 to repair my car. When I walked out of the dealership with my keyes in my hand iI was at 2600.00. Then I was called back and they "worked my bill" to remove 300.00. That was still over 450.00 more than I was quoted. I do not work on cars I trust the repair service to quote me a price. In return I was looking at a new auto and went on to another make so I would not have to deal with Ford service. read more

Horrible Experience! At first I was super happy about purchasing this car, but it wasn't even a week that my alternator went out. I was out of town, so there was no way I could take it back to the dealership that same day, so I had to spend nearly $700 out of pocket to get the alternator fix in order to come back to Brandon. The rep and manager swore up and down that they took it to another dealership to see if anything was wrong with it with another customer. There's no way that they could have miss how bad the alternator was. I was surprise that i even made it out of town without anything dangerous happening. I contacted the rep multiple times, but it took forever for her to respond. Furthermore, we caught the manager lying on multiple occasions saying that we could swap cars and then said that we couldn't. We thought well maybe since we have been a customer since the late 90s/early 2000s, that they would work with us by at least giving us a portion of the money back on the alternator or something. They wasn't willing to help us at all. We get that it was a used car and it's as is, but the price of this car with a major issue is a BIG PROBLEM. This car was very pricey for it to have this type of problem with in 4 days of purchasing. Plus, we asked 100s of questions to make sure the car was in good condition. I have seen dealerships with better customer service would at least take in the car and fix it or something, so that's why we thought that maybe they can reimburse us since the car wasn't able to make it back to Brandon. This will be the last car we purchase from this dealership. The managers didn't care about us and the rep only cared about her commission. At least the repair service took in the car to make sure everything else was okay, but that should have been done before purchasing. This was my first car purchase, and it was the worst. I took my Ford Fiesta ST to Gray Daniels last Thursday , May 5, 2016, to have the axle seal fixed. James went out of his way to make sure I received a rental car and was called Friday, the next day that my car was ready to be picked up. Anytime that I have had problems or questions with my car James has gone out of his way to make sure that my car is back to perfection like the day I drove it off the lot. read more

DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP! I brought my car in for repairs when the check engine light came on and didn't get it back until almost 4 weeks later. It was a straightforward repair that should have taken no more than 1 week. After finding out they messed up my extended warranty (which I had bought there) I became concerned but gave them the benefit of the doubt. Next thing I know I was being lied to by Ron in the service department about everything from what happened with my warranty, to when my parts were ordered, to when my car would be ready. I was told my car would be ready on 2 different dates but these dates were actually pushed back further and I never even got a phone call about it. I had to call them to find this out. Turns out Ron was pushing my service order back because they don't make commission on those repairs. After complaining to Asbury Automotive Group, I finally got a rude phone call back saying the repairs were delayed again due to another bad part and "thank you for talking to Mr. Tim about me not getting in touch with you." I have been a customer there for over 5 years and rarely had a problem when I worked with Jason. He is no longer there and it is sad. I will no longer use this dealership and I advise you to stay away if you value customer service and honesty. read more

After having a near death car accident, my wife and I had a terrible car buying experience after we purchased two vehicles from Gray-Daniels Used Cars (Brandon, MS) in May 2015. However, our salesman Anthony Chambers was great, informative and quite knowledgeable about the car buying process. The problem occurred when we were pressured to purchase the 2012 GMC Sierra on Friday night in order to be able to process both deals; then return on the next day to purchase the 2014 Taurus. We were told that we would receive the truck paperwork on Saturday. When we returned on Saturday the Finance Manager (Ed) & the General Manager (Sistrunk) worked some numbers out in the computer lowering the price of both vehicles to make bothe deals work because my wife and I needed two vehicles even lowering the price of the truck lowered than the Internet Sales Price. Afterward, Ed looked at the computer & said that he was going to make sure that Mr. Sistrunk signed off on the deal so he could cover himself. Finally, the 1st payment came due on the truck & we still didn't have any paperwork on the truck; each time we inquired about the paperwork the Finance Manager said that the paperwork was mailed. After getting the run-around we finally called the lender (Independent Bank -Memphis, TN) who stated a payoff that was entirely much higher than what should have been and the lender said that we were foolish for leaving the dealership without paper work. Further research revealed that the dealership "power booked" bother vehicles reporting that they we the high model vehicles to obtain the higher financing amount. After (2) months with no paperwork on the truck & the Taurus not having the features that we were told we decided to get rid of both vechicles. Enroute to traded both vehicles, we stopped by the dealership and insisted the truck paperwork & when the Finance Manager (Ed) returned with the paperwork it was a copy of a copy. The fact that I've been a Mortgage Loan Office for the past 10 years, I noticed that the the top page of the loan agreement had a different amount than what we had signed. Remember, the General Sales Manager (Sistrunk) had to work the numbers in the computer for us to accept the deal because we couldn't afford the higher sales price. As a result, we purchase (2) 2015 Cheverolets. After receiving a copy of the payoff check we submitted a request to cancel the warranties and GAP that we purchased at Gray-Daniels and it was accepted on 7/7/2015. As of today 9/9/2015, we are still waiting on a warranty refund on the 2012 GMC Sierra. Would believe that my wife called Asbury Auto (Gray-Daniels) today and the representative (Debbie McNeal) stated that she didn't know what the dealership did with the funds & she was very unprofessional. Still waiting on funds but enjoying the new Silverado & Malibu. read more

Had a terrible service visit this morning...June 5th, 2018...called to schedule a service appointment on my new Ford Escape, purchased new from Gray-Daniels Ford. Also received a coupon from Ford Motor Company for a 19.95 oil and filter change....was told to bring vehicle in no appt needed.. scheduled one anyway...the coupon failed to mention an automatic $10.00 charge for shop services, which drove the price up to a pkg they call " The Works" which included tire rotation...got my car home checked it over, only to find they had not rotated the tires, charged me....one rim had a previous scuff mark from hitting curb, the tire and rim was still in orginial spot, right rear....so, no tire rotation....was promised car in an hour, took two hours to service...change oil and filter, no tire rotation....no management available....overall a very stressful experience....called an reported that tires were not rotated...said they would check with service tech...I do not trust this Ford Dealership... other customers were experiencing similar situations.... read more

I had the very popular "shudder" problem or vibration between 40-50 mph on my F150. I decided to take it to the dealer(gray Daniels Ford Brandon, MS) to let them check it out. I pulled in to the service garage and got out of my truck. I was immediately approached by a service rep who asked what was going on with my truck, so I explained the trouble I was having. He asked for my keys and showed me to the waiting room. 2-3 minutes later he hurries in the waiting room with a printout of my tire alignment and says "hey, did you know your tires are out of alignment? We can do an alignment for $69.95 and get that taken care of for you". I chuckled on the inside because I just had an alignment done 2 days ago and had not even driven the truck 20 miles and didn't hit any potholes or anything that could've caused them to go out of alignment. Anyways, I told them no and continued to wait while they diagnosed my truck. It was a little over an hour and the service rep came in and said "My technician says he can do a transmission flush and that would be $475 and that might fix it(might fix it???) for you but can't guarantee it would solve the problem. If the flush doesn't fix it he said it's most likely(Most likely???) the torque converter and we could change it for $1400+ tax and any additional parts"(additional parts???) I told them no thanks and that I would seek other options. I paid for the diagnostic fee and left. I did a little research online and called 6 transmission service shops to get their opinion and confirm if the symptoms were in fact the "shudder" from the torque converter failing. Each of them agreed that it most definitely was in fact the torque converter. I asked for a price quote to install a new torque converter from each of them and 5 out of 6 had the same $650 price and one was $750. I decided to save even more money by going to get the torque converter myself for $149 and then only had to pay labor which was $450 ($50 savings by picking it up myself). My experience is typical of the day to day operations at these dealerships and I feel bad for the unknowing and elderly people who get taken to the cleaners each time they bring in their vehicles. This was my 3rd time having similar dealings with this dealership and bringing to light their exorbitant fees. I kept going back just to see if it really was like this EVERY TIME so I can only assume that it's the same situation for anybody else that goes in and they simply just aren't aware. I highly suggest that anyone who goes here or any dealership for that matter gets a second opinion before agreeing to any services. Dealerships service department are only in it for the money so don't be fooled by the extremely nice and oh so helpful service rep(keep in mind he gets commission on what he sells you). Take 5 minutes and research what they are trying to sell you and call around to other places and get quotes on that same service. read more
