This hop on hop off tour was fine except for one thing, the buses didn't come around often enough. While we waited at the initial stop to get on, we saw 3 of the Old Time Trolley buses come and go. We waited about 20-25 mins. We saw the other company's buses a lot, but ours not so much. We didn't want to get off for fear of not being able to get back on in a timely manner. Helpful tour of Nashville! I liked the tour of the sights in Nashville and enjoyed checking out the Marathon shops and history tour. I rode inside because it was so hot in the summer but they have rooftop seating too. I think the itinerary is very useful for the tourists and seeing all the major places like the Parthenon and the downtown music scene. I would suggest starting at the river side point to see everything. Tickets are around $35 so it's an investment but it's good for 24 hours. read more

I wish this ran past 5pm. Overall, $39 for two days of rides is not bad. Every driver/guide we had was fantastic and each had their own stories and information to tell about the landmarks. This is a review the night trolley tour, with the amazing Andrew. The lighting of Nashville is truly beautiful at night, lights illuminating the city with an artistic grace. Great tour to take! Your able to hop on and off the bus as you please to spend as much or as little time you want at each destination. If you chose the 1 day option it's best to go as early as possible to get the most for your money. The 2 day tour is a better option but we didn't have enough time for that. Each stop has trolleys or busses coming by every 30 minutes or so to hop on or off. The best places were the Capital Mall it was amazing! And the Parthenon- but there was a huge thunder storm in the middle of summer and we couldn't get off as the streets were flooded! But an amazing experience to say the least! Do not use this company! Go over to their competitor old town trolley as they have at least 4 times as many trolleys on the street. I waited at 4 different stops for at least 45 minutes and when one Grayline Trolley came by it was full to capacity and the driver lied and told me there was another trolley right behind. I dropped another $50.00 in Uber fares getting around because they don't care. I called their 800 number several times and no one answers or calls back. It's a tad expensive at $34 per person but they had a buy one day get second day free so we decided to try it. I like the hop on hop off feature. There are 16 stops and gives you a great overview of the city. Our tour guide was very informative. We will use our 2nd day to visit some of the places we saw of interest in today's 90 min. loop . My only regret is not doing this tour at the beginning of our trip. Scheduling was a bit of a cluster and Grayline couldn't fit us in because they were booked up so we delayed our tour a couple days. Taking this tour allows you to learn the lay of the land, the history of Nashville and insider knowledge on the hot spots (and ideally the best times to hit them up!) Our passes included 2 consecutive days for hop on hop off privileges and admission to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Not bad for ~$50. read more

This was a waste of money.their schedule took more time to stop and pick you up again I don't advise getting off. Their trolleys are not all up to par the coach we rode turned into an oven it had no working air no way to open their windows we rode one block and jumped because it was so hot! They stopped to recommend a restaurant only to find out the wait to get their recommended restaurant took over an hour of waiting in line then another hour for them to pick you up! We were first told this tour would start at 9:00 am. Then the start time changed to 9:20 am because we were catching the bus near our hotel rather than at their downtown office. At 9:30 we called the office only to be told that the bus would not pick us up until 10:00 am. After boarding the bus at 10:00am, we rode for 20 minutes and were then told to get off the bus. We were at their main office - they wanted us to wait in a line to get a sticker to hold in the air for future bus boardings. We asked if we couldn't just stay on the original bus and run through the 90 minute tour . Their answer, "This bus isn't going anywhere." At 10:40, we were finally off on our 9:00 am tour. My advice is to take the Old Town Trolley Tour. They appear to run 3 to 4 times as many busses as the Grayline Tour. You will not have to wait at the bus stops twiddling your thumbs for as long a time as we did. read more

Very disappointed in this tour! Don't plan to be able to "hop on / hop off" just like that because the trolleys didn't seem to come every 20 minutes like they said then we ended up stranded for two hours at the Parthenon at the end of the day waiting for the trolley to come. A few trolleys did come but they were full so all of us waiting had to hang around waiting for the next one, which took longer than 20 minutes then that one would be full too so we had to wait longer! We are actually on the trolley finally heading back (pissed off) as we write this review! Opt for another tour if you can! Okay, so I am adding on to this review because things got worse. On the trolley back there was so much traffic that we just got off & walked the 1.5 miles back & almost beat the trolley back to the station! While I went into the tour office to register my complaint & request a refund for the terrible tour, my boyfriend had to go hurry to get the car from the parking lot by 5pm so we would not incur a ticket. Well, since the tour did not get us back by 4pm (and not by 5pm either) we ended up with a $55 parking ticket (and that was on top of the $25 we had to pay to park there)! So all in all we paid $141.83 on a crappy tour, parking & a parking ticket! My only hope is that this company will make good on our refund & by taking care of our parking ticket! :/ read more

Well I can only kind of review this. I actually never got on the trolley. Trolley tours are kind of my thing though. I do them all the time when I travel, Philadelphia and Boston being the most recent. Normally you can, regardless of where you have to buy the ticket, get on for the first time anywhere. A map is published and signs are placed as to pick up spots. Today I went to ride the trolley at 11 and was told there was no room till 1. They explained that everyone starts at the ticket location and that they filled the trolleys (arriving each 30 minutes) already up till 1. I said I'd just walk to another stop and get on there and that's when they told me there is no way I'd figure out where the stops are (as I rode a bike around town I spotted plenty of trolleys at stops). So all in all a bad system. I'm not sure how the hop on hop off thing works if each trolley is filled to the brim. They clearly need more trolleys or to just make it a narrated hour long tour and skip the hop off part. I really wanted to cash in the 25% off coupon to the trolley as I had calculated its use in my valuation of purchasing the pass. Therefore on my last day in town I went again next to the Hard Rock Cafe where the ticket window is and tried again. This time I could get on the very next trolley. I gave them my coupon from my Nashville Total Access Pass and $15. Today instead of running 30 minutes apart however as the trolleys had at the weekend they were now running 45 minutes apart. They were only running 2 trolleys! The guide I got was great. I actually managed to get him throughout my entire time on board. I rode from stop 1 to the Bicentennial Park (stop 3). I got off there and walked up to the Capitol to do a tour there (that is one far hot walk up lots and lots of steps - goes to my point that there aren't enough stops on the route). I got off around 1030 and was at the trolley stop again around 12 literally just as the same trolley was pulling up again. He was running a bit off schedule owing to a road detour he had to take earlier in the route so I just missed having to wait 30-45 more minutes for another. Once I got on board this time I rode till the 2nd to last stop, by Frist. Along that way he stopped and shut off the bus by the 95 bells of the Bicentennial Park allowing us to get off and take pictures of the Capitol and here the bells - this doesn't happen on every tour. At one point, once I had already left the trolley for the day, he saw me walking down Broadway and even though we weren't near an official stop honked at me and motioned asking if I wanted to get on! All in all the guide (Dan I believe) was great - 5 stars. The company however really needs to redesign it's program to be on par with other cities. For one, if you divide the miles the trolley covers by the number of stops you get a much worse ratio that what other companies in other cities offer. A few things to know... 1. Even though you buy tickets by the waterfront, the tour 'starts' at the Country Music Hall of Fame (we found this out after paying $12 for parking right there). When I asked the tour sales person why this would be (I had my senior citizen mother with me who has trouble walking), she told me it was something new..... 2. Trolleys take 45 minutes to come back - so if you get off... make sure you budget 45 minutes. But in our case, the trolley didn't stop to pick us up, so we had the option of waiting 90 minutes, or just hoping in a cab. So another $10 wasted on a cab to get back to the waterfront. Oh, and by the way, there was no sign where to pick up the trolley... so I literally ran after the trolley to try to get them to stop - flailing my arms about, and they still kept going. All and all, the tour guide (Dan) was great... but the tour was the worst set up I have ever been to. I got a refund it was so miserable! read more

This was worth $20 for adults because the trolley does go out to Centennial Park and that was on our list of things to see. Otherwise, I could have probably walked to many of the drop off/pick up points that we were interested in seeing. The tour starts at 2nd and Broadway by Hard Rock. You can ride the trolley for the entire 45 minute-1 hour duration or you can hop off at the various stops. The trolley stops to pick people up every thirty minutes. Your ticket lasts for 24 hours, so in case you miss something you can catch it the next day. Stops include: 2nd and Broadway, Ryman Auditorium, Bicentennial Capitol Mall/Nashville Farmer's Market, Antique Archaeology, Centennial Park, Frist Center, and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Along the route, drivers give detailed history and facts about various areas and points of interest along the route, especially along Music Row and by Vanderbilt. Not sure it's worth the price but four stars for the drivers who are fun and knowledgeable! read more

This by far was the worst and most expensive mistake we made when we arrived in Nashville. I regret spending $39 per adult and $20 per kid (x3) for tickets on a trolley tour where it didn't run when it said it would and we spent one hour waiting for a trolley that was 30 minutes late. I called the main office line and they hung up on me once and the second call only told me that I must have missed it. NOPE... there are 100 people standing here and we all didn't miss it! Once it came a half hour late, a handful of people got off and everyone tried to cram on. The trolley driver could only take a handful and people became angry. He was very rude back to them and shit his doors quickly. We gave up and called an Uber. Do not take this trolley service. It is not worth your time or money. Honestly, we wasted a large part of the day and it definitely ruined it. Our Uber driver was super nice on the flip side. read more

The only reason why this deserves 1 star and not 0 is because the drivers were actually decent. We used this last week and I wish there was a way I could get my money back. I called the day before because I knew it was CMA fest. I asked where to park because I knew how difficult parking would be and expensive because of the happenings. I was told to park at the hard rock cafe and that parking would be about 25/day (most likely). We decided not to mess with parking and walked from our lunch spot down to the riverfront. I kept thinking the whole time...how are they getting in/out? it's blocked off...but surely they would've posted something on their website, emailed me, OR told me when I called to ask where to park. We get down to the riverfront and what do you know- they aren't picking up there!!! So we were told to go find an information booth...info booth worthless....finally I called the girl that answered told me to go left down Broadway from where we were then take a right and she was sitting in a booth......hmmm ok did that we are in front of the music city hall...no booth....call them again...no you were supposed to keep walking and take a right on the next street----well geeze thanks for the super specific directions. So 3 miles and several blisters later we made it to their booth....no free water...c'mon it's blaring heat out here! their receipt printer takes F_O_R_E_V_E_R.....THEN we have to walk another block ot the pick up...oh and the trolleys' aren't running every 20 minutes like advertised...more like every 45. So our first day of using the trolley was mainly spent trying to find the darn thing! Second day- stops are every 40 minutes and not every 20. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I feel like at least a partial refund is in order. read more

We only had one day in Nashville and a Trolley tour is the way to go. Our tour guide Brad, was wonderful and very knowledgeable . We hit the high points in Nashville and were able to hop on and off to do shopping, have lunch, etc. I highly recommend the tour!! Although the tour guide did a good job telling us what we were seeing, the trolley was so uncomfortably hot all I could think about was how soon it would end. Unlike the Grayline brochure stated, this trolley was NOT open air - the windows would not open and the air conditioning, although supposedly on, was useless. It was in the low 70's outside, a lovely day, but inside the trolley had to be at least 80 degrees. Neither the driver nor the guide seemed to care, and made some joke about having been given a trolley without windows that opened. Yes, we could have hopped off, but would then have to wait a half hour until the next one came along with no guarantee it would be any better, or even if there would be seats available. We should have taken the Old Town Trolley tour; when we got off, we saw one of their trolleys behind us with all the windows open and with the passengers enjoying the fresh air breeze. read more

Been on these types of tours before so know better that hoping to catch the last one back if the city is busy. We had so much fun on the trolley. We paid $55 pp so we could do the unadvertised walking tour and the RCA studio B tour. It took about an hour or so for the walking tour but we got so much information about downtown and the Ryman Auditorium it was great!! The tickets are good for 2 days so you can really take your time and enjoy the sites. We were the last trolley of the day at 4 so we were the only 2 on and our drive Wally still told stories like the whole trolley was full. Such a neat way to learn a little more and see a some of the sites Nashville has to offer. read more

So my girlfriends and I decided to take the trolley. We walked over to the ticket counter and there was a red smiley face sitting on the window. The smiling face was more like a kindergarten scribble, so we had no idea what the smiley face meant. The lady in charge staggers out of the Hard Rock Cafe. She got to the counter, took down the smiley face and asked how she could help us. We told her that we wanted tickets for 6 people to ride the trolley. The woman quickly snapped, "I can't let 6 people ride the trolley today!" So then when we tried to inquire if we needed reservations she snapped again and said, "We're sold out!" We were all so taken back on how rude this woman was to us that we just simply walked away! read more

This Trolley hop was a breath of fresh air! The tour guides were friendly and courteous! We paid $49/person for a 48 hour pass to the Country Music Hall of Fame, a walking tour, and the Trolley hop! It took a little over an hour and a half for the trolley and we used the Music Hall of Fame pass both days! The only place we got off was Antique Archaeology (American Pickers fans!) while stopped there we went to the Bang Candy Store and Garage Coffee Shop! So there is more than one thing to see at each stop! I also heard the Bicentennial Mall and Farmers Market was an awesome stop as well from many people on the trolley with us! The trolley hop also was not far from our hotel which was awesome! I recommend this to anyone who wants to see Nashville's biggest sites and learn some history! read more

Very disappointed in the Hop On-Hop Off trolley. Too few trolley cars, too far apart. Passenger load was high. While we were on the trolley, the first 5 stops had people waiting that could not get on due to a full trolley. The trolley was so packed, standing room only, you couldn't see anything the driver was pointing out. We have used this same company in other cities and had great experiences but until they get their act together in Nashville, I would choose something else. This was the worst trolley tour i have ever taken and I have taken many! We had to wait over 45 minutes for the trolley to come. When it got there it was so crowded there was no place to sit. Many people were standing in the aisle. You could not see out the windows so it wasn't much of a tour. Everyone complained of the time it took to wait for a trolley. We didn't even make a full circuit since it dropped us off at a different place than we started. We were then told if we wanted to go back to the place we started it would be a 35 minute wait.
