Hadn't been to '501' in a few years but will definitely be back soon! I ordered a cheese omelet and asked for a ladle of hollandaise sauce on top, rye toast, homefries and a side of bacon. Hubby ordered a chorico cheese omelet, home fries with raisin toast. I dove in so sorry about the photo! My omelet was done perfectly and the chef definitely knows how to cook eggs, absolutely perfect! Neither of us usually eat homefries and we both ate ours since the potatoes were fried but moist; No additional seasonings or even onions but tasted like fresh potatoes, delish. Our breads were a nice size and perfectly buttered and toasted. Coffee was kind of cool but our friendly waitress Jess, refilled with the hot stuff as soon as I asked. Check was surprisingly reasonable since my side of bacon was an additional $4 and ladle of hollandaise was a little extra too. Total bill including tip was under $35. Ladies room was very decent and the restaurant seemed to have lots of locals. Plenty of seating for single diners or families. Stop in for either breakfast or lunch, place closes at 2pm. They accept cash or cards.

The Sweet Bread French toast was really good, accept that one side was a little over done slight burnt taste. But I ate it all so I can't really complain. The chourico was absolutely delicious, would Definitely order that again. Can not wait to come back and try their lunch menu.

It wasn't good. If you couldn't tell by the empty plate, I am kidding. This place was perfect in every way! The Dockmaster hit the spot! I love bacon so it definitely made my day! Hash browns were on point and the bottomless coffee served by the attentive and friendly staff, was the icing on the cake. Location is great too! Right by the water! Will definitely come back!

The service is always friendly. This time, they had a new special that made me post this review. It was seared scallops, served over a smoky corn puree with BACON and heirloom tomatoes. I have had many dishes at the common pub, but this one was my favorite. The scallops were large, tender, and beautifully seared. The corn puree was not overly smoky but full of flavor, and the bacon added the flavor only bacon can. Best of all, this huge dish was $26. That is expensive for the Common Pub, but this dish would have been much more expensive anywhere else. If you haven't tried it yet, you are truly missing out.

The menu said the burger is 11.99 and comes with cheese, but it was rung up as 13.99 plus 50 cents for cheese. (This is the case with both the online menu and the IRL menu.) They have a few games going on the TVs. There's a pool table in the back as well. Service was slow (I think they might be understaffed?) but the waitress was very friendly! TLDR come here if you want to hang, not if you want a quick bite/are in a rush

I also loved that it had a giant ice cube with "SA" melted onto it. My friend ordered their old fashioned and it was probably the best one I ever had - it wasn't overly bitter, but instead had a sweet citrus finish. The staff is really kind and attentive. I was expecting it to be a dive (I do love a good dive bar!), but Stingy Alley is beautiful and classy, with an amazing cocktail menu and small bites as well. I loved the dark wood decor, the low lighting throughout the establishment, and the accent lights at the bar are so pretty. There are many different types of seating - bar, high top tables, benches, regular tables, and a cute and comfy corner booth with throw pillows, which is where we opted to sit. Service was excellent. I was expecting to have to order at the bar, but Stingy Alley has table service. My husband ordered the espresso martini and I went with the Dubai chocolate martini. Both were outstanding - I could easily have tried a few more of the dessert cocktails, but alas we had a 40 minute drive home so that will have to wait for another visit. Will definitely come back to Stingy Alley - thanks for a lovely end to our night!

It had giant comfy couches, tall ceilings, and beautiful, upscale decor that made this feel like a glamorous experience. Our server was extremely personable and knowledgeable, what a delight! He answered our tons of questions and had great wine recommendations for my friend. We got conflicting information from the hostess vs the server on whether food was available and what time they closed, which seemed a little odd. Ultimately I was able to order off the abbreviated trivia food menu, and really enjoyed the Winter Vegetable Flatbread with sweet potato, Swiss chard, kale, and gruyere - very unique recipe with lots of distinct flavors that came together beautifully! The crust was soft and I dipped it in some beer cheese that came with my friend's pretzel (the cheese seemed a little watery to me but had a distinct beer flavor, so bonus points for actually being a beer cheese!) I couldn't tell if a couple of my beers got rearranged on my flight board, so wasn't sure which I liked and didn't. One was smokier than I would have thought it would be but had a sweet taste. The Boch was a bit bitter for my taste. I really enjoyed the White Stout most of all to my surprise - normally a heavier beer is just okay and not the favorite of my taste buds, but this one was so unique in style and crispiness. The beers all seemed very European leaning and authentic in flavor, although a bit on the heavier / less sweet side (fitting for the colder weather but not my personal favorite). The trivia host seemed to have a lot of regulars and the volume wasn't overbearing, I'll have to check it out again and actually play next time. I really loved the cozy upper brewery area - check it out before the renovations finish downstairs LOL!

We just had another fabulous dinner at Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant--our second time dining here…read moresince last fall, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. We arrived a little early for our 4:00 p.m. reservation, and the place was already packed. While we waited by the bar, a very nice waitress took our drink order--a lemon drop martini, beautifully crafted, well-balanced, and pleasantly strong. We were seated shortly after and, of course, ordered another. (Both times, I took several sips before remembering to take a photo!) Our waitress, Mikela, was truly lovely--sincere, sweet, and very courteous. She was attentive throughout the meal without ever being intrusive, which made the experience feel relaxed and effortless. At the end, I told her I wished I could give her 6 stars, but Yelp only allows 5. For dinner, we both ordered the seared rare ahi tuna steak. I had mine with garlic bread, while my husband chose mashed potatoes. I also added the $9.95 salad buffet, which is such a great deal--you definitely won't leave hungry. I especially love their buffet-style salad bar, which offers nearly every option one could want. Both of our ahi tuna steaks were fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Once again, I dug into my tuna before remembering to take a photo! We finished the meal with a cheesecake to share--another delicious ending to a wonderful dinner. We're already planning our next visit--there are still so many dishes and drinks we'd love to try.

Our waiter was kind, attentive, and very patient with us as we managed two hangry kids. One employee who was on break even helped me find a quiet spot to take a work call which I really appreciated. The kids' meal came out almost immediately. My son got the cheeseburger, and I was surprised by how big it was. It was adult sized, and he enjoyed and finished all of it. The mussels were the standout of the meal and the best I've personally had. They were incredibly fresh with no fishy smell and the broth was so flavorful. The bread that came with it was perfect for soaking up every last bit of the broth. The salmon was very fresh and cooked well. The shrimp scampi was also really good. The clam chowder was an 8 out of 10 for me. Not the best I've ever had but definitely one of the better ones. Pricing was mid range and felt fair for the quality of the food and the portions. Overall, we were really happy with the meal. Great service, fresh seafood, generous kids' portions, and a fun atmosphere. I'd definitely come back, especially for the mussels.

The drink menu was not very extensive. Our Asian salad cups appetizer tasted exactly like an Asian salad mix I've bought at the grocery store and looked like it too - I'm convinced that's exactly how they prepared this. My veggie burger had burnt edges and wasn't too enjoyable flavor-wise. It didn't help my overall impression that when I got takeout here another time, they totally butchered my boyfriend's name when we ordered over the phone, and we had a hard time picking up our order because of this (how you get "Stephanie" from "Anthony," I just really don't know). I think this place just gets lucky having a good location across from Independence Park and being close to but just out of the way from downtown. Can't say I was impressed by the food - there are too many other good options in Bristol, I just can't say I'd recommend this to others. Perhaps it's improved since I visited, but it's a pass for me based on experiences I've had.
