My wife has been bringing her 2000 Blazer here for years. A few months ago, shortly after she was in for an oil change, I was going to top off her wiper washer fluid and discovered that the hood release handle was broken and the cable had to be pulled with pliers to get it to release the hood latch. I knew that it had to have been broken when she was in for her recent oil change. I told my wife about it and she insisted that she contact Grease Monkey to let them know that the broken latch HAD to have happened when she was last there for service. Upset, I told her not to bother because I was sure that they would deny that it happened when she was there. She called the manager anyway and told him about the broken latch. To make a long story short, the manager had her bring the car in and they replaced the broken latch and cable with no hassle whatsoever! I returned to this Grease Monkey after the Manager Guy called and asked if I could bring the car back to repair/replace the missing bolts and splash guard. The car seems to be restored back to its original state and Guy showed me photos of the work. I am certain this would not have happened if he had been on site when I first went to the store for an oil change. He is trying to turn things around. read more

Where to begin... tl;dr: avoid this shop like the plague. This place is run and operated by drunk, brain dead children. I wish I could give negative stars to these clowns. Go to the Jiffy Lube on 50th and Bridge instead. Was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes. I booked an oil change with this shop through car advise. When I arrived at the shop, I let them know what was going on, gave them my fleet number and they said they'd be right with me. After a few minutes a different tech comes in, I explain again. He says he's got no idea what I'm talking about and he'll have to go talk to his manager. A few minutes later he came back and asked for the information again. I explained to him how to process the service and even provided him with a number he could call for more clarification. It was at this point I realized I'd have better luck getting my oil changed here if I was speaking to the spiders on the ceiling. After going back and forth to his manager about 6 times, looking like he had a concussion and about 14 beers, he eventually told me..."Yea, we don't do that" Which is an outright lie. I again explained to him how to process it, again gave him the phone number to call and asked if he was going to listen to me and attempt to figure this out or not. He went back to talk to his manager another time, and then came back to me and asked for my keys. I told him that he needed to process the fleet order first before working on my car. As I knew without a doubt he was trying to get the work done first, so that when they couldn't figure out what I was saying, they'd make me pay them again when I had already prepaid for the service. I urge you to avoid this shop like the plague. These people have absolutely ZERO clue what they're doing. If i can't trust them to make a phone call, i sure as hell would never let them touch my vehicle. If you are the owner of this shop and are reading this, here is my advice: #1: you need to fire the entire staff. Your techs look like they're intoxicated or have brain damage or something. And your manager is so incapable of customer service that even after a dozen times or more going back and forth between the tech and me, not once did he come out to talk to me. And then I watched him scream at this tech at the top of his lungs as I was leaving the parking lot. #2: you need to train your employees on how to do basic functions of their jobs. You're 5 seconds away from a lawsuit if you somehow miraculously don't have one already. #3: you need to show your employees what good customer service is. I'm not the least bit upset that the guy didn't know what I was talking about. It's likely not a very common thing they see. What is incredibly disappointing is the fact that instead of saying "well, I've never done that before, let me find out what I need to do to get it done" he flat out lied to me and just said yea we don't do that sorry. All because he was too lazy to make a phone call. And then had the audacity to try to work on my car when he couldn't even pick up a phone. read more

OMG,, stop and go somewhere else!!! These people are incompetent and extremely irresponsible about someone else's vehicles!!! They take there time and then send you on your way with more problems then when you came in with!! I am so upset that this $&!$ happened wow !!! How are they still employed???!!! I asked what took so long for just a oil change when I was the only one there!, and of course One excuse after another, I noticed they took off the skid plate and asked why and the veteran a.k.a. shop manager I suppose had an excuse for everything I asked and told me that that's what they had to do to remove the oil. I've been getting my vehicles serviced here for many years and I have received noting but great service and quality products. After coming to these guys for years I did finally have a fairly major issue then the fill bolt was not completely secured after an oil change. I called them up and the owner himself came to me and made everything right. He also compensated me with additional services for free for my inconvenience. I think the thing to remember here is not that they made a mistake, because we all do, but that they took care of the problem and exceeded me expectations. So needless to say I am still, and probably always will be a loyal customer. They provide a variety of services at decent price in a timely manner. What else can you ask for!? read more

Nobody meets me outside they all just look at me from inside the bay, I walk in and tell the employee that's looking at his computer with another employee that I need an oil change and he he looks out out as all hell and asks me what oil does it take, I wasn't positive so I went back out to my vehicle(things they would know if they met me outside and looked at the windshield sticker from the last oil change) went back in and told him what oil and how many miles. After it was complete the tech came in from the bay, didn't say a word, I let him know I had a coupon and showed him the email, of course that code couldn't be found in his computer so without saying a word he settles on a code that was for $10 off and my coupon was for $20 off. Not wanting to deal with the impersonal, bad, non existent customer service I just shake my head, pay and leave no thank you come get screwed again or anything. Got there at 530, they closed at 7 mind you, and they were acting like I was putting them out. Went out to the vehicle, it's 30 degrees outside, window is wide open and they put a new sticker up and didn't remove the old one. Maybe all small things but Grease Monkey you have to pay better attention to your businesses that you franchise out to independent owners. There were two cars in the bays when I got there and no customers in the waiting area and nobody that came in and paid so clearly they were making sure their cars were tuned up. Save your money people and do it yourself or go to 84th and Federal. They aren't franchised out and they will actually do what they are supposed to and give you great service. read more

Center Manger Ted Woods is my new Guardian Angel! Midway from home to DIA my '07 Saturn overheated. I arrived with smoke/transmission oil/coolant billowing from engine. Ted and his staff dealt calmly with a very stressed out 78 year old in the middle of a panic attack! They carefully examined for possible cause, returned car to driveability and got me on my way. Did not let me leave without test driving and lots of cautionary warnings about what to watch for on the way home. Even had me promise to call Center when I got safely home and let him know I was OK. The next day he also talked with local mechanic to confirm his findings and work done. Tried to offer me coffee but decided I didn't need any caffeine! This man and his staff were exceedingly patient and took extra time to explain work as they tried to locate source of problem. Guardian Angels appear when you need them and Ted Woods is clearly is mine! read more

Save your time and money. This has been the worst experience I have had at any of the Grease Monkeys I have been too. Constantly changing employees to more and more unqualified mechanics. The last time I had service my 2012 Ford Flex started leaking oil, when I took it back and asked why it was leaking, he explained my car was getting old. I took my car to a real mechanic for the next oil change and was told not only did they strip the bolt they put in a bigger size to try and fix it causing a worse leak. New oil pan later not very happy. Steer clear. read more

Took it back and after looking it over, told us, "that happens when cars get old, it's normal" (we have a 2012). That'd be a pretty big coincidence, but since then, we have had a mechanic friend look it over and said they were 100% to blame. terrible customer service. i came today and yesterday. waited outside for a good 15-20 minutes and no one had the courtesy to at least tell me it's going to be a wait. left both times, the employees don't care since it's less work for them to do but it hurts your business in the long run. It's 5 PM on a weekday and I just want to go home. But I just got off work, and I have been putting off an oil change for a week. Sitting in the waiting room of a service shop is the last place I'd like to be. However, when driving up to Grease Monkey, I was greeted outside not just by the technician that would be providing his services, but also by the manager. These two men went above and beyond for me. Upon getting my car back, I found not only did they do what I paid them to do, but they also cleaned the windows, topped off all of my fluids, inspected my filters and lights and even vacuumed the car! All of this on a busy night at the shop, and I was still out of there within 30 my minutes. Customer service is something I truly value and reward with my business. I have taken several vehicles here and usually had a good result except for a recent visit for a newer outlander with less than 9k where they did not blink the oil change code. I did not take it back for this but because the service engine soon light came on within a few miles of driving. The manager checked the code promptly and explained that for some reason the gas cap was loose and tightened it and blinked the oil reset making things right. read more

Hands down the BEST Grease Monkey I've ever been to. The staff there are amazing. The manager seems to set a tone of friendliness, professionalism and getting done what needs to be done the right way. The culture there is awesome. I can't count the times they've gone above and beyond when they didn't have to in order to make me a satisfied customer. I only wish I knew the managers name. He's an Hispanic guy(not that it matters in general, just trying to be descriptive) with natural customer service skills. But he doesn't do it alone obviously, the whine staff is on point. Good job guys!! I take my cars there every time and make sure family and friends do as well. I can't say enough good things about my experiences there so I'll stop now before I bore everyone, or bore them even more lol. read more

Upon moving here I was looking for a place to get my oil changed, I came here since it was right around the block. The cost for oil change was about the same as the Brighton ford dealership and it was not any faster. My mom got her oil changed here as well a week later when we dropped it off, being weary from my first experience we checked the oil and it was just as dark as when we took it in. It seems they used recycled oil instead of fresh oil out of quarts. After this I never took it back to this location again and now take it a block down the road to Brighton ford where I know that the work is being performed as promised read more

I will NEVER step a foot in a Grease Monkey again. This summer I got an oil change at this location and headed out the next day on a road trip. Funny sounds then my oil light came on in the middle of nowhere Nebraska. My oil was bone dry...had to put 4 quarts in. The manager lied to me and said they have video filling my oil. There is NO way. My car is not leaking/burning oil and I have not had to add oil since. Crappy service and then dishonesty to cover it up. SUCKS!!!!! read more

This is the last time I use this location. I always tell the mechanic to use whatever oil is supposed to be in my vehicle. For my vehicle. I guess my manufacturer asks for synthetic oil. Today, during my oil change, the mechanic asks if I want synthetic because they didn't use it last time. I take my car to someone who is supposed to be an expert so things are taken care of correctly. They were not helpful when I tried to figure out if there was damage to my car. So frustrated. Just had a "full service" oil change done for a 2013 Ford C-Max. Got the bill. It was $90.85. I was shocked. When I got home I saw that I had the same car oil change done at this same Grease Monkey for $77.70, which I think is still too expense. It took 4 1/2 quarts. The retail cost of this oil (5 quarts) is about $25. That leaves about $66 for around 15 minutes work or roughly $264 per hour. I think next time I'll shop around. read more

Learn from my mistake and avoid this one. Even though Grease Monkey's in general have a pretty sketchy reputation, I've been to, and been perfectly satisfied with, a few locations across the front range. This location, however, defines "sketchy". In my case, they used the wrong oil (after explicitly ordering otherwise), stripped a lug nut (because they failed to use the lug key which I left for them on the driver's seat which means they literally sat on it but didn't bother to use it) and managed to blow out a power steering line and then promptly deny any responsibility. All in one visit no less. On the bright side, while waiting for 2-hrs I was treated with a constant performance of their "expert technicians" trying to hard-sell unsuspecting elderly people into everything on the menu, before their hoods were even raised. In the end, what should have been very minor maintenance turned into a significantly more expensive trip to the dealer to "un-Monkey" my ride, which in retrospect is where I should have probably gone in the first place. read more

My car was overheating and we were visiting my mother in law from Utah. Andrew was amazing and figured out that we needed a new thermostat but also that one of the cooling fans in my car was down. He worked on the car and made sure it was going to be able to get home without issue. He did extra work and didn't charge me extra. My mother in law is a dedicated customer and I can see why! They do a great job, with one BUT. I suppose this is true of all Grease Monkey locations, but at my last oil change, they wanted to charge me $59 to dump a bottle of fuel additive in my gas tank. I can buy OEM Hyundai additive online for 18.95 and free shipping. I told them not to put it in and then I got "the speech" about how I was going to ruin my car. I'm not 12 and I think when you decline a service, they should just leave it at that. Don't appreciate the guilt trip. read more

Used to be the only Grease Monkey location I ever went to, but over the last year (2016-2017) the service, attitudes and overall commitment to customer experience has been awful. Examples include lack of reviewing previous service, horrible personalities, not listening to flyers that come in the mail, etc. Very disappointing to have to find another provider after 15 years. read more

Ladies! Do you love being verbally patted on the head and treated like you're an idiot? You'll LOVE this Grease Monkey. Manager Andrew honest to goodness seems to think he's being nice. But when I brought my car in to have the transmission fluid level checked after the transmission stopped shifting (it's a model that doesn't have a dipstick, or I'd have done it myself,) I was quizzed extensively by him about my plans if the fluid was full, asked repeatedly if my husband or father was coming to pick me up, and subjected to a long lecture about what I should do next. Had I asked for any of the advice, it would have been welcome. But I've been coming here for oil changes for a while, and have seen men get the "bro" treatment, and acknowledged as equals, while women are patronized and talked down to. The mechanical work that's been done here has always been without issue, and if you're a guy, I'm sure it's a great place to do business. But I'm done giving them my money. read more
