Joshua was very polite, professional, and friendly from the moment I walked in. He welcomed me right away, clearly explained all the charges for my vehicle, and even took the time to share helpful information about my vehicle's service history. As a business owner, I mentioned that we have a fleet account. Joshua wasn't immediately sure how to process the charges through the business fleet account, but he assured me he would find out. When the service was complete, he went over everything with me again and let me know he had successfully processed the service through our fleet account. Jordan was the technician who serviced my vehicle and was also very professional and friendly when he brought my car back out. Great job by the team -- I was in and out in a timely manner. It's really sad that shops don't know how to do things as simple as a oil changes without messing things up. They over torqued my oil pan plug so much not even a 6 foot breaker bar or impact driver could get it off. Now I'm dealing with a nearly stopped plugged because shops like this love to over torque plugs. On top of that my oil filter was way over torqued as well. The place was also really dirty on my visit as well. Just drive the few extra minutes to a valvoline where they actually take care of your car. read more

I used to go to this location regularly. They used to do a good job and provide all the services they offered. I always get my tires rotated when I got an oil change. I went there today and tried getting an oil change and tire rotation. They said their lift wasn't operating today so they couldn't do the tire rotation. This was the 4th visit in a row where their lift was broken and they couldn't do the tire rotation. I went to their other location on 404 Bromley after leaving the previous location. They are doing the tire rotation and oil change. They told me the other Bromley location is lazy and doesn't like to do a lot of things they advertise so they just say their equipment is broken or give another excuse. Sad that other branches of Grease Monkey seem to know that this is an ongoing issue but nothing is done to fix it. read more

So disappointed with this location, they seem to lack quality in their job performance the last 2 times we've used this location. - had to return the next day due to an oil change leak, they tried to make me feel like it was leftover residue in the drip pan, but I had enough oil on my garage floor that showed differently - after having to get what I know was wrong with the vehicle fixed properly, I return to my vehicle with grease finger/hand marks on my seats and driver interior door We will definitely NOT be returning to this location!! 05-14-23 It was 10am I was waiting patiently for a coolant flush since Grease Monkey offers this to there costumers. I was told by the only two lazy employees looking more hammered then anything. "it can't be done today we only work on that mondays?" Like wtf i knew damn well they have nobody else to attend so why y'all turn me down in less 30 sec of the conversation, no reason why they couldn't do it. It was just a "Monday thing ". I called the other grease monkey down the road here in Brighton and they attended me with still attending other people ! Haha truly shows you the laziness these people have. Leaky Oil Change! Took vehicle in on Friday for a routine oil change, and turns out due to carelessness, oil had been leaking and dripping.... leaving oil stains on my driveway and garage!! We went back in to have it looked at and the manager apologized and offered a discount for next oil change plus a bottle of spray nine. Only thing is, what was supposed to be an routine oil change, has led to aggravation and more time, money and effort spent on scrubbing and cleaning out driveway and garage..... and the kicker is.... the stains are still not gone!! I sent one of my technicians to Grease Monkey to get an oil change with a truck that had 9660 miles. They added an air filter and a cabin air filter without asking. I called the manager "Steve" and he said that they did ask my technician. After talking with my tech again, he is positive that it was never brought up. I feel like we were scammed for an extra $100 for no reason. When I asked the manager why they would replace the air filter at 9k miles he said that it's recommended every 5k miles and that the cabin air filter was recommended every 10kmiles. According to manufacturers, the air filter should be changed every 12-15K and the cabin filter between 15-30k miles. I feel like we were scammed and then lied to to cover it up. I won't be using this location ever again. read more

Got my oil changed today. While the service seemes fine and was quick, NONE of the five people working on my car were wearing facemasks or gloves. I remained in my car while they worked on it. Having contact with employees not wearing any protective equipment while they stood directly outside of my car window was perplexing. I feel like I had more contact with more employees than I typically do when I just hand my keys off to someone and sit in the lobby. Granted the employees were never in my car, the whole thing seemed kind of pointless. If you have concerns about COVID-19, DO NOT go to this location. read more

Took my SUV for a full 100k mole fluid change. Charged $600 and did $300 I damages to my oil plug and stripped it and denied it. Clearly they used lock tight (even on the oil plug) and then denied it. There's a blue line of it on my rear differential that says otherwise. Tried calling the regional manager and he has not responded. Buyer beware I'd take your vehicle somewhere else than here! read more

This place is HORRIBLE! I started getting my oil changed there over 10 years ago and the service and staff were AWESOME! After the original manager left everything has gone downhill. The staff is constantly changing. More importantly they can't even change my oil correctly. On 4 separate occasions they've changed the oil and blew the gasket. When I return they still make me sit and wait only for them to quickly change it with a simple "sorry". After all of these years they tell me "oh the optima gasket is very similar to a Hyundai/Accord-some other cars gasket" but they made a note so this doesn't happen again...and it took them years to figure this out? My car started leaking oil again...the filter was extremely lose. Lastly, I was curious if when they rotate my tires, if they pay attention to the tread...I know they used to bc in the past they've mentioned I might want to look into new tires. Well this current manager tells me "I look at my tires everyday, you should to" (all said with a smirk on his face). It was an honest question...just wondering what level of customer service they offered. Obviously customer service is not their forte. I will absolutely NEVER EVER go to this place again! read more

I will not trust my vehicles to these guys again. I have only been there twice and was apprehensive to return after poor customer service the first time. I returned against my better judgement to be greeted again by rude employees. When my vehicle was done I witnessed the tech run it into a shop vac and slam it from reverses from forward carelessly like he was in a major hurry. Once I confronted the tech he tried to tell me he was doing that to get my vehicle to me quicker and denied hitting the shop vac. I told him I would not be returning with any of my vehicles and he refused to accept payment and told me to have a nice day and stormed off into the shop. Was driving across the country from LA to Detroit in a 1985 4runner. Stopped here to get the oil changed and just get it inspected. They changed the oil and were checking the rest of the fluid when they couldn't get the transfer case plug off. They told me it was stripped and they were working to get it off. They brought me into the shop and showed me the bolt they were working on. These guys couldn't get it off with the shop tools so one of the employees went home and got a grinder so they could get the bolt off. The manager, Bryan, said he wasn't letting me drive across the country without checking the transfer case fluid. They got the bolt off, checked the fluid which was low, topped it up and sent me on my way. I really can't say enough about these guys. They went above and beyond for a customer they will probably never see again. That says a lot about a shop. Obviously they prey on those they think are naive and charge bogus fees and have no regard for the safety of their customers by not wearing a mask. Never going here again. read more

I went in for a transmission service and a oil change not long ago. I beat up my Jeep a lot so I was scared they couldn't fix the transmission. They found the problems and my Jeep is climbing rocks again. Ted is my go to guy. He's worked my rig for years. The boys cleaning windows and vacuuming save me a extra trip every time. Very disappointed in this place. My son went there for an oil change ONLY. They told him that he needed an engine flush, a radiator flush, a fuel system cleaner, all unnecessary because my husband just replaced the radiator, cleaned the engine, filled everything up and cleaned everything. As soon as I pulled my car up. The person who was taking our information complained that they can never enjoy a damn cigarette break because we don't stop coming through. Then they complained because they were doing a poor job of directing the car and it ended up in the wrong place in the bay. They were very unprofessional. Until, what looked like the boss, came into the bay, did they start being more polite and cleaning out windows. The staff aside from the manager were very unprofessional and rude. Make sure you take your owner's manual in with you and review your maintenance plan before you agree to anything. At 30,000 miles it was "recommended" that I have the fluid in the differentials replaced. $90 a pop. I thought "Ok, Id rather pay for maintenance than repairs.". I get home and my husband said, "No way, not necessary." So I looked it up in my manual, and I called the local Dodge dealer. Both the dealership and the manual say it is unnecessary to change at 30,000 miles. The only reason I should have changed that fluid was if my truck was a fleet vehicle, taxi, etc. I am retired so imagine how much driving I am doing and especially now with the scamdemic. I was not asked in what capacity I used my truck. My manual says change "only if used as a fleet,...". However, the manual does say to change it at 60,000. I went back to speak to the manager about this but good luck getting a word in edgewise. He just kept talking and BSing me about the "only if" language. Then he called me later with more BS and finally said, "So you want a free service?" I stated that I was more than happy to pay for the oil change I went in for but didn't think I should pay for the unnecessary service. I ended the phone call with" I'm done. I will chalk this up to lesson learned on my part." and hung up. I won't go back. P.S. I was contacted by a representative from the company when I posted a review on their website. This place is horrible go somewhere else. I originally took my car here for the past five years. The last few times I've taken it there, they're always busy, nobody's happy that works there,everybody's complaining about having to work (if you don't like working at grease monkey get an education and work somewhere else otherwise suck it up and put a smile on your face). The service sucks. You try to ask about something and they just blow smoke. the printer is older than my dead grandmother and always takes 17 hours to print A single sheet of paper. Come on we are in the 21st-century where technology is huge, get your shit together. My wife took her car in and they tried to say she had two head gaskets on her Subaru. Some of the folks feel like it's necessary to take advantage of a woman thinking she might not know and they're always trying to sell you something you don't need. Have been going here for oil changes and fluid changes since 2012. The last time I went they lost one my original lug nuts and replaced it with one that did not match and not even tell me. They also did not put on skid plate properly and was left dangling which caused several scrapes. Returned following day to get plate attached properly and screws/bolts they used did not match. There is so much unprofessionalism going on with this store it is mind boggling. From the initial experience, to the owner pushing the situation off to someone else, to asking me to leave a message on a voicemail that doesn't tell me who it is I am leaving the message for with what company. No personal attention given to customers in this establishment. I took in my VW here to get my oil changed and will never return again. I came for a simple oil change and they tried to tell me it would be 200 for the special oil and special filter. I told them I have never paid that much the past year. They said it's because it already had the wrong oil. When I pointed out they were the only people who have changed my oil the past few years the manager and mechanic both yelled at me. I was disappointed they would yell at me in front of other customers and my children. I'm not sure if it is the I'm a woman so I don't know cars thing but that was so rude and embarrassing! If the oil was wrong originally it was their fault they hadn't been servicing my car correctly for the past year...and 200 for an oil change? Were they pouring gold into my car? We have given them 2 separate opportunities. First try they left the oil cap off. Luckily it remained in the compartment. Second try was amazing. They took care of me and were very customer oriented. Everything was perfect until my power steering started to act up. If figured out that they put power steering fluid in a vehicle that takes ATF Dexteon fluid. When I called to tell them, their true colors come out. They were rude and Blamed me. I will not nor would I ever recommend using them. There are 2 grease monkeys in Brighton. While waiting, I watched an employee drive a customer's truck out of the bay at a high rate of speed, talking on the cell phone and running into a curb on the way around the building. I would have chosen 0 zero stars if it was possible. In February I took in my 1956 chevy Belair for a simple oil change and new battery. My car was taken in to be fixed right away, but the mechanics working on my car kept coming out and asking me questions. Are you sure its a 56? Are you sure about the type of oil? etc... To make my point they seemed to be lacking the confidence to do such simple repairs. A long time later my car was finally done but the mechanic came to tell me that the battery they were putting in did not fit and had they had to do some modifications to get the battery in. It is now July and I have only put 400 miles on it mainly going to car shows and the battery is completely dead! It has actually been dead for over two months. My dad came to check the car out and noticed - The battery was put in WRONG! Ask any other person the car can still run being a 56 having the battery in wrong but it still causes problems until if finally dies. Today my dad took the battery in because it has a warranty of five years and just wanted it charged or exchanged. The grease monkey would not warranty the new battery because he is putting it in himself (why would we trust you to do it again?) instead if we wanted the warranty we would need to tow the car there for them to do it (I think not- just like anyone else we are trying to save money here and there). When my father was trying to explain how putting it in wrong affects the car and also how it could have happened (fyi - my dad was not upset just wanted to make the mechanics aware when working on older cars there are certain things to look for; but I guess they are the professionals don't want to hear a retired and experienced mechanics advice) the guy behind the through the battery down coped and attitude, postured my dad aggressively and yelled at another mechanic to get my dad a battery. Horrible customer service, in fact aggressive customer service, I will not be recommending my family, friends and neighbors to go here. In the long run, my Dad only wanted to talk , give some trustful advice about working on old cars and exchange the battery- Nothing else. He is a very calm guy. The mechanics/customer service guy was way out of line and aggressive. Really uncalled for and really unprofessional. My dads intention was to just drop some knowledge, the battery being put in wrong really could mess up my car, a car that has been in the family for 60 years. I paid a lot of money for service and warranty and instead became some angry mechanics punching bag (don't like your job get a new one). I could understand his defensiveness if my father was rude, angry, argumentative etc. Now I am without a show car and awaiting to here what damage this caused. SUPER AWESOME! read more

The manager called another shop down the street to do the repairs, and didn't charge me for anything. I took my Federal Government fleet truck into this location on 08/08/2017. Store #936 4114 E. Bromley Lane Brighton, CO 80602 (720) 685-8292. The now Manager PETE TRUJILLO told me face to face that he himself changed the $30 air filter. After I left the facility, I pulled into parking lot to verify that it was completed....guess what, old filter still in place, but the area around was wiped clean to give impression that all was good. I then returned to get refund processed, and PETE said I'm busy and running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. So I guess that makes it okay to LIE, and STEAL from the Federal Government? It took him an additional 15 minutes to get this done. He would not give me the contact info for Grease Monkey International, so I called a different store who provided that to me. I then contacted Ron Morrow with GMI at 303-818-0524 and he assured me that this would be taken care of. Well PETE is still working there, NOT what anyone trying to protect their business or reputation would normally do. It looks like there is an illegal trend with PETE, but GMI doesn't care. read more
