Grease monkey offer to top off your oil in between oil changes but when you go in they tell you you're due for an oil change and won't op off your oil even though you're 1000 miles away from your next oil change. What can i say. Well its probably the best place for car Service. Do u know how you'd go into a motel and in the corner thy have a complimentary breakfast. You get this tiny voice of excitement and you're curious to find out what they have. Well... That's how I felt when I walked into the lobby of the Grease Monkey thy had like a whole cute setup. Cold refrigerated water bottles. Perfect for this AV weather. And thy had Fruit !!! Plus coffee and some good cookies . I was running late for work and needed to do the service in the morning. What a perfect way to get a small breakfast before work. It made my day. Justin and Goldie Locks (not his real name) are an amazing crew. They are fast and efficient. During my lunch break today I asked a co-worker where she takes her car for oil changes and she responded Grease Monkey. She said she had a great experience there so I decided to try it out. I was greeted by a friendly young man who took all my information and gave me an estimated wait time and cost. I sat in a clean waiting room with refreshments and a tv. The tech working on my truck kept me updated and was thorough in explaining everything he did and recommended. The timer on the wall let me know how much I spent there but honestly it did not feel like a wait at all. Everyone was personable, friendly and I'll definitely come back for service again! read more

I came here today to get an oil change and I couldn't let the day go by without posting a review about how great the service was. The oil change didn't take long at all, every staff member was friendly from the moment I called in the morning to when I was leaving and the price was great. I loved that they were very informative about everything and even brought me into show me what was done. I've been to other places to get my oil changed and not even at the dealership have I ever got service this great. It was also very clean and they had snacks and coffee available which was nice! This will definitely be the only place I get my oil changed from now on. I would recommend to anyone I know and anyone reading this debating on going you definitely should. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I took Chevy in here and they lost the drain plug down the drain pan. This is hindsight... They brought me down in the pit to tell me my oil pan was shot from years of wear. How's that I'm asking now. I just put a fresh 5.7 from a newer Chevy. They lost the oil plug and wouldn't own up to it. They tried to put a plug from the original year but that is 1/2 in. My new application has a 12 x 1.75mm not 1/2 in. They told me my stuff was messed up. So crazy! They will bone you at the first sign of trouble without admitting they messed up. They messed up my oil pan by trying to put the wrong plug in so the lube specialist didn't have to admit they lost my original plug. read more

The staff is incredibly nice, the owner goes above and beyond to ensure that you as the customer, are well taken care of. I wouldn't consider taking my car any place else. I came to get my oil pan replaced and as a woman I was a little frightened they would try to pull one over on me. Not the case, they were straight forward, and were truthful about everything. They were welcoming and very kind. In the waiting area they provide coffee, water, fruit, and cookies! From the second I was greeted, everyone was so kind and seemed like they actually loved their job. The waiting area was cute and stocked with snacks and coffee and it was CLEAN. They got me in quick and completed the oil change in a good time frame. It turned out that I needed new brakes(I had a feeling before going in that they needed replaced) also and they got the brakes ordered and went to work right away. Wow! Completely impressed with every person here! As a woman I always worry about car service places trying to take advantage of my "lack of knowledge" when it comes to vehicle maintenance. I did not feel that way here, what so ever! The previous place I went to forgot to reset my sensor when they changed my oil. When I came to Grease Monkey to get an oil change after the sensor went off they recognized that it may have been an error due to not resetting the sensor during my last oil change. They checked my oil anyway and found that I didn't need an oil change after all. They then checked all my other fluids, tire pressure and cleaned my windows. When I asked them how much I owed to them, they replied "Nothing. Just remember us when you need an oil change'! I will definitely be going there for my next oil change! read more

They are the best place in the AV for fast, honest and reliable oil changes. NO pressure selling! They are transparent about everything they do. You can watch them work on your vehicle from inside. The waiting room is new and clean with free snacks and bottled water. The staff are courteous and very respectful. They vacuum out your car and wash the windows as part of the service. They show you anything that they feel should be replaced and ask your permission before doing it. They even showed me the new one (in this case an air filter) to show that it is a true replacement. Afterwards, they walk you through everything they did. All for the same or less than the "bargain" oil change places. We drove down from Tehachapi and will continue to do so from here on out! Great service and great staff. I was greeted right away and so warmly, too! Their waiting area is very comfortable and has treats available while you wait for your car! I love the screen that had a countdown to when my car would be done as well. The tech also took the time to show me my car and go over what he'd done, which no other mechanic has done for me before. To top it off, they vacuumed my car and cleaned the windows! I love that I didn't feel rushed and that they didn't try to take advantage of me. These people changed the oil, air filter, checked my tires, and other liquids in the car. They even cleaned all the windows including the sunroof. The whole experience took less than 20 minutes.
