This doesn't even warrant a 1! I took my car to get it's state emissions and safety inspection. That was fine, until I realized they didn't give me back my registration! We went back to stand around while they "looked" and never found it. They then told me I'd be fine to get my title and registration transferred with just the documents they gave me and my title. I went in there for an emissions inspection. I went in as soon as they opened. It was empty as it was a weekday and the service was pretty fast. I was in and out within 30 minutes. The guy that helped me was very friendly and the cost for it was very cheap. Of coarse I bought the groupon for $25 and no need for reservations. I got a Groupon for safety and emissions here and drove all the way out to West dickin' Valley from downtown TWICE and didn't even get it passed because my windshield had a small crack (understandable, so I got it entirely replaced) and my window tint was supposedly too dark. No one's ever mentioned a word about it in the years and years I've had safety on this car done. It's a really light tint barely there to keep the car cool, nothing like the blackout windows you'd see on a douchey Audi weaving between lanes on the freeway. Waste of time, not worth the money. Learned my lesson and going l to little local shops instead of this poop stain of a chain. read more

This is second time I've visited GM, last time was in September (2014) - this time, for an oil change for a different car. David helped me and was very helpful and seemed knowledgable. But what I REALLY liked was that he didn't "recommend" anything I didn't need. He showed me a checklist of my car, and I was curious to see what he'd say. Recently the steering fluid had been checked and filled elsewhere, and the brakes had been replaced. I had also gotten the air filter replaced less than a year ago and according to him everything was fine and no replacements needed. In my experience, lube centers always try to push extras on you, when all you want is an oil change. I was radiantly surprised that they weren't doing this. Dave was honest, helpful and got the job done. Above all, I appreciate honesty. Good job Grease Monkey, way to turn it around. read more

Refused service for something we never did. This is my 1st ever Yelp review. We went to Grease Monkey many times last year to get safety and emissions done. I have an old car so it's been quite the fixer uper. My husband just took the car in today and they refused to help him because we "caused a lot of problems." They are claiming we yelled at them, argued with them over the phone for 40 minutes, gave them a bad review on Yelp, and made them retest a bunch of times. I have social anxiety and would never call someone to argue over the phone. Yes, we got our car retested, but each was a separate visit. I never blamed them for my car not passing as I know it needed to have a lot of work done. They said we held up a huge line the last time we were in, but we specifically remember eating all their cookies waiting because there was no one else. I always ensured to thank them as we left. I don't know who they thought I was who treated them so badly, but I'm really upset that they would refuse to help us because they thought we did things that never happened. I don't know how to prove to them that it must have been someone else. So now we have a Groupon that this business will not honor. read more

I was super impressed by this location. I went in on Saturday to have my oil changed. The two gentleman working were super helpful and friendly and even fixed an issue related to my AC free of charge. The store itself was clean organized. I will defiantly go back. Again, the customer service was amazing :) read more

Read the reviews these guys are all spot on, this place is terrible the guys there barely, I mean barely know their way around a car I had to help the young kid get the wheel back on after he could barely get it off to check my brakes. They pulled my truck in for safety and emissions and put it up on a lift and start looking at the muffler and skid plates, all the time the truck was idling. I mean they didn't even have a list they all just stood there staring at my truck. Another customer came in after me and all three guys did her oil change while my truck sat up in the air running!! All in all I was there an hour my truck ran the entire time, the lady's car they did the oil change on, poor soul they fried her battery somehow. I was so sick of being there I didn't my actual registration at a Jiffy Lube just because the manager was so rude at Grease Monkey. Stay away, stay far far far away. read more

I had the most awesome experience there. Asked for an oil change and got one. The service personal were friendly and one of them came right up when I pulled up. Excellent price. I went to jiffy lube and they wanted an arm and a leg just for and oil change. No complaint about them. I will start going there now. I say there are too many babies out there. The manager, Joshua Garcia, at this location, will never take accountability or responsibility for damage that he or his technicians do to your car. He will call you a liar to your face and argue with you consistently. Mistakes happen, I get that. But he allowed a really big mistake to happen that cost me a lot of money as well as a horrible, scary drive from Utah to Tucson that took 15 hours instead of the normal 13 hours. If my son wouldn't have been with me for the drive, I would have been a complete basket case. Long story short, once I made it to my daughter's in Tucson, she had someone that she knew fix my car. It was the output speed sensor (OSS) which is in the middle of the transmission. When I went to Grease Monkey for my oil change before the trip, Joshua told me he would give me a 15% discount on a transmission flush since I had never had it done. Turns out that the transmission on a Chevy Cruz should never be touched unless absolutely necessary because they have a sealed transmission. Interesting. Grease Monkey is the only establishment that has EVER touched my transmission. Needless to say, I will never go back and I will never have a nice thing to say about this man. Grease Monkey should do a better job at hiring managers for their locations. read more

If I could give them 0 stars, I would have. They SUCK, everyone there sucks. Notice the place is never busy and no one is ever using them, because they plain and simply suck. I work at a large company near them and am in charge of the fleet, I decided to give this new company Grease Monkey a chance, and they completely over charge for an oil change, and when I mentioned perhaps setting up a fleet account and using them more, in hopes of getting the better pricing, the guy working said they weren't interested. I ended up taking my personal vehicle there a few weeks ago because I knew they wouldnt have a wait and I wanted to give them one more chance, well it was a mistake, they failed my safety for a bunch of B.S things that you dont fail for, and spent 40+ minutes doing safety and emissions literally like searching the truck for stuff to fail me on, it was absurd. Tyler is an idiot, Im sorry. But he is lazy and whines about customers TO A CUSTOMER, well sorry buddy, customers keep you in business, I think they should shut down or fire everyone and restructure. I hate it there, and everyone who works there. They also usually watch like prison shows in the waiting room, not really appropriate. STAY AWAY, NEVER GO HERE. I went in to get my oil changed and somehow left with safety and emissions done. I walked in and the guy was helping someone else, no big deal. Waited a little and then someone asked what they could do for me. I said I needed an oil change and handed the guy my keys. He said okay we will have you out of here in 15 to 20 minutes. So I waited. I thought it was weird that no one came out to two me anything, but didn't think much of it. I started to get annoyed because one guy was smoking by my car and I could smell it after. But again no huge deal. Another guy was complaining about another location on the phone on front of me. Then finally the guy comes back out saying I passed but I will need new brakes. Once again, I take blame for not realizing this... Or that the price was so cheap but I'm not used to getting my oil changed (my dad always did it). It wasn't until I got home that I realized what happened. My sister called and they told her 'well this never happens. We always ask questions. Have her come in and we will talk to the tech about it.' I didn't expect much but I thought this was a cop-out and calling me a liar. Why would I get safety and emissions done in may when they aren't due til August and they are only good for two months? Now I'm out $25 and I still have to get my oil changed. I went to Grease Monkey to have my car inspected and the emissions done so I could renew registration. They were offering a deal of $25 for both inspection and emission testing plus on the spot renewal. The bathroom was clean, not scary at all. One employee was telling a customer about the complimentary coffee/hot cocoa. The employee noticed the cocoa was out so he fixed it right away. They were very busy; but still seemed to be very efficient. I was in an out in about 40 minutes. There were probably 5 other customers ahead of me. All of the employees were very friendly to each customer. They were also willing to answer questions or spend the time to explain things. read more

They hunt for repairs and fail your vehicle. There is a difference between a good honest shop that does a thorough inspection for the safety and benefit of the customer and a dishonest shop that goes out of there way to fail your vehicle so they can profit from the repairs. I was an auto mechanic for 15 years and I know what I am talking about. This is not a shop you can trust. The manager ( I believe his name was Dave ) was completely unreasonable. We had to take both of our vehicles elsewhere where they both passed inspection without issues. I am not the kind of person that leaves bad reviews but in this case I hope it will save someone else the frustration that I had to deal with. read more

Got my oil changed there they where fast kind and friendly prices weren't to bad either I will be going back for my next oil change

The customer service was horrible and the staff was uneducated and rude. The gentleman on hand, who is responsible for passing and registering cars (Robert maybe?), gave me the wrong year for my sticker. He couldn't figure out his mistake until 2 phone calls later and by the time I was already 20 minutes away. He told me it was my responsibility to bring the sticker back. I work 10 hr days and 3 jobs, so it's a little challenging to find extra time for someone else's mistake. He called again and said if I didn't bring it back by the end of the day he would have to report me to the DMV to protect himself! So basically to cover for his own mistake, it would be on me. I called to tell them I would be there and Justin, one of the service guys, was rude on the phone and in-person. After arriving, Justin was complaining about a car having a leak. When the lady waiting for her car asked if it was her car with the leak, he just snapped at her and said "it's your car with the leak and I don't know where it's leaking!" Perhaps if they were more educated on their jobs and customer service, people would be willing to pay their higher prices... Maybe in the future they should work on not snapping at their customers and taking responsibility for their mistakes. It's not nice to make your paying customers, who keep you in business, feel bad and unappreciated. Perhaps they need to learn the Golden Rule: Treat others how you want to be treated... read more
