Food service always good. Been coming here for at least 25 years. Never a bad experience.

So this was way better than anticipated! We were a large celebratory party and they had the staff to take care of us even though the place was packed. The food was so good! My friend had the steak salad- I never imagined that it would be so full and look so good- that is what I am getting next! I had the burger and it hit the spot. There is enough variety so that there is something to definitely make your mouth happy!

The owners of this restaurant used to operate one in Tucson, Arizona. We missed it so much that we drove from Tucson to El Paso for our anniversary dinner. We both ordered fish- I got the broiled Haddock dinner and hubby got beer battered fish sandwich with fries. It's still the best coleslaw he's had in his life! I forgot just how good their ranch beans were The owners and staff treated us like family ! It's a very nice relaxing place for 2 to dine or groups! We couldn't find fault the entire evening- it was delicious and delightful!!

Didn't look like any Burger places I've ever been with...

You all know my love for (Um Um Good Eats) I didn't plan to come in today but when I saw the sign as "Great American Steakburger", I had to try out-can't miss it and won't miss it Here's my review based on the food I paid in full as long with my stomach, hahaha It seemed a bit odd looking burger house since it didn't have much of "mesquite or hickory" fumes as soon as I opened the door(there were "double doors" and you would be welcomed by "souvenir stand" huh? Almost all tables were occupied (good sign) but mostly moms and kids(not a good sign for good burger joints; no offense but no hunks&no smokes would lead to no good burger) Since this was my first time, i ordered Original Burger with Onion Rings and smoked sausage plates as appetizer - waiter told me that they didn't have a smoker and not much know as "BBQ" - I just wanted to know how on earth they put BBQ ribs, sausage and briskets in the menu without the smoker(I tried for you so you shouldn't order them - no need to thank me lol) I would like to ask the cook to grill the sausage then sliced them to serve - it looked like 1 sliced and 2. Finished in the oven or broiler Too greasy and not much of flavor but extremely salty (evaporated all the juice but sitting in the fat) But I enjoyed the OG steakburger - fresh and crisp vege set - 4 stars worth Onion Rings - Sysco or any food vendor items N/A ; not from the scratch Sauce - N/A ; I don't think not many burger joints make their signature BBQ sauce no more why? Service - very attentive and honest!! Gotta give him 5 stars for sure Clean Restroom- extra 1 point Overall-4 stars Honestly I won't be back this location since there are so many burger places I am hungry for but it is decent "family friendly place to dine in"

FOOD: Decided to give this place another shot after a horrific food poisoning incident I experienced at the hands of their haddock platter two years ago. (Yes I reached out to the restaurant, and no, no one gave two hoots as no one ever followed up.) This time we decided to go with the steak, because how can they mess it up. I asked for medium and it was definitely NOT medium. It was VERY MUCH rare. SERVICE: The the first server was quite surly ...As nice and empathetic as we were trying to be, the server wasn't having it. Luckily there was a shift change towards the end of our visit, and the new server is the only reason we have any stars on this review. (Second Server gets 5 ) ATMOSPHERE: There seemed to be a service manager that was seating parties that also seemed to not be in great spirits -- the atmosphere was just blah overall. Staff will take their queues from upper management, so if they're in a crappy mood, so will their team. With the multiple steak places in El Paso, we will definitely be taking our hard earned money elsewhere.

The place had a very nice vibe and seemed very popular. Classy decor but casual feel. The enclosed glass wine cooler was amazing to see. The wine glasses.... Well everything in TX is bigger. They were goblets and so pretty. Our server was Viviana, who was very sweet and polite. The bread was so soft and hot. But so much for two people, I felt bad not eating it all. One loaf would have been enough. I ordered a cucumber drink w/o alcohol: SO good. Mango salad with chicken for me. He had steak, lobster tail and a glass of Austin Hope red wine. Food was delicious! Plenty of parking but... people can't see nor pay attention to the faded arrows on the ground showing which way to go. Julius mentioned that he has worked at Cattleman's for five years, and I really appreciate seeing a business that retains its employees. Hopefully that's a reflection of how well they treat their staff, because the service we received was outstanding. Employees like Adalia and Julius are what truly make a restaurant memorable. The food was just as impressive as the service. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, and Julius recommended ordering the herbed butter and the Tampiqueña topping on the side. I am so grateful he suggested that because it was absolutely delicious and the perfect complement to the steak. He also helped several people in our group choose their meals, and every single recommendation was spot on. I honestly don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu, but I also don't think I would have enjoyed my meal nearly as much without his thoughtful suggestions. Every side dish was excellent, from the baked potatoes, corn, beans, coleslaw, and fresh bread to the incredible desserts that finished off the meal perfectly. Beyond the amazing food and exceptional service, we loved the atmosphere of the ranch. The views were beautiful, I had a blast feeding the animals, and seeing the film history added such a unique touch to the experience. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience in every way. Great food, outstanding service, beautiful surroundings, and a fun atmosphere. If you're visiting the area, Cattleman's is an absolute must-visit!

As we were seated our waiter took 10 min to great us and then another 12 min to bring our drinks. I didn't think anything of it yet it was a precursor to the rest of our dinner. After he took our order our kids food came out in a very timely fashion but our two orders of salmon and one steak sandwich took 40 min to arrive at the table. What a ridiculous waste of my time because my sandwich was missing the fries ordered and our waiter thought nothing of it till I brought it up then he took another 10 min to bring my fries. All this while simultaneously forgetting the sauce for the salmon which also took another 10 min to bring out. The salmon was so dry it was tacky and stuck to your teeth. If you know the feeling you know it's bad. The rice that came underneath the salmon was crunchy and way undercooked. All while the waiter was like oh I can bring you free deserts for your wait all while I could only think about how I just wanted to leave. I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management. All this and the waiter is like I'll comp you for the steak sandwich with a discount for the bad service and salmon which was a whopping $5. I don't want a discount I don't want free day old desserts I want good service and decent food. Discounts and free desserts will never fix the problem because it will always be a crutch for trashy customer service. How about stop drinking with the guests and whoop that staff into semi decent shape buy some high chairs and make sure your expo does a once over quality check on the food and time it takes to get to the table EVEN if that means stepping in and doing it yourself. The restaurant is dark the tables are sticky the whole place is very compact . Perfect and quite attractive after 5-6 wines for sure. I'm sure the food is outstanding after a few drinks as well . They gave us a $25 dollar gift card to return which if I could I'd give to the owner so he could experience the same horrible food and service we did. I wouldn't even give the gift card to someone I hated. This was one of the first times in a long time I didn't just let it slide because I understand all restaurants and people have bad days but this was exceptionally bad. If you are thinking it can't be that bad think again it absolutely can. The whole "I'm sorry we usually have awesome service and everyone loves our food it's probably just me and my family " is laughable . This isn't my first time here while visiting El Paso. The food is getting worse.

She got our drink orders wrong and delivered them to the wrong guests. We had to play the matching game by sipping each other's drinks. And she never came by to refill. We had to ask. It took forever for us to order our food. And our food didn't get to us until almost an entire hour after ordering. Ummm that was horrible. We were sitting for almost two hours before food got to us. Two of our orders of steaks were ordered as medium-rare, and our steaks were dry AF. I told the waitress that we wanted a new steak, and she brought back the steak while flashing a flashlight over it to defend her cook, saying it is medium-rare and to look at it again. Never have I ever experienced a flashlight being used over our food to prove a non-valid point. At this point, I was so freakin hungry that I did not want to argue, and so I ate the dry steak. I must start this review with compliments to the chef. Each dish was cooked to perfection, I…read moreordered the duck mole and it was fantastic. The concept is brilliant, Mexican and American flavors elevated. The boutique hotel is beautiful, a reminder to future diners to look up as they have flowy lights that go up and down (mesmerizing). I really looked forward to this place and wanted to like it but the service just dimmed the meal. We went for a graduation celebration and did not feel that. I do acknowledge that we show up quite late since the graduation ended late. We placed our orders right before the kitchen closed. Throughout the meal, we were not offered extra bread, a dessert menu, or even a mere "Congratulations" from our server. A kind gentleman who seemed like the chef did come to check on the food and congratulate us. He seemed to actually care about the guests. I would love to come back to see if the service improves because the cooking deserves 5 stars here.

Walking in, there was a cool flower art installation hanging over the tables, which was a really unique touch and probably one of the more memorable parts of the space. That said, the overall vibe felt a little bland and didn't quite match the hype we were expecting. Food-wise, the experience was a bit mixed. We ordered a ribeye, but it unfortunately came out pretty cold. We let our server know and he did take it back so the kitchen could warm it up, which we appreciated. The table bread that came out was also on the dry side and not very impressive. The spicy margarita ended up being one of the better parts of the meal. It wasn't actually on the menu, but they made one for us and it was really good. We also ordered fries, which were solid, and the bone marrow (called "Mexican butter") was easily the highlight! It sauce that it came with! 10/10 It was rich, flavorful, and definitely the best thing we tried. ‼One quick heads-up for anyone visiting: there's a nail sticking out of the handrail going down the stairs to the bathroom, so just be careful grabbing the railing on the way down.‼ Overall, there were a couple good items, but the experience felt a little underwhelming compared to the expectations from the reviews. Maybe it was just an off night.
