Decided to come here for my uncle's 80th birthday. It looks like a nice restaurant with a nice ambiance and i wanted to treat him for his big day. We were told they're was a 1 hr wait which a not a big deal since we waited by the bar. Once we sat down the waitress took over 30 min before taking our order. Afterwards 2 out of our orders were wrong. My cousin was missing items he ordered. My steak was over cooked and my potato was missing all the ingredients. I asked for a loaded potato and other didn't have anything. This was my first time here but I won't be returning.

The food is fantastic! It is flavored well, made to order, and there is enough. Steaks are prepared perfectly. The sides are tasty. I've never had a regrettable meal here. The ambiance is top notch, and dress attire is "casual neat" to dress up. The service is excellent with smiles everywhere. For this experience you should be more than willing to TIP well. Parking can be tight to nonexistent on busy nights, so arrive early.

This time round I had the 3 rib eye tacos with an extra side of frijoles del olla (frijoles charros). First of all, the rib eye tacos were served with a tiny side of cilantro sauce and a salsa sauce, both which were both flavorful. Wow! It was my first eating rib eye in a taco format- delicious! The frijoles del olla were an added side order (extra cost) were slightly spicy, just the right amount of spicy flavor. I had a sweet Italian red wine which was perfect for me The server was nice and would check on the table. Very noisy open area, so difficult to have conversations. Da few large family birthday events, so really noisy. Posted a pic of the 2 large white faux ginkgo trees were a nice aesthetic.

I was looking for a good steak and was recommended to West Texas Chophouse by a local from El Paso. Although the atmosphere was nice, the restaurant had fruit flies everywhere, which was pretty distracting. The service wasn't great.., our server rarely checked on the table and didn't seem to be paying close attention when taking the order. I ordered a bone-in ribeye medium, but it came out very rare. The loaded baked potato looked like most of the center had been scraped out, and the skin was so overcooked it couldn't even be cut with a steak knife. The steak itself was not well seasoned, and this was actually the first steakhouse I've ever had to ask for steak sauce (A1) to make it enjoyable. Although the pricing was fair for the concept, the food just didn't leave me wanting to come back again.

Very nice decorations is very clean even in the restrooms. The service was good the waiters are fast at handing out food the total wait for food was 20 minutes. The food was very good the ribeyes are very good and thick.

I think this would be a great place for a nice date night. The atmosphere is one of upscale but it's not white table cloth. They have an extensive drink menu. The service was good and very attentive. The food overall was good. The steaks are well seasoned. Bypass the mixed veggies. They seemed like the steamable stir fry bag of veggies you can buy in the freezer section versus fresh which was what I was expecting.

Birthday dinner at the chophouse on a Tuesday night. Stop by around 7 and it looked really busy. I guess not really glacier we got sat down asap. Was on the mood for steak so I ordered the T bone medium well with baked potato. Our server drop off fresh rolls right out the oven. They were steaming hot, but the melted honey butter tasted so good. About 15-20 minutes later my steak arrived. My steak on the serving plate was massive and the potato was just as huge. Cut into the first bite and juiciness was spilling out. Very tender meat as I chowed it down. The was awesome, well prepared and a good size. My meal was perfect and a good ending to my bday!

    The wine room is amazing

Indeed, they lived up to their Yelp reviews. I had a 20 oz. Bone in Ribeye (the way God intended ) cooked medium with backed potato. I won't be slapping my mother but I will call her later this evening , to sing the praises of this excellent piece of meat. Particularly the char. It is the best I have ever had. If this placed served a dish that consisted of nothing but the end pieces (where they hug the bone) I would have to consider moving here. That char was perfectly blackened & bursting with flavor. The baked potato (which was backed in an oven & NOT microwaved) was very good also. The Alex's Philly Cheesecake was not as good as the steak but it got the job done. I sat at the bar so the service was immediate but the unsweetened tea tasted like I was the second person who drank some all day. This place is large (it has 'Texas' right in the name!) & because you have to do parking lot gymnastics in the full parking lot, I expected a little wait on this hot Sunday afternoon. Happily there was no wait. It has a high barn-like roof that amplifies customers talking to a semi-comfortable background cacophony but the steak was so good I entered into my own little world. The only down side was that the steak & especially the backed potato could have been a little hotter. If I ever wander through these parts again, I will definitely return. 4-stars

I got sat next to the meat counter. And look at my food this is a pathetic display of food a tiny overcooked piece of chicken and a popper mashed potatoes no garnish. The gravy was quite bland and in a plastic cup really people you can do better. Who knows maybe I was checking the place out for a party of 50 but I wouldn't bring them here now. Don't treat me like a single invisible person.

As we were seated our waiter took 10 min to great us and then another 12 min to bring our drinks. I didn't think anything of it yet it was a precursor to the rest of our dinner. After he took our order our kids food came out in a very timely fashion but our two orders of salmon and one steak sandwich took 40 min to arrive at the table. What a ridiculous waste of my time because my sandwich was missing the fries ordered and our waiter thought nothing of it till I brought it up then he took another 10 min to bring my fries. All this while simultaneously forgetting the sauce for the salmon which also took another 10 min to bring out. The salmon was so dry it was tacky and stuck to your teeth. If you know the feeling you know it's bad. The rice that came underneath the salmon was crunchy and way undercooked. All while the waiter was like oh I can bring you free deserts for your wait all while I could only think about how I just wanted to leave. I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management. All this and the waiter is like I'll comp you for the steak sandwich with a discount for the bad service and salmon which was a whopping $5. I don't want a discount I don't want free day old desserts I want good service and decent food. Discounts and free desserts will never fix the problem because it will always be a crutch for trashy customer service. How about stop drinking with the guests and whoop that staff into semi decent shape buy some high chairs and make sure your expo does a once over quality check on the food and time it takes to get to the table EVEN if that means stepping in and doing it yourself. The restaurant is dark the tables are sticky the whole place is very compact . Perfect and quite attractive after 5-6 wines for sure. I'm sure the food is outstanding after a few drinks as well . They gave us a $25 dollar gift card to return which if I could I'd give to the owner so he could experience the same horrible food and service we did. I wouldn't even give the gift card to someone I hated. This was one of the first times in a long time I didn't just let it slide because I understand all restaurants and people have bad days but this was exceptionally bad. If you are thinking it can't be that bad think again it absolutely can. The whole "I'm sorry we usually have awesome service and everyone loves our food it's probably just me and my family " is laughable . This isn't my first time here while visiting El Paso. The food is getting worse.
