Seated right away which was nice. Very loud inside. I ordered a salad to have before my meal... it came out with my meal. I ordered my NY steak medium, it came out rare. I decided to eat it because I was hungry. There was a large tendon in it which made eating over half of it next to impossible. My husband ordered the ribeye plus two shrimp skewers. His steak was perfect, but they only brought him one skewer which was actually a kabob. Misleading. Great go-to for me whenever I'm in El Paso. They had happy hour (until 6 I think, and again late at night) so we were able to get some drinks at reasonable price. We meant to get full meal but the monthly special brisket mac and cheese--by far the BEST mac and cheese I've had in some time--was plenty even though we meant to have it as appetizer. The chocolate mud pie was Texas-sized for sure but could use a little more moisture for my taste. Our server gave us some ice cream with it so that helped. Service was great, very attentive, very accurate. This is a place to take everyone for any occasion: some of us were in suits (I came from work), and some dressed very casually, and some brought their newborn babies for a quick meal, but all felt comfortable even in what may appear as posh environment. We had a reservation for dinner; I don't think it's necessary, but it wouldn't hurt. I've seen this place quite packed! Plenty of parking outside and around the place so no worries there. Decided to come here for my uncle's 80th birthday. It looks like a nice restaurant with a nice ambiance and i wanted to treat him for his big day. We were told they're was a 1 hr wait which a not a big deal since we waited by the bar. Once we sat down the waitress took over 30 min before taking our order. Afterwards 2 out of our orders were wrong. My cousin was missing items he ordered. My steak was over cooked and my potato was missing all the ingredients. I asked for a loaded potato and other didn't have anything. This was my first time here but I won't be returning. read more

Ambiance is super cool. Fun house music, great decor and a cool bar area equipped with many TVs. Service started out strong but wasn't as attentive throughout the meal. Food was delicious! This location of West Texas Chophouse is adjacent to Dave's BBQ and they share the same parking lot. I must say that parking can be a bit of a pain if you go during a busier time. We were able to do a walk-in without a reservation which made it all the easier. I personally am not a fan of such close seating amongst tables and booths that you can overhear conversations but it's a small annoyance. The steakhouse has a range of cuts to fit any budget and for the most part they are cooked properly. Service was a bit lackluster compared to their Cimmaron location so that was the biggest standout to me. I really enjoyed the queso fundido with chorizo and steak strips, super nice touch. read more

Love this place. Eat here 3-4 times a week. Atmosphere is amazing and the food is good. The last visit was a little bad because of the new server at least he said he was new. I'd definitely ask for another waiter if I got him again. He didn't know the difference between Cesar salad and house salad and to boot he didn't even know that ranch dressing is white not the color of the Cesar salad dressing. This time round I had the 3 rib eye tacos with an extra side of frijoles del olla (frijoles charros). First of all, the rib eye tacos were served with a tiny side of cilantro sauce and a salsa sauce, both which were both flavorful. Wow! It was my first eating rib eye in a taco format- delicious! The frijoles del olla were an added side order (extra cost) were slightly spicy, just the right amount of spicy flavor. I had a sweet Italian red wine which was perfect for me The server was nice and would check on the table. Very noisy open area, so difficult to have conversations. Although the atmosphere was nice, the restaurant had fruit flies everywhere, which was pretty distracting. The service wasn't great.., our server rarely checked on the table and didn't seem to be paying close attention when taking the order. I ordered a bone-in ribeye medium, but it came out very rare. The loaded baked potato looked like most of the center had been scraped out, and the skin was so overcooked it couldn't even be cut with a steak knife. The steak itself was not well seasoned, and this was actually the first steakhouse I've ever had to ask for steak sauce (A1) to make it enjoyable. We were excited to go back after not visiting this establishment in years since our last bad experience . We went for a special occasion and had another bad time. We order ribeye thinking they only had bone in and the waitress did not explain there were two different versions. The menu is outdated. They got a side order wrong and cooked our steaks to the wrong temperatures. We couldn't even enjoy the cheesecake we took home because we found egg shells in it. Birthday dinner at the chophouse on a Tuesday night. Stop by around 7 and it looked really busy. I guess not really glacier we got sat down asap. Was on the mood for steak so I ordered the T bone medium well with baked potato. Our server drop off fresh rolls right out the oven. They were steaming hot, but the melted honey butter tasted so good. About 15-20 minutes later my steak arrived. My steak on the serving plate was massive and the potato was just as huge. The baked potato was good but cold, they must have cut it open and left it on the plates while everything else was being prepared. The veggies were awful, just mush like that had been boiling all day. The Mac and cheese was awful, the cheese wasn't even melted, like they didn't microwave it long enough or something Major disappointment for such a nice place. Just stayed at a hotel in my mat to Odessa for the Oil show and glad I stayed close to this place . Chicken sandwich was awesome. Sat at bar and ate. I would say the music was too loud and waitress at bar talked too soft . Excellent heat in green chiles but not overpowering. I would eat here again for sure. Manager - really start the cleaning process after you close is my suggestion. If you close @ 10 start the process then not 45 minutes before. Everyone is too ready to leave. Staff eating at the bar is not a good look. Two thumbs up and a snap for sure. I'll be back and you should try this place. What a disappointment I went here for my birthday my husband and I ordered our steaks medium well and when they came out, they were raw and bleeding. I tried to eat it, but I just couldn't a woman walking around and I explained to her how we ordered them and they came out and I showed her I guess I should've taken a picture of it to post it on here, she asked if I wanted to have her take it back and have them finish cooking it. I told her I wasn't sure so my husband did and it came back and it was still bleeding so I told her I guess I will just have to take mine home and finish cooking it since they evidently can't get it right. The second time the fries were cold. My husband's potato was cold and he wasn't done yet and they took it away so that was also not a good experience when you're not done with your food so basically my birthday was pretty much ruined. I just don't know what happened. Loved the addition of Mexican flavors and dishes to this steakhouse! I knew it was special as soon as I previewed the menu. The drinks were all excellently crafted. My favorite was the Hibiscus Margarita. Got a sip of my sister's Tamarindo Margarita and it was amazing, too! The Nightmare on Bourbon Street is a seasonal specialty and was a great choice as well. The Chophouse Nachos were epic- you could easily have one too many before the entree! As everything mixes together it was hard to tell the steak apart from the black beans sometimes... I bit into the nachos hoping for steak and was disappointed a couple times lol. Had the Poblano Cream soup with a side of premium meat strips. The meat was perfection. The soup, however, was not as creamy as I expected... it seemed more like a sauce for another dish. My sister thought it was great though. For dessert, I ordered the carrot cake and it was the best I've had in recent memory! Good frosting to cake ratio. And my goodness, it was such a big portion we took the rest home for our coffee the next morning. Great service from beginning to end! He said close to the bone would be a little more rare. I showed him the outer edge and asked is that what this restaurant considered medium rare. He said we'll it was a little more medium rare. Asked for bill, paid and left. Not going back. Not going to suggest this restaurant. If the name of this restaurant comes up during a meeting or clients ask for a place to go i will tell them to pass. Hire less arrogant managers and better cooks. read more

I've been to the one on Airway and always love it! This one however was nothing like the experience we've had at their Airway location. The service staff were less than attentive, the place is beautiful but the service and food were not good. I ordered the grilled chicken and veggies, the chicken was ok the veggies were bland with noting on them. And they were stir fry veggies and seemed to be what they had left over. Lots of small pieces. The manager seemed to pass by just to ask if all was ok but almost just to reaffirm without really asking us, it was actually almost funny. I went there two days in a row since it was within walking distance to my hotel. First of all, the service is impeccable. I sat at the bar where Aylin provided perfect recommendations and superb service. I selected the Porterhouse the first evening and the bone-in Ribeye the second. While both were great choices, the Ribeye reigned supreme. Both were served with a loaded baked potato which were amazing. I selected the Tres Leches for dessert both evenings. It was the best with the exception of my wife's abuela. Another positive note was a bartender named Liam. He is absolutely amazing - conversational and a great mixologist.
