And she took about 5 minutes to cut my hair and completely chopped off my hair and cut uneven short layers on top of my longer hair under it. If you want uneven chopped hair afterwards that will be hard to fix then come here to get your haircut. I was completed disgusted by the service I got here. Stopped by for a haircut on Sunday afternoon. I downloaded the mobile app to make reservation and showed 0 min on Waiting Time. I could not find any valid coupon online to give great deal, so just went ahead with the reservation. There were three lady hairstylists in the store, and I saw the listed price for Men's Haircut is $13. The lady, Silva, asked me how much trimming is preferred. After changing two clipper adapters to get the right length of cut that I liked, she finished within 10 min. Super efficient and the hair cut looked nice. I ended up paying $11 plus $2 tip. Later I found out there is $9.99 coupon on the back of Jewel-Osco cash register exempt. The store has a sign showing only take coupon that is $2 off at most. So if you see any great deal on Internet that claim to be less than $9 will be invalid. I will definitely come back again for a haircut. read more

I went to get my bangs trimmed. Simple task right? Apparently not. Stylist asked me what length I wanted them, and I said at the brow. Every stylist i've ever been to knows that when they ask what length I want them, they mean WHEN THEY'RE DRY, NOT WHEN THEY'RE WET. She cuts them, and asks me if that's ok, which i say yes because at that point the damage has already been done. They shrink up midway through my forehead. Then afterwards she proceeded to address me as a man in front of 4-5 other people. I am a girl. My sister's quinceañera is TOMORROW. I have a date THE NEXT DAY. Me and my uncle just had hair cut here (7/5/2018 at 7:45PM). The lady (not to be racists here but she is Mexican, aged mid 40's) who did the cut was unprofessional. She doesn't have patience and just wanted to finish the job is couple mins. We were the only customers there and it wasn't before closing time. I visit place frequently and get cut with Mike who is truly professional. Please do your self a favor and try avoiding this location or call and check if Michael is available. I used their online check in, even though there was no wait. I've been here a few times. All the stylists I've had have been great. I've had Mike multiple times, and he is no exception to that. Worst hair cut ever all she did was talk while cutting she cut where I told her not to and did not cut where it was needed. I was out of there in about 15 minutes. The lighting in there is horrible so I did not realize what a horrible job she did until I got home in better lighting. She cut one side of my hair longer than the other and the back was also messed up. Will not be going back here she needs to concentrate on listening to the customers and do less talking. There are a number of places to get your haircut at this intersection and I have had mixed experiences with this place. I'll admit that some of the staff is OK, but it just isnt worth the risk. The last time (and this is the last time I or anyone I know will visit this place) I left with a lopsided haircut. Additionally, the woman cutting my hair asked me for what I wanted and responded by doing the exact opposite of my request. I have been getting my hair cut for I believe a couple of years now from this salon. Mike is an absolute wizard with men's hair and has never given me a bad hair cut. I have had cuts from some of the other stylists too. They are not as good as Mike is with men's hair but they do a very good job for the price and are very friendly. They do leave notes in the computer based off your phone number so I dont have to explain a lot. But unlike sportclips they actually update the notes so the stylist doesnt look like an idiot for trying to make small talk about what I spoke about during my last visit. They are all business at this salon and the friendly chatter is just to set the mood. I wish I could give this salon 4 or 5 starts, I really do. I have loved this place since I found it, but, the last two visits have prompted me to write this review. Here's why: The last two times I got stuck with the same stylist who cannot give a simple buzz cut. My haircut is very very very simple. I ask for a number 4 buzz on the sides and back and short on top. Basically a crew cut. Easy right? Wrong. BOTH times she buzzes around the ears and it looks like I have skin circles around my ears. It literally looks like I was wearing glasses and I wore them so long that I no longer have hair there. The worst part is the second time (today's cut) the back on my head looks like a geometry homework assignment. She didnt square or round, she literally cut on an angle down from my ears to my neck line. You can actually see the part of my head where I should have hair. I really appreciate looking like a freak show till my hair grows back in a week or so. Her name starts with a R. She is older mid height Hispanic woman. I gave her the benefit of the doubt today in letting her cut my hair, im sorry that I did. But people do make mistakes. Making the same mistake twice however when your job is to not make mistakes is unforgivable. I will return to this great clips, but I will never let R touch my hair again. p.s. I had my worst experience ever at this store when the stylist did a really bad hair cut for my son, did a cut under his ear while talking to her coworker. When my husband mentioned the bad things in my son's hair so she fix it she was so mean to him and called him rude. Her coworkers were as mean. The store manager didn't do anything to help and treated us bad and it seems like discrimination and really bad management because I wear hijab. This is our neighborhood Great Clips. Imagine my joy when we encountered such a caring, competent team! Our 7-year-old son has Down syndrome and Autism and HATES having his hair cut (screaming and kicking and crying). Macrina has taken the time to trim around his ears while one (or even two) of the other staff help me hold him still. They have made us feel welcome every time and tonight, one of the stylists even came out in the freezing cold to help me jump start our car! Fabulous customer service! Dana (The hairstylist) from great clips is so bad. She cut his hair very fast and very sloppy. My son thought that his ear was going to get cut off! My son heard her mutter under her breath that "I hate everyone and everything that comes" She kept tilting my sons head to make his head go in the position she wants. Then she sprayed the water on purpose in his eyes and hair. Then after she messed up, she wanted money. I gave her a 20 dollar bill and she said she gave 10 dollars back for change but she didn't and started complaining! At least other lady there was good! Horrible experience.....I wish I can give 0 stars for the experience that I had an hour ago (8.30 PM CST on 11th April). I took my 5 years old Kid for a hair cut around 8.25 pm, It looks like the hair stylist was not happy as we are going around the closing hours. After the check-in when our turns came, she didn't even clean the floor and asked my kid on the same chair, I just tolerated as I thought they might have been tired. After that, during the hair cut, she was very rude with my kid. I usually stand near them to give instructions as my Kid (5 years old) don't know how to communicate with them. It looks like she was upset as I am standing and watching. She didn't even ask me about how much she needs to cut the side-burns, she simply took almost everything and started doing next ear. I said it looks like you are on a hurry and said I was on the last hour. She started screaming from that point like anything and she said she is not going to accept the payment. I said I must need the receipts ( to at least know her name) she denied to it and the terrible part is she said she is going to call the police. I said go ahead and she didn't do it and shouting all the time. I don't want to continue the horrible experience in front of my kid as he started to panic and crying. I just left the store. I never ever..never ever visit them again. I wish Great Clips management should request the store video to know all the details. What a horrible day. BTW, I am 12 years of Great Clips customer and started going to this specific branch for the last few hair cuts. I read some of the reviews about this store just now and I can see lot more customers had a similar experience with them.
