Then I asked for medium layers and a deep v shape to my hair...looked at my hair and she did exactly what i told her not to do. Great clips not great at all. This franchise is not what it once was. What happened to customer service. Checked in on line. Went in and waited because there was only 1 employee cutting hair the rest were in the back talking but not on breaks. I waited 10 min with no other customers waiting in the lobby. By the time the employees were done talking there were 4 other people waiting in the lobby and I was put to the end of the "wait list". Very dissatisfying and this is not the first time. My mistake was giving them another chance. Store is also dirty because they dont always clean up after themselves. Franchise owner does not seem to care. read more

I've been going here a for years because it's close and let me tell you it is hit or miss more miss then anything. For the most part everyone is nice except for 2-3 times I've had extremely rude experiences. There are two younger girls that I think do a good job every time for me. But besides those two I have to keep my fingers crossed they don't screw my hair up. This last time was the last time I'll go because I have one side of my head that is "2inches" shorter then the other side. It is drastically noticable when not brushed back. I even showed pictures which doesn't even matter being off on one side by that much is crazy unexceptable. Ok so I'm literally sitting down at "great clips" as we speak. My mom had LONG beautiful hair past her butt. We go to a lady 'Maria' my mom tells her she wants a little cut off and she wants layers. MARIA literally butchered my moms hair my five year old nephew cut his hair better than this lady ever could've done! My moms hair literally looks like we turned off the lights and gave someone scissors and to snip away!!! It's not even layered properly it's soooo short and doesn't blend even a little bit! And Maria turned around and said "that's layers" WHERE!!!!! Nothing literally nothing is even the middle section of her hair is shorter then the back and the front!!! And this poor other hairstylist keeps apologizing and telling us "i don't know what she was thinking" and by the way this picture is after the actual hairstylist tries to fix it!!! The other hairstylist literally told us she can't style my moms hair because of how bad Maria fucked up her hair!!!! On a Sunday morning, I decided to go in and get my undercut trimmed and I am happy to say it was one of the best visits I had at a hair salon, ever. Karen and Cynthia are the BEST! Karen was so nice making sure it was cut all the way down to the length I wanted, and as my sister was getting her hair washed with Cynthia, we found out, she does undercut designs. You get what you pay for. You really have to know someone that works here that you know can cut and ask for them. Unfortunately, when they get good enough they get requested then Great Clips moves them . I do not and would not get my hair cut here, I learned that decades ago. But, my family keeps trying every 6 months or so....and they get what they pay for. Go to a barber shop! What's the point of the Check-In system if it's not going to be honored in the order clients check-in? I'm a bit irritated because when I checked-in, the estimated wait time was 12 mins. I get to the salon, waited a bit for those in the chair and for the one or two people who checked-in ahead of me. One person hadn't showed up yet so by default I would have been next. A woman walks in with her son who should have been after me. She has a private side conversation with one of the stylist and he gets serviced immediately. While I'm still waiting, the guy ahead of me shows up and I was told it would be about another 15mins until my turn. By that time, I had already been waiting 15-20mins so I just left. I'm bothered because as the next person in line to be serviced, I feel I should have been taken into consideration and something should have communicated to me at the time the woman walked in with her son. I can clearly see the screen and was well aware that I was number 2, and he was number 3. The app is so simple to use. My daughter wanted to donate her hair to Locks for Love and get a new hairstyle before starting 4th grade :) Her stylist was very sweet and made her feel very comfortable which I appreciated. When I got there I saw myself on the computer and waited about 5 mins for my turn, very efficient system. Took my little sister and my grandfather here. They have great prices for kids and seniors. I got my hair cut on Monday 10/23 and to find out the person who cut my hair was not a normal stylist at this location. Her name was Bianca. She totally and completely messed up my hair. She basically cut a chunk out of it. Upon getting home and noticing that when my hair was dry, something was not right. I called great clips back. They told me to come on down and they will fix it. I went in today 10/24 skeptical that they could fix the mistake and I got Jennifer to fix my hair. Jennifer did the best she could to fix it. She was in such disbelief as I was. She did an amazing job at working with the missing chunk. I'm a little sad about having to cut it shorter in order to fix the mistake, but Jennifer you are awesome for working your magic!! Getting a haircut has always been an emotional roller coaster of being a great experience to "get me out of this chair". I've been to numerous salons and barber shops and have never stuck to a place till now. This Great Clips has been a good experience for me. I have been going to this location for many years. The staff is friendly and will work with you on requests. I'm going to look into it but a phone reservation would be nice to have as an option and not just the Great Clip app. This is due to my phone not having that app. It won't download the app so getting the reservation won't work till I get a different phone. read more
