So Great Clips for us satisfys a need when for whatever reason we can't find the time to go to our regular hair salon. Luckily my hair is healthy and grows fast and so does my son's. So if I wasn't thrilled with my cut in a few weeks we can just go get another cut. Clean quick and the ease of making an appointment or just walking in makes this a place to book mark. Once or twice a year we end up in a Great Clips. Every once in a while I will find a staff member that gives me a great cut and I return for a 2nd cut. The turnover is very high in this business so it's rare that the same people are around when I need my next cut. Which is why my preference leans towards small family run salons but Great Cuts does deserve 4 stars for being there when needed and giving a good affordable hair cut. read more

Went in Saturday 3/30/24 to get a haircut from Kayla at Great Clips Lodi. She is good as I have gone to her for a couple of years now. I don't know what happened to her yesterday. She rounded the right side of the back and squared the left side. She clearly messed up as she asked me how I like it and it is always squared. By the time I answered she already rounded one side. I feel Kayla has no integrity as a person by trying to cover up her mess by also raising my hairline about a quarter inch. She must think no one checks her work when they get home. This Great Clips location is always clean, courteous and just a fun place to get your haircut. Their online check-in is a breeze and, even during busy times, you're not waiting too long. They've got necessary COVID safety precautions in place as well. I can't say I've ever had a bad cut by any of the professionals here. Always do a great job. When I walked in the store the staff were very lovely. However, I asked the lady to not cut my hair to much and keep it long. However she shortened my hair to the point of compete atrocity. When I got back into my car tears started to flow down my face. I had a dinner party to go to on Saturday, that I had to cancel because of my complete lack of hair. Cheap and fast, but that's the only good thing I can say. The staff is very unprofessional and openly insults staff that are not present or clients after they leave with customers. During my last visit the man cutting my hair made fun of his last customer for being picky about the hair length and said he was bossy "just like %#%^" when he has to work with her. Why say that to me? He made a condescending remark to me as I left and seemed only interested in getting done with me. This is poor customer service with a mediocre product. I will never let this guy cut my hair again and I hope his coworkers call out his bad attitude. This guy clearly has a chip on his shoulder and doesn't like his job. I had another great experience today. I have been a client at this location since it first opened and it gets better with every visit. Usually Kevin cuts my hair but today was his day off. Jeanine has cut my hair once or twice before. She did another terrific job today. That whole staff has a positive attitude and takes the proper amount of time with their clientele. Haircut at this place is OK. But their policy on Great Clips coupons is very confusing. The store insists that they accept coupons only if their store name is explicitly written on the coupon. I have never seen a great clips coupon which indicates a specific store where it's valid for. All the recent coupons that I received are either valid for city, state or 4100 locations across US. But the staff at this location is very adamant that they do not take coupons which are applicable for New Jersey or for all locations. Are usually give the entire coupon amount as a tip to the staff. but these narrow minded approaches for coupons will spoil the brand as well as patron's impression about the store. read more

She did a fantastic job on my previous visit that I asked for her again. I get a basic haircut, short and above the ears and was again satisfied with the job she did. So I just LOVE when I can write a POSITIVE review about a business. For many years, I've paid A LOT of money for hair cuts that ranged from 'Good" to "ok" but never completely satisfied. I've seen ppl come out of this salon with really good looking cuts & smiles on their faces. Last Thursday I really wanted to uplift my spirits because I've been ill for about a year, so I decided to get my hair done but didn't know where to go since I've been disappointed , BUT then I REMEMBERED seeing good looking cuts & the HAPPY faces & I decided to give this place a try AND IM SO GLAD I DID!!! Crissy greeted me & asked what I would like done with my hair. She did such a FABULOUS on my hair, MY customers complimented my hair, my female customers asked where I got it cut & by whom, even strangers in the supermarket stopped me to compliment my hair. I needed a basic cut. I had never heard of this place. I stopped in on Saturday, the wait was an hour, but I didn't have time. The guy couldn't have been nicer to me. I went back tonight at 8:10 and the 2 women there were accommodating, funny, friendly, and I got a great hair cut. And had a few laughs in the process. After 10 minutes "All done!" Haircut took 10 minutes. I go here when my usual place is booked and desperately need a cut. always get a low fade and trim on top. Its a pretty common haircut at the moment and it usually looks good....this time it was awful. Took way too much off even though i asked for half an inch off the top and now my hair Is a half inch. They could have at least pretended like they cared even a little about what they were doing to my hair. Straight up look like Jim carrey from dumb and dumber rn. Im never goin back there again. Giving 3 stars because they are severely understaffed and you always wait 30 minutes or more even when using online checkin. Good haircuts but waiting and waiting is ridiculous. Went in to blow dry my hair and at first I was told it would be $25. When it was my turn to go next, one of their stylist advised that he was not good at blow drying hair which forced me to be skipped in line. Then, it was finally my turn to go next again. The lady took maybe 25 minutes tops to dry my hair and charged me $45!!! My hair is shoulder length and thin. When I asked why so much, she said it was because of my hair length and style. I had NO STYLE. My hair was straight, I would of been better off flat ironing it home. I will never come back here again. This place is probably good if you are looking get a quick trim. Worst hair cut experience I've ever had. I came because the place was recommended to me by a friend because she really likes a specific hairdresser. When i arrived, she wasn't there but I figured anyone would be okay because they had such positive reviews here. I don't know the name of the person who got me because she wasn't wearing a name tag and she didn't introduce herself. She had straight blonde shoulder length hair (think, 'i want to talk to the manager white bitch' hair). She didn't smile at me or make me feel welcome AT ALL when I was sitting down. While cutting my hair, she kept insulting my hair, saying it's too dry, the ends are too brittle, etc, but didn't really offer any tips besides just 'use leave in conditioner.' I get that upselling can be annoying, but after insulting my hair that many times, you'd think she'd be a halfway competent employee and at least offer a suggestion. I have long hair and I asked for layers and granted while I did say 'keep the length,' she took it as I'll take a centimeter off the bottom, and she construed 'layers' I'll give you one layer in addition to the bottom of your hair. So yes, I technically got 'layers,' as in my hair has only two layers and BARELY different than when I came in. I am beyond disappointed and humiliated by this place and I urge any other girl with long hair to STAY AWAY. It's just not worth it. Go to a real salon, even if they charge more because any paying customer should not be treated like she treated me. read more
