Worst haircut of my life! I just needed a quick trim. A straight cut. Just ONE length. No layers, no face frame, no bangs, nothing special. My stylist's hair was nicely colored, and an even length; she said she did it herself, so, I trusted her. But the unevenness in MY haircut is SO obvious that she may as well have been wearing a blindfold. She took about 1/4 of my hair on the right front side of my head and cut it 3-4 inches shorter than the rest of my hair. What a nightmare. Now, I have to decide if I want to cut ALL of my hair to that length or get extensions on part of my head while it grows in. read more

Their iOS app is the coolest thing since sliced bread. If you want a stylist that will guarantee you or your kids will get 500,000 likes upon your entry into the social stratosphere, pay the $80 or higher to get you there. Let's be honest, you will not get a designer haircut at this place. Anything complex or detailed will not be achieved. This is the place you go to between your designer hair cuts. You get what you pay for, and after paying $10-$15, this is exactly what you'll get. Other stylist places will charge upwards of $30. It seems like haircut pricing has shifted towards the more expensive end and Great Clips remains at a reasonable price. Check in to avoid waiting, know what to expect so you're not surprised, and get out. I don't like how folks can give these stylists such a hard time. I am a regular here for a year or so now. Today, i checked in for my 3 years old, got there in time with 7 minutes remaining and saw that there are 4 other ahead of me. The lady said, as they have not arrived yet, i will take you first. Thats great, so she started setting up the chair and a guy arrived who was one of the 4 queued before me... The lady did not hesitate to ask me to wait and the wait time went to 34 minutes.... Absolutely unhappy with this experience, its time to switch to another salon... Honestly a basic cleanup for a 3 year old is not rocket science is it? But with rusted machines and older stylists not wanting to share the machines they have to bring from home it becomes a war in front of customers! My daughter went in to get a TRIM and style. No one ever communicated that because of covid they weren't styling hair. They put her in the chair, took 4" off, layered her hair (which was never layered) and decided to part it in the middle before she cut it. I never write reviews and I had write this one. This is the worst hair cut place ever. I asked for layer cut and there were no layers at the end of cut. She was pulling my hair so bad when blow drying it started hurting my neck and heat so high on dryer it burned my scalp. She just kept saying hair is frizzy but you don't burn the skin. She knew I was upset and didn't even apologize. I know how layer cut is done she finished whole cut blow dry in 30min and I have lots hair. The other 2 ladies didn't look like they knew anything about hair cutting. They are bunch of people who don't know anything about hair cut nor did safe one. I have gone to these kind but this is bad. I have never written a review about anything in the past but this experience was so horrific that I could not not write a review. I wanted a simple cut. My first time at great clips. I asked for shoulder length hair, layered & even showed her a picture. The lady, Carmen absolutely had no customer service manners. Had the attitude like she didn't care to be there and acted like I was just a nuisance. So I felt bad from the beginning. Totally my fault for not paying attention to the red flags and leave. I'd explain what I wanted then she'd dismiss what I said and explain to me what would look better on me and just started cutting my hair. She used the razor blade on my hair. With my thick hair I've never had any stylist use a razor blade but I know it can be done however with my hair it's not good to use and I told her about it but of course she was being dismissive. She was not trying to be careful nor precise with the cutting and just was VERY sloppy and with just a spritz of water. She had finished doing my hair in about 10mins it was just a big poof ball of hair. She acted like she did a wonderful job! I was so traumatized I couldn't even speak. I just paid and left almost in tears. You could be terrible at hair cutting but just by being a little nice will make a big difference to some people..and the haircut could be forgivable I believe!! NEVER EVER EVER going to this place again. In fact she made Greatclips look bad in general and I will never step foot into Greatclips again. Nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone even for a simple cut. Doesn't even deserve 1 star sorry. Horrible place!! read more

When I pay for a haircut I am expecting that the "stylist" is more competent at it than I am with just a buzzer. i just received the most jagged, asymmetrical cut I have ever had. The woman that gave me my cut was nice, and a very good conversationalist, but probably the shittiest hair cutter I have met. That being said, I have also received a very good haircut from here once. Oh please save yourself and do not visit this salon. Because of the wonderful coupon I decided to go there just for a trim. My hair was shoulder length and I just wanted about an inch cut off to even things out. One stylist (very nice) began my cut but then felt ill so another stylist named Praveen was asked to finish it. She absolutely butchered my hair. The woman buzzed me BALD HALFWAY UP THE BACK OF MY HEAD and it's lopsided besides. As a woman I cannot be seen in public this way!! The manager of the shop was so lackadaisical about it and even shrugged and said "It'll grow back". I contacted the owner of the franchise and asked that she either pay for a wig or hair extensions to cover my bald head, but the only thing she would offer in the way of compensation for her employees incompetence were some free haircuts. Well, that would be great if I had any hair left to cut!! The owner flatly refused to remedy this awful situation.
