On our way home from shopping for matching outfits for our Christmas card that we will be taking photos for tomorrow we realize our preferred barber shop is closed today and tomorrow. My fiancé finds this place on yelp and makes an appointment online. We arrive and immediately things are wrong with our appointment. Our profile wasn't up to date or something. Why do we need to create an online profile to get our hair cut? I don't know, maybe I'm just old fashioned. Anyway, from the start I thought this was a bad idea. The older boy goes first and things go fine with his haircut. Our younger boy goes second and gets his cut by a man (cannot remember his name for sure so I won't mention it here, tall slim guy late 40's) and it's a disaster. This guy was already annoyed at something, maybe the life choices that lead to him cutting hair for a living, who knows. He was not patient at all with toddlers, which I can kind of understand. He expected our boy who is barely out of diapers to remain unreasonably still for a buzz cut. He stopped just a few minutes into the cut exclaiming "I need a break! I'm tired!" And then coming back, getting about halfway through the cut, and then saying "I'M DONE! No charge, I'm just done!" Well, it's nice he didn't try to charge us for the privilege of being talked down to by a high school dropout drug addict service industry employee as he hacks our child's hair up the day before portraits are to be taken, but we still won't be coming back. Our regular barber at Ladies & Gentlemen's in Desert Hot Springs is always great with the kids, by the way. We will be contacting management tomorrow to see if there is any way to resolve this, but I doubt it since I wouldn't even allow the, to cut my kids hair again. read more

Tried to go here today to get my haircut as well as one for my 2 1/2 year old. The person helping us was Emily, she did not look very personable, and as it turns out, she wasn't! I told her we would be getting my sons haircut first and she placed a booster on the seat. I explained he was better sitting on my wife's lap and then proceeded to explain what we would like. She stopped me and stated she was not going to cut his hair if he moved too much. Then with a look of despair on her face, repeated herself, "I'm just not." She didn't take the time to talk with us, ask is how he does with hair cuts, or even be the slightest bit professional. We left, went to Supercuts in Palm Desert and will not be back to this place. well, you can't always get what you want... I've done a review for this shop before and it was fabulous.. I called the other day and asked for Ingrid, but she no longer worked there, so I thought - heck, I'll take a chance and just go anyway. Got there, two girls just sitting there, dark haired one looked like she had the hang-over from hell, the red-head jumped up to greet me and said it was her turn.. I didn't have a good feeling from the get go, but I sat down and showed her the picture of what I wanted anyway. From the minute she started, I knew she DIDN'T have a CLUE what she was doing. The other girl - even through her self-induced fog kept looking over with a disapproving look, but yet never really jumped in to assist or help.. long story short - left with a mess of a haircut.
