Been a regular here for years, But have reservations since they fired the whole staff and started from scratch. I wish they would understand the staff is why we go there! Change them and you are going to change/lose your customer base. I got my hair cut the other day by a guy that was very nice and did a pretty good job. But he smelled of cigarettes so bad it made me ill. I kept thinking is would go away soon but it hung heavy for the entire cut. I left and still had the smell stuck in my head, I thought it was just me until I got home and my wife complained that I stunk like a old cheap Reno Casino!!! She smelled my hair and it was the source. I had to take a shower to get rid of it... Dude!! Wash your clothes once in a while, take a shower before work, Maybe you should wash the nicotine off your hands after your cigarette breaks before you touch my hair!! read more

Stylists are too rushed to do a good job. The lady cutting my son's hair complained that she was talking so long (11 minutes) to cut his hair. Apparently this shop makes their stylists meet a quota for the night? The cut was horrible, I had to take him to another salon to get his hair fixed correctly. Great Clips is a waste of time and money and not worth the frustration. Go somewhere else that is more concerned about doing a good haircut rather than getting you in and out of the chair in 10 minutes. read more

Had to comment because this place seems to be getting too much credit. I went here last month, it was the only haircut place open after work. I wasn't expecting much but really I don't care about my hair a whole lot since I usually just hide it under a hat. Saying that should hint that the haircut must of been pretty bad. It's not so much that the haircut was "bad," I'm just used to the people doing haircuts actually putting forth a bit of time and effort. The girl looked supremely bored, never cracked a smile, spent all of 10 minutes quickly trimming the sides of my head and called it a night. It's not like she didn't have time to work longer, the place was empty. It was barely even a trim, I needed another haircut 2 weeks later because it had already grown back to where it was before. read more

Been coming to this location for several years. The manager was the one that cut my hair. Unfortunately for me she decided to see more of the world. The environment has changed. Staff still greats you when you enter, but the vide is different. Checked in and the first stylist asked if I was ready, asked them if they could do the style I wanted. They were not confident about it. The stylist that could do it took a person that checked in after I did. Maybe it's time to look for a new place for a hair cut. read more

There is a reason why I am giving this 4 stars, and it's not because of my hair cut services, but because there was one lady (I do not remember her name) who made a promise to me that really convinced me she was really amazing at what she did. So before I tell you about the amazing ladies that does my hair, I am going to share a short story of what happened, and I promise you it won't be boring either. I walk into the shop, wanting shampoo service, and at $7, not bad at all considering how great their service is. The shop was filled, so I did have to wait a bit with my sister as she wanted shampoo service as well. There was this one lady who was available to wash my hair, and so I went on first because I was in need of one badly. She then has me sit down, and tells me to trust her because everyone goes to her due to how great she washes hair, and so I was convinced it got me excited. As she runs my hair in water, she starts shampooing my hair and POOF she is all done, and it wasn't even 5 minutes! 5 minutes! I thought maybe she needs to grab the conditioner because shampoo service provides conditioner, right? I was so wrong because she was literally done, and she made me comb my own hair instead of her combing it for me. She practically left me there waiting for me to pay. I sat there combing my hair, mind you it was so damp that water was dripping down. I wished I remember her name because I thought that was poor service, so I did not tip her. My sister asked me how it went, and once I told her, she no longer wanted her hair washed. Overall that was my only one semi negative experience because other than that, every other single person who has done my hair has done a phenomenal job! I really appreciate these wonderful ladies and gents as they bring such warm greetings to their customers! Please continue what you are doing! I look forward to going back there. read more

Follow up to my incident with being refused service yesterday for my damaged and tangled hair from months of different hair products and college stress. I did call the manager and brought up my concerns in how I was treated, and the manager was extremely receptive and patient when I voiced my complaint. I felt that it was handled professionally and fairly, and I appreciate her keeping it on file and giving me a discount for my next time in. The salon should have done a better job of putting an explicit and visible policy about detangling and damaged hair, which I have seen in other salons, but this gives me hope and I would like to come back here more often, especially since I have come here for years. read more

I got a great haircut here today. I'm a chick with really short hair, and having the right cut determines whether you look like someone in the special class or an erudite hipster. My last haircut was at an Albuquerque beauty school. It was $5. And I had to drive all the way across the country with this $5 haircut. I looked pretty good in Kingman, Arizona though. Lots of under the radar mullets there. Anyways, I popped in today, was taken right away. I told my lady exactly what i wanted, and she did a great job, for just $15, in and out in about 15 minutes. Living the dream. They also take down your information, not to set you up with any bs card, but so the next time you come in they know how you like your hair. I actually plan to make this place as my son regular place for haircut but I just got a very bad customer service when I'm ready to pay and got the coupon out. One of the girl name Shari just started to tell me in a very rude way like Saying " I don't know why you are not using your coupon on your first trip" first of all I got that coupon on my first trip. Surprise to find this location open while still in pandemic phases. They seemed to do all the right things once you arrive, like take temp, wear masks, social distance customers. While all this is great, some hair stylists are not so great. Completely different crew then prior to pandemic. My stylist, Asian, seemed to know prior to my instructions what I wanted. Even after I told her she only got it 1/2 right. The cut was uneven in places, so when I got home I had my hubby fix it. I like great clips but will rethink my location read more

This place is very convenient, and usually does a great job with haircuts and trims for everybody in the family. I've had a couple of poor haircusts over the past few years, but generally pretty good results. Things can be a bit uneven, as the staff and their skill levels is quite variable. You get a random assignment of whoever is available when it's your turn. That's my one major quibble with the place. The staff seems to turn over, a lot. And often, the newer, younger stylists seem to rely more on "cute" than skill. If I can, I try to get an older than "twenty-something" stylist, the haircuts and beard trims are generally better. read more

I've been going to this location for several years, and was really happy with things until recently. The people all are really nice, but I've had my hair messed up pretty bad the last two times I went in. Both times the stylist appeared to be just recently licensed, and were being checked by the manager periodically. I have a couple a heinous cow licks that the stylists tried to completely shave off, leaving me looking like a drill sergeant with two dents in my head; my hair went from five inches long, to just a bit over an inch by the time it was all said and done. Kenny is really good, aside from Sandy (no longer there) he is the only one who had the special touch when it came to the rip-curled cow licks I was blessed with. Too bad the talent went to the sh*tter, they used to have a good thing going. read more

Very disappointed today! Checked in online, as I walked through their door, my phone let me know I was "next". Well, no, they took 3 other people ahead of me, including 2 who were on the screen as checked in after me. Two women were working in slow motion, chatting back and forth, rudely ignoring their clients, even walking away from their chairs. I guess they must get paid by the hour, just put in their time, forget about good customer service and good will. I waited for 40 minutes, then I had to leave so the rest of my afternoon would work out. I have been going here for years- guess it's time to find another salon. So disappointing!! Customer service is out the window with these people. I get there at 5 minutes to 5 on Sunday with a mop on my head, and they won't take me. They say they are 'closed' at 5 on Sunday. I don't know who cut these people's hair but it sounds like they went to a totally different place. My boyfriend goes there because he works right by and he has to go back to get them to fix it half the time. I don't know why he still goes. Then, last week I went in to get some layers put into my hair and I cannot explain how horrific this haircut is. One side has an entire extra row of layers that the other side doesn't have. The side with the missing layers is an inch longer than the side with the layers, not to mention how choppy and awkward the layers are in the first place. Worst haircut in my life. They are courteous and the hair cuts are what you'd expect from a more expensive establishment. Also, they are fantastic with my "special needs" child. I've since moved some distance away.
