So I hadn't been here for a long time, but my son needed a back to school cut and I figured I could get my very long hair trimmed at the same time. As we entered the gal asked, "Did you check in online?" and I answered no. Now, in my opinion, at this point, they should have explained that anyone who had checked in online before we arrived would be taken ahead of us, even if they arrived 20 or 30 minutes later. My son got right in for a cut and the cut was ok, even though I asked only that the back and sides be trimmed, as he was growing out a summer cut, the gal kept cutting the top and every time I'd look up she'd see me and go back to the sides. Anyway, there was no one ahead of us and it said 15 minute wait time when we signed in. Well, there were only 2 people cutting hair and people kept walking in and stating, "I registered on line" and going ahead of us. After waiting almost 45 minutes, with my name finally being on top, a woman came in and said, 'I'm here for the interview". One of the people cutting hair said, "As soon as I'm finished we can do it". Well, that meant that only one person would be cutting hair and she just started cutting a very particular client's hair. Knowing my wait would be at least 20 minutes longer, I just asked that they ring me up for my sons cut. I had a couple of products I wanted to purchase and one of them would not ring up. The gal had to get the other gal over and they tried over and over again to ring it up, but it would not ring up. The first gal asked, "Can't we just put the price in?" but the other gal was insisting it could not be done. So, there goes another 5 minutes. I finally said to just forget about it. I paid and was walking out and the girl called after me, "It rings up now, want to buy it?". No, after almost an hour, with no cut for me and such ineptitude, in my opinion, I was done. Had they explained to me that there were folks who would go ahead of me in line, if they had registered online, I would have a different review. But to not explain how the system works and then have so few people cutting hair and an interview scheduled, therefore knowing my wait would be much longer than the 15 minutes the monitor showed when I walked in, I can't recommend this place. read more

I have been here twice now and it's been a great experience. Firstly, all the ladies there are very friendly, and immediately greet you and check you in when you enter so you are not left to wonder 'when am I up'. Now I want to talk about one hairstylist in particular. Her name is Vanessa and she rocks. So I am a dude and it's not too complex for me to get a haircut but yet it is. In a way that I have the sorta hair which never complied and pisses me off and I have always had trouble finding the right thing to do with it. Been to numerous different barbers and they do their job well, but that's where it stops. In a way that they do exactly what you ask them but no hint more. Now Vanessa is different. First time I went there, I saw her communicating with the client before me and telling him how to care better for his hair (for he had questions) and giving him very meaningful advice based on his hair type. Then fortunately she opened up and I was next. She did the same for me. She really is passionate about her profession, her talent/skill and really takes time to look at your hair type and help you style it properly. She knows her shit well and only experience can make someone know as much as she knows. She is great to talk with about what sort of hair issues you may run into and how you can fix the problem. The salon I normally go to was closed so I decided to try this one out. Horrible decision. I knew that a cut would be $18 and I just wanted to just take 2 inches off my hair. However, my hair came out looking so choppy I had to try and fix it back home. Furthermore, I decided to pay with card and it asked me if I wanted to tip. I figured that maybe she was having a bad day so I clicked yes but there was some technically difficulty with the machine so my tip didn't go through. Then another lady came and asked if I tipped, I replied, "yes but I don't know what happened." Then she started mumbling, " what do you mean you don't know, of course you know." I've been taking my son here for a year or so now. The best part about this Great Clips is consistency. They cut his hair the same way every time. The price is also reasonable. I'm not a huge fan of the greenhouse shopping center, but I can deal with it during non-peak hours. The on-line check in feature is also great. The stylists are all great with kids and very friendly. My first experience. At this place was less then satisfactory. I went in, there were 2 very friendly ladies there when I arrived, the younger one was busier and an old lady offered to cut my hair. She was nice, said she USED to work at one of the barbershops I told her I regularly go to, and that she used to cut for celebrities. When she was cutting my hair, she told that the celebrities she used to cut hair for the cast members of the show survivor. I thought to myself "Don't they supposedly live off the land in that show? For those people that love getting fades (like me), this is not the place for you if you like to get a zero on the side or a "skin" cut. I came in here because my favorite place closes early (730pm). I asked for a #2 on top, and a #0 on the side (skin). The Indian lady said ok. After she said she was done, I checked my hair and the sides were still high. I asked for a skin cut and she said her equipment wouldn't allow her to cut that low. I then thought to myself if you weren't able to get me a true #0 (skin), then why did you start cutting? I will admit she was very nice and courteous. However, the price of the haircut was easily double the price of my usual place ($8 vs. $15.). I definitely won't be coming back here again if I can't get what I want. I usually get fades every 2-3 weeks too. I'm inclined to go back to my usual place just to get my #0 on the side even though I just got my cut yesterday. read more

Walked right in at 815 last Friday for my mom to get a quick haircut. Super friendly ladies and they did a great job.

Bad service. Always have new people in this location when going to there do haircut. And always asking how do you want your haircut ? They can put those info in the system after haircut. But they are not, then keep asking and do the wrong haircut, not respect customers. They only look at how much tips you willing to pay for it. Good service get good tips. Last couple of times I had really new stylist and you can tell they have no business cutting hair. I used this place for convenience with the mobile checking feature to minimize the wait. The staff that has been there for a long time are good. Stay away from the new ones. Great Clips needs to make sure the people working are good at what they do. read more

I wish that they would hire people who read, write and UNDERSTAND English. I tell them 1/4" off the bottom, light-trim, just touch-up, and it seems each one wants to jump in and remove a chunk of hair. You jump and say NOOOO...... but by then the damage is done. My advice......have someone at home learn to trim your hair. read more

I went to get my haircut before I had to go back to school and Jimmy was ready to cut my hair and right away I was like 'here we go' he got the razor and it felt like a drill drilling into my head he started to shave "hair" on my neck and it left red marks. He put his two fingers on my head and it hurt so bad it was like 2 hammers digging into my head. Adriana was awesome! Didn't book an appointment but got me in right away without a wait. She's the only one who executed exactly what I had in mind that I couldn't seem to find with the other stylists. Even when people came in after she still took her time and made it a point to leave me with what I wanted; and the best part was that she wasn't robotic and quiet even though I'm not much of a talker at the salon myself. Just kept the mood up. Only downside was she asked how to pronounce my name which led me confused but later found out they spelled it "Devid" on my record which I found pretty funny. Yesterday went to get a haircut. I've gotten my hair cut there several times, never great but it's close to home so it's convenient. Yesterday I really regret it, the lady who did it (older Asian woman w/glasses) pulled at least 5 times really hard. About 2-3 times my eyes got teary and even though I said Ouch...she still pulled after that. At the end when I paid ($16 dollars) she was looking at me like expecting a tip...seriously my scalp was throbbing when I got home. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!I went yestersay to get a haircut and the lady messed it up. I asked for a fade on the side and it was completely blended wrong as one side was longer and crooked. At the time i couldnt see the mistake, i took off my glasses at the time, and she already put gel on. I saw something was wrong but thought maybe it was the gel. So i went home n washed my hair and saw the diaster. I had to go work lookiing like tht. Then Today i went in get it fixed and this lady made it looked more horrendous than the last. I only asked to get the portion even out to look like the other side and she cut my hair even shorter than before. Its fucking ridiculous. Then this lady tried to get me to complain bout the other lady thru the corporate n on yelp. But here i am complaining bout them both. FUCk this place. These people dont know how to cut for shit.
